I am karthi and i have registered on shine.com on 09/04/2017 and on the next day (10/04/2017) i received a call from [protected] and recruiter name is neha and mentioned she viewed my profile through shine. Since she mentioned my details correctly which i mentioned in shine profile, i believed and she told the company which i preferred and the recharger (Neha) asked me to pay the registration fee as rs.1800 through paytm and i also paid that and i received a mail from her through account [protected]@india.com and asked me to pay the training fee as rs. 20000 and the training will be conducted by anupam gupta ([protected]) and also mentioned this is the last payment since the mail came through shine i believed and paid the money. I received another mail to pay for account opening and for security procedure of a amount of rs. 25000 and she told after paying this money only i will receive my job offer letter and told that this amount was refundable so i have paid that also. So more than 1 lakh rupees i have paid and still continously asked me to pay the money at last i told that i will withdraw the process and i need refund but insist me to pay the full money to get the refund, so i have contacted anupam gupta ([protected]) and he also invited me to pay the amount. The recruiter told me that i will get a refund amount of rs. 88000 and i have paid the tax amount for that also. But they didn't returned the money and did not gave me the offer letter and the response was too bad at the last from the recruiter and from anupam gupta, he asked me to pay some amount as a fine to get my offer letter, i totally got fooled, i don't want the job or offer letter, atleast i need the refundable amount. So shine take necessary action. I have the mail from the recruiter.

On 3rd of may around 1pm I got a call from Mr. Atul +[protected] said he is calling from customer care of shine.com regarding my refund & is going to refund me my 12 thousands today & asked for bank details after giving him my bank details he said if he does account deposit there will be some charges which I need to pay first then only he will refund but if I do card to card transfer from an ATM there will be no charges. First of all I was so happy that finally I will get my money back from this fraud people so I didn't think about anything else and trusted him again then after going to the SBI ATM he misguided me so very well by fooling me saying I will get an option on the ATM screen showing get refund & then it will be transferred to my card but in this way he made me big time fool and made me to transfer him another 12 thousands on his card instead of sending me the money. After all these when I asked them why did u do this fraud with me again please refund me all my 24 thousands he then said mam try once more as he knew I have remaining 7 thousands to my account so he could get that also my mis leading me. I refused then to do that again so he asked me then my card number, valid through n cvv number at that time I realized it's totally fraud happening with me And I stopped there & ask him to pay me on my bank he said okay he will do it., after some time he said he can't do that as he need to transfer 30 thousands to my account & for that I need to give him another 6 thousands then only they will refund me 30 thousands which completely proves they are again trying to Loote more money from me. Not only to me they did this to so many innocent people and still now I don't understand why there is no action taken against them., it's not happening in abroad it's within India which is so easy to find them but you guying are just enjoying all these and making people fool. Anywys am going to send you all the relevant transaction reference numbers of my payment of worth Rs. 24 thousands sent to them, please go through them & take some serious action.
Please contact me on [protected]@yahoo.in I have been writing since so many days but no response on top of that you cheated me with 24 thousands within a month.

I am based at Bhopal having address J14, Fortune Estate, Phase-II, Kolar Road, Bhopal-462042. My phone number is [protected]. In October 2016, Your executive has approached me for developing resume etc. A link has been provided to me for payment. I paid Rs. 10000 for developing resume and related services. After few days of paying this amount, I got call from Mr. Maroof (maroof.[protected]@shine.com, [protected]) that he has some urgent openings in Australia and I am completely suitable for it. He told me that I have to pay Rs. 29000 for immigration related formalities. He has made so many calls and convinced me to pay. So, I made payment. But, when I got message on 17/10/2016 that my services started and i read the list of services being provided, I immediately phoned and emailed that i never asked for skill courses and I want refund. Please see attached copy of that mail. Since then, I tried to get refund. Because of that conversation with Mr. Maroof and resulting planning, I took some major career decisions that changed my life.

To make matters worse, against first payment, I never got any job opening information even though I am M.P. Public Service Commission qualified, been Class I Gazetted officer of Government of Madhya Pradesh for more than 20 years, having more than 25 years rich experience in teaching and academic administration in Government and private institutions with Ph.D., M.Tech, B.E. from reputed institutions. Prepared resume was no better than my earlier one.I was charged for three different types of resumes whereas all three were same. covering letter was also not satisfactory. I was charged for profile development in other countries but it was a simple act of posting only my resume on sites. The total package was just money making exercise without any significant contribution.

I am reader of Hindustan Times for 30 years and could not think of such cheating in this group. Please refund my amount as promised.

                          Onorable sir,

                          1. I have received a call from Shine.com (A HT Media company) for getting me job, He was Mr. Dinesh Mishra, They have offered me to purchase an paid service with out providing the details of Service like name of service etc, he convinced that that I need to pay one time charge for senior level jobs and asked me to follow them on their websites, and I paid 4899 from Amex Credit card on date March 25th 2017. Then Call was transferred to Mr. Vivek who tried to force to purchase of one more service of 12999 or in two parts 5999 and then if needed I have to purchase another one, then they kept calling to purchase the service but I strongly refused as I am Jobless and finically not so well, so finally he said the service I purchased will of new use if I do not purchase 12999 and we shine medial will not be responsible if you do not get calls or job from us. It was contrary to the first explanations. I requested that I do not need any service from you and you refund my money, but they kept on forcing me.

2.I received my invoice after next day I found that it has some resume display and feature service, so I immediately chat with agent on shine.com and he provided [protected]@shine.com id for this as he had no idea of what is matter.

                          3. I sent mail and I started receiving call from Munesh, I explained the same thing as for refund but He asked me to talk to Dinesh before proceeding with Refund and cancellation, I received call from Dinesh and I asked him why he cheated and provided wrong information. First he asked me to purchase the new 5999 service but later he changed his views said I cannot help it. Then I received call from Munesh again and I explained the entire discussion and requested him to process with refund. He did not proceed and said we have no refund policy and asked to read the terms and conditions. I said I need the refund.

                          4. I kept on sending request to HT media vivek and dinesh but The refund has not taken place till today. they are only giving excuses.

                          Dear Munesh,

Thanks for finally admitting the fact the other services were proposed to me and but in really it was something else I was billed and provided the invoice. it clearly proves the point of cheating and forced sale.
Secondly you have also refused to have final discussion as suggested after you have been chasing for the same. it also proves and closes the point where you have clearly denied to disapprove. I have not logged in after the day to careerplus website and there is no one called from careerplus or referring careerplus to me. I have shine account and it is old account.

Now I am almost completed with all the documentation to forward to my credit card provider and payment gateway CC avenue for charge back.

                          Regards,
                          Hitesh

                            Hi,
Ever since i posted this complaint, i am getting enough and more calls to help me out in getting the amount back. They represent shine.com and payzippy. They are ready to refund the amount but they need me to pay them a security deposit. Some are asking for Rs.20k as security deposit.
HT media has found it very easy to make money by recruiting fraudsters. As they are losing their integrity, they are more into cheating.
Happy cheating shine.com. i think you should recruit more and more Rithesh kumar's and Saurabh's to make fools out of people.
                            Regards,
                            Sony Sam,

I registered on shine.com for getting job then on 1 April I got call stating that I had been selected for Haldirams ( however the said job post was not listed on the website of shine.com). They said that I have to first pay a sum of Rs. 1500 (refundable) to be able to give the first round which was online test. I was contacted by a person named Raul Sharma whose mobile number is [protected]. I paid the amount in installments of 750 one before the test and the other after the test.

Next day he called me again congratulating that I was selected for the next round and have to give again a sum of Rs. 7500 which I declined to give and asked him to cancel my subscription. He told me to wait for 3-4 days.

I contacted him on 8 April, 2017 so he transferred the call to some one named Aman ([protected]) wo told me that in order to get a refund I have to pay an amount of Rs. 500 otherwise I would get my refund after 3 months.

I wan them to refund my amount as soon as possible and cancel my subscription

Shine.com is keeping customers in the dark and extorting money

I received a call from Mr Mrityunjay Mishra from shine.com about PMP training. When I asked about the course fees, he sent a mail saying that the course fees is 12999, and after discount, it would be Rs 11700(screenshot of mail attached). He offered me additional discount of RS 500 and I paid Rs 11200. After the payment of Rs 11200, I got a call from Mr Himanshu for Registration and payment of additional Rs 12000. When I asked why this was not informed beforehand, he said it is assumed everyone is aware of this cost. I told him it was not possible to pay this amount, so cancel my registration and refund the 11200 in my account. He said it was not possible to get the money refunded and I have to pay the amount.

Now when I am checking, I see many similar complaints against them. They keep students in dark and ask for additional money. My email ID is suvro.[protected]@gmail.com and the transaction ID is CP[protected](screenshot attached)
