We had good jio connection at my place [Siddeshwari, Chowk, Varanasi - 221001]. Most of my family had one jio sim, which was also the primary sim since the services were good here. But towards end of September, we started having network issues. We were not able to use internet and calling also got really bad. Call drops started to happen, and not one call went without disturbance. There are only some areas where the network works a little bit but we can't sit there all day, right? Mind you we have paid 666 for 3-month plan so we are bound to use this disastrous service and can't port since the money would go waste (not that we are being able to use even 10% of it currently). On calling them, we only get prewritten responses, and no progress has been made yet. I demand refunds or allowance to let us use the data and call hours that we were deprived of on other networks (or if they fix it by the weekend, then they provide that as extension). You can't just take our money and let us be at your mercy as if you are the one paying my bills. Telecom sector administration needs to put some laws to protect interests of common citizens for the money they are paying. Now, as we are in an era where we rely on internet to connect, carry out business, entertain, study, shop how careless it is to leave the issue unattended for around month, and the fact that they already know it but don't give you an alternative meanwhile they are "fixing" it is annoying. The locality is actually a crowded one, imagine how many JIO users here who don't have wifi or an alternative must have been troubled by this issue.
Now, in order to make things work we had to get additional plans on other sims (also only devices with 2 separate 4g sim slots had this privilege) which is extra cost paid by us.
I need Jio to arrange refunds /repeat plans to cover the time period with their network issue after fixing it within a week.
