Today ie mar.15, 2017, i visited rto, ajmer at 12 noon to appear for my online test for learner"s license which had been fixed for 1.00 pm - 1.30 pm slot - ref. My application # 67855917 under 'sarathi' scheme under which i had applied online for issuance of learner's licence.
Though i appreciate 'sarathi' scheme which has drastically eased the earlier cumbersome process and has curbed corruption, i was appalled to see the all round anarchy, absence of help desk, discourtesy of dealing staff towards applicants, visible arrogance of staff, an attitude of shear neglect of duty and above all, condemnation of online system by dealing staff before me and the visitors, resulting in long queues and chaos at nearly all counters.
For getting a simple learner's license (For which i had already applied online), i had to stand in queue at 3 different counters wasting almost an hour due to apathetic, grudging counter staff while the entire process could be handled seamlessly at a single counter.
Rto, ajmer particularly and rtos elsewhere in general must improve and streamline their services to public.
As far as my perception goes, rtos are one of the most hated govt. Deptts because of the incompetence, corruption and discourtesy of their staff, right from peon upwards.
As an aware customer, i demand immediate corrective steps to ensure good governance and top class service to public / customers by rto, ajmer.
RTO India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
