Reserve Bank Of India [RBI] — Refusal of old currencies by kotak bank, new alipore branch, kolkata | |||||
My wife have opened an savings account no.[protected] completing every formalities like KYC norms with Kotak bank, new alipore branch, kolkata having IFSC code KKBK00006563. Yesterday I approached bank to deposit cash amount more than Rs.5000/-, its respected lady branch manager strictly denied to deposit so, pretending that there is no such direction from RBI to do so. I have asked her to show RBI directions regarding not depositing old currencies but no positive feedback. Moreover, she said that she was not bound with RBI. Today, again after lifting all restrictions from RBI, bank is still refusing to do so. Yesterday, I have asked your cooperation with Twitter, but no positive response. We have faith in our government but your financial institutions are cheating us Aam aadmi. Please cooperate & clarify urgently what should I do as time is running out.
