[Resolved] Shaha Finlease — Offers intended to blackmail

Continuing on my previous complaint, shaha finlease is sent me 2 offers on a wrongly entered written off amount, with a clarification (1) If I paid X amount they will make my balance 0 in the credit report but my status will be SPWOFF - settled post write off which is still not a clean report (2) if I paid X + 10k they will give me a clean report. Hi Kanya, so is the issue settled ? Did you give your phone number to them ? Or entire conversation happened on email. What is the guarantee that they will not ask money after 5 years of the settlement ?

hi,

I did not give them my phone number. Also my conversations are on email so i have proof. if they insisted on calling me i told them to call my lawyer. They posted 24Lacs on the cibil reports and their first offer was for 54k. So quoting 24L was also an attempt to threaten us. They finally settled for 27k and gave me a No Due cerficate and cleared by cibil report.
