[Resolved] Reliance Trends — misleading customers | |
I had selected items worth approx rs 2550/- from the reliance trends outlet in phoenix mall, pune. The billing staff informed me that in case i were to an additional shopping of rs 500/- i will be entitled to a gift voucher set of rs 2, 000/- with rs 1, 000/- for online shopping and rs 1, 000/- for in-store shopping. No other information was intimated. To avail the offer i purchased three other items for an overall bill of rs 3, 749/- (Bill no c#60382872 dated 08/08/2018). Consequent to the payment i was directed to the customer care office where i was handed over the vouchers. On reading the terms and conditions it was evident that a further shopping of rs 4499/- (Rs 2499 online and rs 2000 in-store) is to be carried out to utilise the coupons. Misleading information resulted in wastage of nearly 45 mins to resolve the issue. The details were conveyed to the store manager mr joseph who expressed his helpless and passed the blame on to the staff with a promise to ensure that they staff briefs the customers in details in future. Conduct of this nature is unbecoming of a brand of reliance and amounts to cheap practises amounting to cheating by misleading customers. Was this information helpful? | |
