[Resolved]  Renault — handling charge / post sales services

When i went to inquire for purchasing a renault car (Duster), i could see that the dealer was adding around 12k as post sales charger. On asking, the manager said that it is the cost incurred by the showroom to bring the car from chennai plant to hyderabad and also local handling of it.

I understand from various forums and internet news that it is illegal for car company/showrooms to charge this amount on the customers.

While reviewing other cars like ford ecosports, hyundai creta, mahindra tuv etc, i could see other manufacturers were not charging such an amount under any header.

Around 8-9 months ago, i bought a renault kwid amt and i remember a similar amount was paid by me as i didnt have any option.

1. Can renault pls confirm if this handling charge being included by showroom as per the knowledge and directive of renault?

2. Isn't this illegal to charge handling fees

3. Why is it seen only for renault showrooms that this is being charged while other car showrooms (Mentioned above) do not charge this?

Is there any public forum update where we can see the stance taken by renault company on this?

Mauni know the conclusion of this conversation.
I faced similar kind of situation @L.B Nagar showroom for Triber enquiry.
Why this amount included in onroad quotation. It's showroom responsible to transport carefully with out any damages.
Why people's are saying chennai name.
It's Hyderabad ex-showroom price.
Are this people's are dealers or transporters...?
