I submitted my application for learner license renewal on[protected] and since then status is Application is under processing at RTO Level, Transaction Name - ISSUE OF LEARNERS LICENCE, Application Processing Stage - SCRUTINY - (Verification of Proof Documents), Counter - SCRUTINY2.
No reason of application hold is specified in remarks and it is in same status since 4 months. Tried to contact RTO office multiple times but no one answered call. Finally, visited RTO office and came to know that they need old license photo copy, current application hard copy, Adhaar photo copy and 10th marksheet photo copy.
Now, I will have to visit again for submitting these documents.
It is strange that just to know why application is in hold, visiting RTO office is required and then what is the significance of online portal - Application objection / hold details field added to that portal and calling service. It seems to be like wastage of money and applicant's time who is viewing application again and again at https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/ website to get an idea of current status or hold reason.
It takes around 1-2 hour for 1 visit of RTO office which impacts applicant's productivity in his/her professional life.
I understand that RTO visit is required for some procedures but visit to know status or reason for hold can be avoided by simply updating application. There should be some respect of applicant's time too.
