Royal Enfield — Bike in service center for more than a week

My bike has been standing at the Royal Enfield service center in Uppal, Hyderabad for more than 10 days now.
Issue?
A tapping sound from the engine.
The service center says the head needs replacement.
But the real question is — why isn’t such an important spare part even available?
Why should customers keep waiting for days or weeks after spending lakhs on a bike?
Why is there no proper timeline?
Why does every update become ‘2 more days sir’?
