I have paid 3290rs 08 August 2023 for application boost and resume boost they told me that after payment they will provide options for job on their portal but everything was fraud still am waiting but there is nothing happened there are no any single option job to apply for me now I want my money back but they are talking like money is not refundable their customer care and senior executive told me so many lies before payment please help me out

    Its been a Very Bad Decision Trusting Shine.com for taking Recruitment Database Services from you. In the Last 2 Months, This is the 3rd Time that my Database Services have been Restricted and Stopped for No Fault of ours. I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the recruitment database services provided by Shine.com. Regrettably, the experience has not been in line with our expectations, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention.

      Cheated through there hidden charges and before every payment, they said it is last payment you need to pay. They are cheating people in the name of HT media.

      On 28 and 31 July, 2023 I received a call from shine.com that they will help in finding a job for me and provide premium services. To create an account, I would have to pay Rs.3327. I made the payment and was connected to another person(Aman).

      Aman, Umesh and Virendra asked me to make a few more payments cumulatively worth more than Rs.100000 on incremental stages without revealing the full details of all the payments.

      First I was asked to make a payment of Rs. 8151 for educational verification.

      Then I was asked to make a payment of Rs. 14724 for company verification.

      But then sent another request of Rs. 33746 and said that this is the final payment that you have to make and then the profile would be live. I was reluctant to pay but then I said okay will do it.

      But here comes the shocker, finally the executive asked me to make the payment of Rs. 42354 to make the profile live.

      And this is when I had it. I just didn't want the service at all. It doens't make sense.

      I just said please don't give me the services, to which he said that we don't refund the money. But the profile won't be live until Rs. 42k aprox. is paid.

      So, I was left in a limbo and frustation, I can't get the refund, I can't have the profile live. I just want the refund of all the amount I have paid. These are hidden charges and do nothing but dupe the customer.

      I was duped into making payments forced to as they were continuously telling me, they won't provide me opportunities and interviews without paying for these services and they never told about any of these services or any of their process in the starting when I paid 3000 plus gst. Cheated through their hidden charges and before every payment, they said it is last payment you need to pay. They are cheating people in the name of HT media.

      Today, I got a call from Accounting manager Shine.com Noida, he refused to tell me his name and asked to pay Rs. 10800 then only they will refund my money. He said he has got call regarding my complaint from his nearby police station who friends with him. So, if don't pay this 10k then i won't get any refund.

      He refused to sent any email invoice regarding this from shine.com to pay Rs. 10800 for the taxes.

      I got connected with your customer they told me to use your service and forget about refund, and sent me mail that they have provided solution over the call.

      I haven't received any refund till date. Only calls again and again same stupid thing and also how many times I have to tell I don't want your dumb services to make my resume bold and verify my documents and what the hell is profile verification ??? interview hiring tests why would I opt for that crap, when companies take their own interviews/tests.

      Stop activating your fraud dumb crap of services. And refund or you guys are forcing me to take serious legal actions against all involved in looting me of Rs. 59949.

      I have all calls recorded, where those guys told me this last payment sir, and then within a minute send another invoice of double the amount I just paid.

      STOP looting innocent people in the name of providing jobs interviews.

      And I am unable to update my normal profile. My location and many things are showing incorrectly and when trying to update it's giving error on both mobile app and website. And my profile is showing last updated 3 months ago.

        I have applied for a job over Job Portal Shine. After few minutes I received a call from a fraudster stating that she is from Shine and wanted me to click on a link to activate my profile. When I refused, she pinged me with abuses.
        She called herself Sonia and from Shine, her number is [protected]. She has deleted all the abuses for which I could not take the screenshot. Her Profile says Shine and its a Business Account.
        Shine has revealed my number to such fraudsters and created such a mess, it was my awareness which has saved me else I would have lost money by that fraud. Also if such things are not stopped these people will try fooling so many youngsters who are in need of a job.

          Hello Shine Team

          I was called by the Shine Team today through Multiple Numbers
          1.[protected]Tushar)
          He has suggested that I buy a Resume Booster Service for which 3657 Inr. I have accepted this service & bought this under the communication that this will help pushing to resume to known companies in Bangalore. Post buying this there was a communication that there will be a dedicated person assigned to handle my account.

          2.[protected]Shiva)
          He asked me to run through my profile (Resume) and post which he asked me to upgrade to couple of packages with an information that this wouldnt cost thousands of Inr. However the first upgrade came at a price of 5192 Inr. (Education Verfication) which was paid. When asked why this value, Mr Shiva said that he is not aware of pricing and this done by Finance team of Shine.
          Once again there is another upgrade package (Job Profile Verification Plus Package) coming at 9556 Inr which came as a Payment Link.
          Considering the financial situation I have requested for time for the payment. We need to understand that without prior intimation this money is being asked to be payed.
          When asked for time, Mr Shiva has denied and said that the services will not be given.

          Post this I have tried communicating this with Mr Tushar, unfortunately he is not picking calls.

          I highly doubt the services offered by Shine.Com.
          If this was the way in which things were moving then it should have been communicated clearly during the first call.

          I request a refund of my money immediately as this is really fishy. Even Naukri.Com is charging a package of 8000 Inr but they are very much transparent. The reason for opting to Shine was it offered a low cost of services.

          I believe forcing a person to buy services worth 20000 Inr Immediately without any prior intimation is highly non justifiable and when Mr Shiva was asked to share contact of his manager, his response was everyone in Shine.Com talks the same language.

          Couple of questions to Shine.Com:
          1. Why terms and conditions are not communicated to Buyer/Candidate at time of taking any service?
          2. Why details of package is not communicated very clearly to Candidate?

          I sincerely request my money of 3657 Inr+ 5192 Inr be duly returned back as I am not confident of service and see this service as a Money making option.

          I have email transactions for the same. Kindly ensure 8849 Inr is refunded to my account immediately.

            I had clear discussion befor making single payments for above mentioned 3 services

            Now, Shine executive Rajat called me today 28/july/2023 started forcing me to accept wrong service application booster.

            What I will do with application booster as I have not received new resume for domain change, guidance for domain change?

            What about my above mentioned 3 services I paid Rs 8892/-?

              I had clear discussion with shine executive Rishab on call before making payments.
              My requirement was need of new
              resume for domain change, guidance for domain change & job alerts. He said me to pay only Rs 3292/- but I was not having enough money so he said do partial amount so I did on May 3-2023 Rs 1000/- the second part on May 5-2023 Rs 2292/-. After completing this payment he connected me to Rohit and he said I am your relationship manager I will give you new resume for domain change, guidance for domain change and weekly 2 interview leads but for that you have to pay more amount Rs 5000+tax I agreed without any arguments but I was again not having the said amount so I again did payments in part on June 5-2023 Rs 1500/-, and on June 10-2023, Rs 4100/-. I completed the payment of Rs 8892/- I had call to Rishab now Rishab again said you have to do more extra payments at that time I just started feeling unconscious because according to 1st discussion I just need to pay only Rs 3292/- and after saving money hardly I completed the first demand and Shine executives gave me second amount again I hardly paid 5000+tax to save my first amount Rs 3292/- now third amount they are demanding I felt I had done biggest mistake I just took support of wall balancing me from physically falling on floor then I said Rishab that I am going to complaint this type of Service Shine is providing to customer then he said don't complaint we will provide you requirements but now writers are busy you will get call till july 15 2023 I had patiently taken follow up from July 13 2023, july 16 2023 from their I am non stop taking follow up but no use other executives of shine picks up the phone and says they have done Mails to Shine team soon you will get the call after waiting on call when the call gets connected their is new person says they have done Mails you will get the call after lots of attempts on 24 july I had mailed on [protected]@shine.com from the 24th July I am doing follow up on mails till today I have not my service for which I paid Rs 8892/-. & now I am also attaching mails to this complaint site in that you will also find payment details. My requirement is new resume to change domain guidance for domain change & job alerts & I paid hard earned money for the service.

                Hope shine team doing well. Today again a call received by me from Shine team to take service again .
                I deny for that service to take your Shine service . Clearly told to my client managerShobha and Swati.
                I told them, I need my full payment refund as soon as possible
                They deny to refund the amount, already given the response to team why I am not intrested to take your service of Shine . During call and payment to shine my ICICI account is noticed toId did not use a single day service . I already told them that during concall of payment to Shine and fraud call is detected and the payments which were given to Shine team on phone is traced by hacker .
                I request team and bank to block my account which I used during concall with Shine .
                I requested to team to refund my whole amount and I not using your service any and there my account is traced by some one during payment to Shine team .

                My client manager Shobha and Swati both and their team members who already in discussion during the con call when I am searching about service what would be best for me . All deny to refund my amount

                I expect from Shine team that my whole payment will be refunded as possible in this week .

                  I am writing to bring a serious matter of consumer exploitation to your attention, involving my recent experience with Shine.com and their representatives while seeking job assistance services and opportunities for employment abroad.

                  During my interactions with Shine.com representatives, I was promised job assistance abroad upon making an initial payment of 3047/-. Trusting this assurance, I made the payment using my credit card and opted for EMI, with the belief that it would secure the promised services.

                  Subsequently, I was contacted by a representative who informed me about the need for an educational verification step to proceed with overseas job opportunities. This step required an additional payment of 5192/-. Assuming it was a necessary requirement, I made the payment as directed.

                    Dear Indian Consumer Forum,

                    I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning experience I have had with Shine.com and their representatives while seeking job assistance services and opportunities for employment abroad.

                    I was approached by Shine.com representatives who convinced me of their offerings, and I was initially assured that a payment of 3047/- would guarantee job assistance abroad. Relying on this promise, I made the payment using my credit card and opted for EMI.

                    Subsequently, I received communication from a representative, who informed me about a mandatory educational verification step for overseas job opportunities, which required an additional payment of 5192/-. Trusting the credibility of the service, I made the payment as directed.

                    To my dismay, the situation escalated when I was contacted again by another representative, stating that job verification was now necessary, with an additional payment demand of 9556/-. Despite being promised no further hidden charges, I felt compelled to make yet another payment to proceed with the promised job placement.

                    However, the distressing experience did not end there. Recently, I received another call, this time requesting a payment of Rs. 10 as a prerequisite for initiating a refund process. Given the previous instances of deceptive practices and seemingly endless payment demands, I did not pay the requested amount, as I feared it might be another fraudulent attempt to extract money from me.

                    I am posting this complaint to the Indian Consumer Forum to alert other consumers and seek justice for myself and others who might have fallen victim to similar practices by Shine.com. I request a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action against those responsible for these deceptive practices.

                    Moreover, I implore the Indian Consumer Forum to ensure that I receive a full refund for the excessive amounts I have paid under the false pretense of securing job assistance services abroad.

                    I hope that this forum will take my complaint seriously and work towards protecting consumers from such exploitative practices in the future. The transparency and accountability of companies operating in India must be upheld to safeguard the interests of consumers.

                      I opened my account in shine.com and got a call from Shine.com on 15/07/2023 as I was looking for a job.

                      They explained me that I need to pay Rs 3329 for the Application booster program service in which they provide job assistance, profile building and they will appoint a relationship manager that where this whole trap started.

                      After paying Rs 3359.14 I got the call from the relationship manager name Suraj and he told me that I need to pay for one of their services which is Rs 5192 and after doing this payment also he again told me that I need to pay Rs 9556 for another service so when I raised doubts he said that no this is the process that I need to go through to access their premium service and then after this again he asked for Rs 16706 for the service which he didn't explained to me and he told me that I will guaranteed get a job and if didn't pay I will not. He then said that I need to do just this one more payment and that's it nothing is wrong as he is from prestigious company called shine. Then after completing this one more payment he again told me to pay Rs 24779 for the services and at that time I got frustrated by this step by step payment which they didn't explained earlier at the time and when I told that I need a written mail explaining the whole procedure of the payment structure and he denied that he can't give and even his manager is saying the same thing.
                      As I have invested so much money I don't have much option as I want a job so I paid Rs 24779 and that time I asked him very specifically that is this the last time I need to pay and he said yes this is last and when I paid it he again said that I need to pay again Rs 32100 which was not communicated and he said that now he communicates it after payment.

                      And when I confronted him that when I already paid Rs 59562 in total. Is this really acceptable and when I discuss with him about this he told me that then he will not do anything in this case and that my profile will get rejected and not been shortlisted for the companies and he will not do anything and I will be on my own and then I told that I will take whatever necessary action possible to do whatever I can and he told me he don't care.

                      The whole thing is legit as I got proper transaction bill from shine.com which authenticate that it is from shine.com.

                      The whole time they mislead me as they didn't explain me the payment structure and when I said I don't have money they said now you are on you own and you need to pay it otherwise the relationship manager will not look into it. When I asked for refund he told me that there will be no refund as this is company policy.

                      Please I'm seeking for justice as I lost Rs. 59562 as I lost almost all the money in my bank account. I don't have a job and don't know how to survive they took almost all I have and that too a brand like shine.com.

                      I need refund and nothing else now.

                        On 14th July 2023, I updated my profile on Shine.com for jobs. They called me to enroll for resume highlighter/ application booster services and asked me to pay INR 3000, which I paid for. This call was with Chandan. After this, they arranged a call with their relationship manager Shiva who asked for details about my profile and asked me to pay more for education verification, psychometric tests, resume writing services, and jobs on the move services.

                        I have paid a total of INR 35000 for the same. For the last payment, I declined to make any further payments. They are not ready to share my profile/ activate the services. I need a refund for all of these. The website has no proper information about any of these services and payments we would need to make during the process.

                        I have updated my profile multiple times on the portal, but it still keeps showing profile updated one year ago. I need this to be resolved.

                        The customer care team does not reply to any of the emails.

                        I am sharing below the screenshots of all the payments made. I need this case to be resolved asap.

                              Hi Team,

                              Recently I have opted for a premium membership from Shine jobs by paying Rs.3292/- On Friday(07.07.23), I received a call from relationship manager(Sahu - Mobile([protected])) stating some additional services or else the payment I made for the premimum subscription would be waste. The next invoice he shared for Rs.4990/- and after making this payment, he again shared some services with a clause like if I have not pay for this, then previous subscriptions for what I paid will get waste. After lot of frustration, I have again paid for Rs.8907/- but later when I checked, my statement shows for 2 more payments for Rs.12035/- and Rs.11916/- .

                              On Monday(10.07.23), I got a call from other person named Syed([protected]) acknowledging about the services I opted and revealed the truth "Using this paid subscription, just 2 jobs/day will be highlighted on premium(which was not said before I pay for these)" so I lost complete transparency with this big group(Shine.com). Now I decided to cancel this subscription before I take any service from them and dropped a mail stating theses issues but Today(11.07.23), I got the call from Syed that no refund will be performed from their side which is not fair.

                              For the services I have paid when I cross checked with their website, all are quoted low so I understood how they are cheating the people.

                              1. Education verification - I paid(Rs.12, 035) Price available in their website(Rs.1200)
                              2. Employment Verification - I paid(Rs.11, 916) Price available in their website(Rs.1100)
                              3. Application booster - I paid(Rs.3292) Price available in their website(Rs.3099)
                              4. Resume writing - I paid(Rs.8907) Price available in their website(Rs.2199)
                              5. Career Assessment - I paid(Rs.4990) Price available in their website(Rs.1999)

                              If I would have been taken any of these services for atleast one day, I am ready to pay for it on prorated basis but they have completely cheated me on some transactions as well as on services they offered.

                              Kindly help me on this part. I have attached the mail copy as well as the supporting screenshots for your reference.

                                    These guys called me and make me pay for the services I don't need and refusing to refund my money back. This is basically a call centre scam company. Looting money from job seekers. 0% transparency. They will never say the entire service you should be enrolled until you make the previous payment. The cost also increases everytime. And they have audacity to say this is the last payment after every single payment. Big fat liars. 0% trust....
