Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a 25 year old man writing this to you with a very low confidence. The confidence that was disgracefully broken for showing honesty to a traffic police official. After today's incidence, I no longer have faith in people who have been designated to work for my well being.
I am disheartened by the fact that I was fined for following the instructions of a traffic police officer not realizing that I am falling in a trap. While I was standing behind the zebra crossing at a manually controlled shivaji chowk crossing at Hinjewadi Pune, the officer standing next to me signalled me to go. As I went ahead, the one at the other end asked me to stop and go back. I simply followed. But the one standing next to me said that I was driving against police signal. He took my license. Later when I explained that I had moved ahead only because the officer asked me to, he said he is fining me for having fancy number plate. But the number plate actually had just a small label of the manufacturer (Yamaha). This comes from the company (Yamaha) itself. If I would have ever needed a fancy number plate, why would I have Yamaha written on it. I could have had my name, or some God's mantra etc etc..
While all yamaha bike riders were having the same number plate, I was paying the price. I was given a ticket having offence MVA 119/177. The officer told me that this maps to fancy number plate. Later I came to know its for voilating traffic signal (While they had already accepted that I did not break any signal rules and only followed their instructions).
Also when I tried to explain him, he simply said "You want to go soon or you want to be late for office."
I do not if any action will be taken in this regard or not. But I surely understand that traffic cops are not working for our benefit but for filling their pockets.

This is a complaint against the auto drivers at the auto stand in Vimannagar (opposite Royal Towers--near Baker office). Most of the auto drivers do not go by meter, they charge very high and are extremely rude. Last evening, we asked them to take us to Samarthnagar in vadgaonsheri, which comes at max 30 (by meter, it is even lesser). They asked for 50, 40 and nothing less than that. When we protested saying, it takes much lesser, they started talking rudely. When we said that we will take the numbers and complain to RTO, they started fighting. One of them even came forward as if to assault. Finally, we left them and walked ahead to find an auto. This is not the first time they have showed this atrocious behaviour. Is the Pune RTO going to do anything at all? Or should we continue to be abused by such men? For auto drivers like these, the rest of the auto drivers get a bad name. Its about time, they get some punishment. Bunch of hooligans!!!

The Folks who collect the money and give the receipts in KGF RTO openly collects bribes for every transaction.

Janardhan was the person who was on duty on 12/07/2010 in the fee collection window and he had collected an excess of Rs 10 for every transaction and when questioned he says "it is the same for all not only for you"

Please take action on this corrupt fellow.

There is lot of illegal parking on footpath on road no 5, shivaji park leaving no space to walk normally we have to squeeze ourself to walk and many a times many old people have fallen trying to juggle their way through. and some of these cars are always parked throughout the day. Secondly, there are lots of garages around these owners of garages carry out their repairing and other work related to their customers on these footpaths blocking the pedestrians way completely and when asked why do u do it on footpath then they abuse people as if they were the king of the area and the footpath belongs to them. there are small fines occasionally levied on them by traffic police of Mahim Beat but they pay the fine and continue doing the same thing. the whole footpath adjoining the building called shivsagar on road no 5 and the road opp it is filled with these cars also double lane parking or sometimes three lanes parked and garages carrying out their repairing work and also keeping all the broken glass and waste materials from these repairing on the footpath itself. i would request you to please take a necessary action as soon as possible and help people walk on footpath and not on roads and avoid all accidents and problems one has to face while crossing the lane. these are few numbers of the cars who are parked on footpath - Santro MH 02 LA 4769, Santro MH 04 BS 7102, Logan MH 01 AC 5769, Maruti 800 MH 01 YA 723, Swift MH 01 AE 3973, Swift Mh 01 PA 2221, Santro MH 01 VA 7192, Santro MH 04 BN 4585, Accent MH 04 BH 1807, Scorpio MH 02 NA 2473

I have applied for "Transfer of Owner ship" for my second car, which I purchased on 18th May 2010.

Till now they data is not found, there is some technical issue, but without that in worst case, I cannot claim my insurance and as you know now a days, on roads its not advisable for driving without proper insurance for a Car.

Please help me in resolving this issue, Am getting tensed while driving.

My office is located near andheri station and everyday ive to catch a rick for station.the autowallahs simply say no or they ignore u i[censored] say that u want to go andheri station.They act too bad that u feel like standing like a fool in front of other people at their refusal to go and come from andheri station .Please do something or send somebody to check the real problem of model town takshila andheri east about the rickshaw wallahs.They even charge more as i commute daily i know the average fare ,their meter is fast comparitively.Due to the rise in auto fares they ask of absurd charges.PLEASE PROVIDE A NEW GENUINE FARE CHART IF POSSIBLE AND OBLIGE...
I stay on mumbai as i think this is the safest place for women but iam facing lot of problems because of this.Please help ...

I wish I had read this forum about the India Postal dept's reliability! I recently got my parcel contents stolen. I booked a parcel from Kanpur to Hyderabad and the contents were stolen and replaced by some junk. Most certainly it is the act of someone insider to the Postal Dept. My loss is worth of about 10000/-. More than the monetary loss it's the emotional distress that I'm going through because the packet was entrusted to me by a friend to be sent to her family!!

I'm never going to send anything important by Speed Post. Indian Postal department sucks!! ** PLEASE NEVER SEND ANY VALUABLES VIA INDIAN POSTAL DEPT.**

Dear Sir,

I had purchased a LOGAN DLE Java Brown from Royal motors, kolkata 26, on june 2009 and money for registration was submitted in RTO , Alipore -cash memo no.-FG860171 for registration of my car-WB-20U-1587.
Its been one year and I have not received my blue book/smart card till date.The registration was done for us from Royal Motors, 135A S.P Mukherjee Road,Kol-26. On repeated queries we are being told that it will be done but no information till date. I am a doctor and if I face any problem on road how will I manage withot a smart card document.Please take needed action against Royal motors or RTO for rapid action.

This is to complaint against most of the auto Rickshaw drivers who do not carry the new rate card. Commuters are forced to pay more as per the old card.
I have this specific complaint against Auto number MH12 AU4987, but this is not restricted to this particular auto. The only reason I am reporting this particular auto is because the driver called me a lair and fought with me even when he was wrong. This thing...

M/s Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company Ltd, Coimbatore has send an Insurance Policy to Mrs. Sheela Jebakumari (No.3, Pada Salai Street, Pooncheri Village, Mahabalipuram Post, Kanchipuram Dist.,) vide the above mentioned speed post reference number on 6th May 2010 from Coimbatore post office.

Its almost 40 days and we are yet to receive the consignment and there is no response till now. While following up with the respective post office at Mahabalipuram Post office, the post office staff are replying in a very rude manner and that they have not received any consignment with the above mentioned speed post reference number. Do we deserve this kind of treatment from postal staff ??

Kindly request you to please look into the same and revert back, since we running from pillar to post to track the speed post and we are put through lots of hardship and mental agony by your department in handling its customers.

i had checked the status on 5/6/2010 8.00PM what is this.
i want to know how much time is required to delever the speed post in india.
if these had been delieverd then why details are not updated.

is this best service of india postal service how we can rely on this type of services.

This is the incident which is happended in Kakkanad Seaport-Airport signal.
I was coming towards to CSEZ. Since the signal was Green i take the bike through
the right side of road (left nearby to the median...). But the normaly even the trafic polices are also allowed for passing through right during the green signal for avoiding the trafic jam since there is the signal will be green at a time only in one direction.

The RTO officer asked me did u the the wrong the i have done. i Said "Yes" and conveyed him normaly polices are allowing to pass through that way too that is the reason why took the bike through that direction. And i tell him i am ready to pay the fine the for the same. Immediately he used the some abuse to words to fire me and Asked me said he will suspend the my licence. and taken my licence too. and asked me collect the licence from police station.


Please let me know what i have to do. Whether is the crime for suspend the licence?? How much i want to pay fine..?

I am employee in Deloitte, and often i take auto from Paradise hotel to Hi-Tech. I complain most auto drivers have manipulated there meters and traffic police is aware of the fact. Today i came one auto it was showing distance 25 kms and 140/rs but actual distance from there is only 15-17 kms. That can be confirmed. I fought to auto driver and he also rerdy to fight i went to Traffic police he shon him meter . I wonder by just looking meter(which driver had already initialized , and something that driver said to police which i didnt understand) Traffic police said it is fine and didnt listen to me.
I had been in different cities, But i see in Hyderbad traffic police see IT employee as main source of income now and then do checking and ask for money without reason. They doesnt care for Traffic rule violation people driving in wrong direction, without helmat. And mainly Autos which didnt go generally for near distance if you ask them. and Manipulate meters.
Please look into matter.

I am reproducing below the complaint sent to the Mumbai Traffic police on Feb 6, 2010. This was followed up on feb 16th, then on April 29th and finally an e mail was sent to Mr. Jadhav the Dy. Traffic commissioner on May 11. As yet no action is forthcoming. Can some one help in awakening the department.

Dear Sirs,

This is to bring to your notice the tremendous shortage of parking at
Andheri(E) station especially after the closure of the WR pay & park.

The one side (up to 2pm on one side and after2 pm on the other) near the
station os choked with vehicles. Even this space is now encroached by
shopkeeprers who have constructed iron platforms to mahe a passageway to
their shops, there by reducing the parking available.

You are requested to pl look into the matter and remove these encroachments
and ease the problems of parking.

My father had sent me an urgent document on 4th may 2010 from Kolkata bearing shipment no SPEW[protected] and its already 5 days of shipment and I haven't received the mail and each time I am calling the post office,the officer in-charge is asking me to contact either Daman post office or Somnath Post office or any one else.What is this?
Please look into the matter and deliver the letter immediately as its really important.I am begging you kindly do the favor.

A twin city with Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad has grown to the level of any other growing cities in India. But sadly it doesn't have Auto Prepaid booth. Any person who lands on the airport, bus stand, railway station will first have a question. No. Pune once had started with prepaid auto booth but they were unsuccessful as auto drivers denied to it. And as usual auto drivers did not cooperate. And the so called RTO department withdrawn it. RTO also has provided a complaint number & email id to send complaint about the Auto drivers. But you cannot register your complaints as phone will not be lifted & mail will not be delivered to ([protected]@dataone.in) RTO due to "over quota". Well "Over Quota" that's what the mail server responses with an delivery error. The corruption will continue in Pune. It will take years to wipe their brains & make them modernize.
