Reliance Jio Infocomm — Denial of SIM Reissue Outside Original City Against DoT Guideline

I am a customer of Reliance Jio with mobile number [protected] which has been deactivated due to non-recharge.

The SIM was was ported into jio in Bangalore (from Airtel) issued in Bangalore. As i am living outside India since last three years, and my hometown is in U.P., so i don't have so much time to visit Banglore . I just travel to Delhi for few days to reopen my SIM

I visited a local Jio store, but I was denied SIM reissue and asked to return to Chennai. As per DoT guidelines, re-KYC and SIM reissue should be allowed across India with proper verification.

I don't understand in the era of 2026 digital India how much customer like me are suffering .

I am willing to complete full KYC, but the service provider is refusing to process my request at my current location.

I request intervention to:

Allow reissue of my number at my current location
Ensure compliance with DoT guidelines

This number is important as it is linked to my bank and essential services.
