Reliance Communications — Complaint Against Cheating by Reliance (No.: [protected])

I was a user of Reliance CDMA services vide Pro 3 Datacard no. - [protected] with the unlimited bill plan of Rs 550/- giving 5GB day and 5GB night free bundled HSD usage and unlimited usage at 1X speed beyond this limit.

After continuous intimations through letter, e-mail and SMS from Reliance that they are terminating CDMA services, I was forced to upgrade to Reliance 4G and buy the WiPod.

In all the communications from Reliance, it had been assured that upon upgrading to 4G there will be no escalation/change in my current data plan rental and benefits (It is mentioned in the Letter I received from Reliance, in all the e-mail communications that Reliance sent to me and even mentioned on the websitewww.rcom.co.in/Rcom/personal/4G/ under FAQ section). In addition to this 10GB of free data was also offered to lure me to upgrade to 4G.

Hence, left with no other choice, I had to upgrade to Reliance 4G and buy the WiPod. Upon activation of WiPod and 4G services, I kept using them as per my bill plan and above Reliance communication/commitment/offers.

Suddenly on 27th July, the datacard stopped working and when I inquired on Reliance Call Center, I was told that my services have been terminated as the generated bill is beyond my Credit Limit. When I got the bill, I was surprised to find that I have been charged as per Rs 1100/- bill plan having only total bundled usage of 5GB and then also charged for addition usage. When I again inquired about the same at Reliance Call Center, they were not able to clarify above points and only thing they has to tell me was that you have to pay this amount.


Please note that my usage was based on the commitments from Reliance that there will be no change in my current data plan rental and benefits plus an additional 10GB free data has been offered.


There was no intimation from Reliance by any means i.e. through call, e-mail, letter or sms that the bill plan is been changed. Then, how user will know that what is his usage limit and how he will be charged. This is really unethical and cheating practice by Reliance to lure users with false commitments, use their services and then charge them undue hefty amounts after that.


Now, please note that I am not going to accept this cheating and request you to please terminate my connection/Services with immediate affect.

In case if Reliance accepts mistake at their end, I need resolution to my following grievances:
1. The bill generated on 27-Jul-16 needs to be corrected as per above commitments to enable me to pay accordingly.
2. I am not liable to pay for the period from 27-Jul-16 till the issue is resolved and services are resumed. (As my services has already been terminated w.e.f. 27-Jul-16).

Else, terminate all my services with immediate effect and I will not be liable to pay for any services beyond the date of this e-mail.
