If you have had a bad experience with shaadi.com and have been asked to submit personal documents which were not asked for when you paid then you should have every reason to get pissed off. To all potential members of shaadi-people who are reading this as they have still not joined OR ones looking to renew!

The gist is that this shaadi scam are just internet fraudsters who accept your money and then ban you from site unless you provide them highly personal information. Which OF COURSE they pass on to their internet marketing partners and then you start being bombarded with all sorts of shady messages and calls whether you are in DND or not!
DO NOT SIGN UP with them unless they give you explicit details of the sort of information they need from you
Trust me-you dont want an over zealous, illiterate bunch of internet aunties trying to judge as to whether you are serious about marriage or not. AND DEFRAUDING you of money if they 'think' you are not

Shaadi.com are the biggest scamsters. They even monitor your chats and emails on shaadi with other members. I have been banned while I was in conversation with someone who I could have married. I had not got her cell number but we were talking regularly. Then suddenly shaadi banned me in six months for a one year paid membership asking for my personal documents which they had not asked at the beginning when they asked my money. Then I had to rejoin with a different email id and pay again to get in touch with that member. Then I came to know that member was a shaadi staff member who was forcing me to pay for their highest personal care membership of 36000. I said no so they banned me again in a few days of member ship. Right now shaadi.com owes me 15000 rs for taking my money and not letting me use the membership benefits instead banning me. Do remember they have my credit card details.

I feel shaadi.com especially select shaadi.com are indulging in highly fradulent activity by not providing even 1% of the committed service and simply taking away money for free. Wish I had read this review page before thinking of oping them .

DO NOT RISK USING 'SHADY' SHAADI! You will be sorry!
I would categorize this organization as fraudulent, shady, and criminal.
Although they profess to protect 'privacy of information' they are allowing unsolicited contact by undesirable members.
They request ID and job information AFTER one has paid for membership!
If this was an 'up front' request AND requested of ALL members then it would be reasonable and a very good practice.
However, their request was only made after I complained of an unsolicited, aggressive, and rude call...then asked me to provide ID and job information! Quite the twist!
They have posted my pictures, they have have my telephone, they have my credit card data to charge my account. They even have my address that goes along with credit card payment.
This is more than a reasonable amount of information for such a site.
Just be aware that several individuals...actually most I have communicated with, have the same complaint about this site.
Their telephone number has not once worked! "Circuits busy" is the message.
This is a bad place to provide any of your information.
