I have received bunker bed and the quality of product is not good and not similar as i saw in shop.
The whole purpose of buying a product from shop is to get the product which has been displayed and not getting whatever is coming by luck as in online shopping.
My experience with royal oak is not good.
As per our discussion on phone with customer services i sent images of the product.
Below are the important faults due to which i can not except the product:
1. Base slabs have crack in it, which makes it not a safe product to use.
2. Powder post beetles wood damage, not at all accepted. It was not in the product which was on display.
3. Wood damaged by termites. It can damage my other furniture too and also not good for kids health.
4. Scratch on the product, it might be fixable but i have not brought second hand product.
Overall the quality of wood is 2nd grade or may be lower.
The product which is on display in shop has been in good condition with no termites and other bugs issue also no crack.
It seems that i have been cheated as a customer by a so called standard shop "royal oak".
I don't want to accept this product not want some one to repair it as this is new product.
Despite raising this issue when the technician came to fix the bed, it has not been resolved till now. All they are saying is to change 2 base plates but no other part.
There customer service persons are very rude to talk, they dont even listen a customer is saying. There employes give them wrong information.
After making it clear that they will change all the decided parts, a person called from royaloak from [protected] at 11:59 am and told me that he will come around 5pm to exchange the parts.
I stayed at home during that time. He didnt turned up. I called him at 5:15 and asked about his whereabouts. He told that he is on sarjapur road and will be at my home in an hour.
I waited again for 2 hours at home for him to turned up.
But neither he turned up nor he bothered to call me to tell me his plan.
I called again around 7:15pm, i called 5 times but he didn't pick the call.
He didn't even bothered to inform me.
If he could have made it clear in the morning or even at 5 that he is not able to come today then at least i dint need to change my plan and could have finished my work.
Next day when i sent email to their customer services, their response was "yesterday our technician had called and told that he is coming to your place with mattress strip but you have not allowed them to come to your place".
I am all fed up to chase them for this case.
I waited for long time to buy wooden bunk bed, only because i wanted to buy a bed without any termite removed filling, without any cracks, but at the end i have got the bed with full of these, with bad experience of customer services.
If it would be a good respected company they should offer the return on the product on first instance when their customer was not satisfy of the bad product which they have supplied.
