[Resolved]  Reliance General Insurance — Claim processing fraud

I wanted to share my worst experience with the worst insurance company, no customer service and no professional ethics.

I planned a trip to Shirdi (with my family wife & son) on 10 Feb 2020 on Spicejet (PNR-QB9DGZ) through make my trip. During the booking make my trip offered a travel insurance from Reliance General Insurance. So I booked the travel insurance.

On the day of travel my flight (SG329) was cancelled by the spicejet airline due to bad weather at shirdi airport and there was no other flight to shirdi that day.

I called the reliance general insurance customer care to book a claim and they assigned me & my family claim no.[protected]/[protected]/[protected].

After that i submitted all the documents which they have asked for it through courier (2 times) and emailed (too many times) the same to them (RGICL.[protected]@reliancegeneral.co.in). I have been following up with the customer care and every time they give false promises and delay by some server. For the past 1 year I have been following up with them.

In spite of calling the customer care too many times, escalating the issue to their higher officer and after submitting all those documents several times finally i got the denial letter mentioning the reason

"Due to lock down reasons - Airlines / partners cancelled the trip and initiated for full refund / issued Credit voucher" completely fake reason which is no way related to my claim.

They don't really care for the customer and only show interest in selling the insurance and I really lost hope. They have no intention of processing a claim with true intention.
