I had registered to shine.com a week ago. I was looking for efficient jobs and I came across shine.com and thought it was a better platform to seek jobs. But I've been only receiving calls from fake recruiters and scammers. They come forward asking for our credit card details and other sensitive information. And I'm worried that they are misusing my data. It doesn't seem to be the right platform for job seekers like us. It gathers all our personal details, this allows the scammers to get direct access to all our personal details. Shine.com doesn't provide an account deletion option as well. In this way, we are not able to remove our personal details from their platform. Please take the necessary actions.

Many unethical people take advantage of the brand and run scams/frauds misrepresenting Shine. We have been receiving such complaints from some customers/general public who have become victims of such fraudulent and cheating activities at the hands of many criminal elements.

Like, these days a lot of fake recruiters are calling the candidates using the name of reputed job portals and extract heavy money from them. Shine.com is not responsible for and expressly disclaims all liability for any such communication via email, SMS or phone call by a frivolous source claiming to have got the contact details of the concerned person through or representing Shine.com.Therefore jobs seekers are advised not to indulge in any monetary engagement with such sources in the name of guaranteed interviews with employers or refund as we do not have any refund policy https://learning.shine.com/tnc.     I got a call from Umesh (+[protected] a few days ago. He spoke about a new service from Shine.com worth rs 3600 something. He said "we will assign you a relationship manager" and your chances of getting a better job will improve.

    Little did I know that I will then be connected to Jatin Rana[protected] who used agressive langauge and lured me into purchasing additional services worth 16k approx.

      Hi

      I received a call from shine.com on 08-May-2021 around 10:20 AM from telephone number [protected] for the paid job assistance services.

      I was told by Mr.Anup (from Shine.com) that I need to pay just 3027 Rs which is a one-time payment. After payment, one relationship manager Mr.Pande will be assigned to me who will help me in arranging interviews as per my profile.

      On 08-May-2021 at 10:53 AM I received a call from Mr. Pande (Who is the relationship manager) from number [protected]. And he now started telling me to do further payment of 7787 Rs.

      After paying 7787 Rs, he further asked me to pay 12, 979 rs in order to actually start the job assistance service. I pay 3000 rs.

      This is a total fraud. When I asked for a refund, they said the amount is not refundable. I want my refund of Rs 3027 + 7787+3000 = 13814

      These people from shine.com are not giving complete information, in the beginning, it self and one by one they opening their cards to ask for money from job seekers.

      Shine.com you are just taking advantage of job seekers who really need a job in the pandemic by looting their money.

        They call for paid service when you pay 3000/-

        Then they call to discuss for resume which is nothing but telling you too pay 10000/-

        When you are not convinced to pay any further they say you wont get any service if you dont pay 10000/- and 3000/- is nonrefundable

        IT IS TERRIBLE THING YOU ARE DOING IN THIS PANDEMIC LOOTING PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF JOB, SHAME ON THE COMPANY

          Everyone, few days back a person from shine.com reached out to me regarding the job opportunities and told me I need to register n made me pay 3500 and later she connected the call to another person(Swaroop) and he said I need to highlight my profile and made me pay 9500 and later he said this is for ur overall and made me pay another 10k n then he says there is a final u need to pay 20k for that... When I asked him y didn't u say those before he insists that he told me already ...they made me pay a total of 23k. And now when I ask for refund they won't pickup their call nor reply the texts.
          Please help me on how can I receive my money back.

          Guys, a guy named Mukesh reached out to me regarding my refund and says I need to pay cancellation charges of 3000 to get my refund ...I asked him to deduct it from the money I paid and send me the rest but he says it is a company policy etc ... please help me on how I can recover my money

            Shine Learning.com have called me using shine.com name and they guaranteed interview call if I pay Rs.3670/- and paid that amount and later one more executive called and said If I pay Rs. 9911/- they will be building my resume as per market standard and along with background verification. again I paid Rs.9911/- later one more email I received asking for 14, 158/- for experience verification. later they told me if you dont pay 14, 518/- they are not assuring any interview calls.

            very immediately I have request to cancel my order and refund my money (Rs. 3, 670 + Rs.9911 = Rs13, 581/-) they denied to refund the amount.

            I would request to help me to get the money back.

              Getting calls and mails form stating that they were calling from sine accounts department and we are ready to initiate the payment but for cancellation, our Order and the services there would be some cancellation charges. So once you made the payment we will refund the amount immediately along with existing payments of orders as well.

                  I received a call from shine.com on 05-May-2021 around 2 PM from telephone number [protected] for the paid job assistance services.

                  I was told by Mr. Viswas Singh (from Shine.com) that I need to pay just 3657 Rs which is a one-time payment. After payment, one relationship manager will be assigned to me who will help me in arranging interviews as per my profile.

                  On 06-May-2021 at 9:47 AM I received a call from Mr. Gaurav (Who is the relationship manager) from number [protected]. And he now started telling me to do further payment of 5893 Rs.

                  After paying 5893 Rs, he further asked me to pay 12, 000 rs in order to actually start the job assistance service.

                  This is a total fraud. When I asked for a refund, they said the amount is not refundable. I want my refund of Rs 3657 + 5893 = 9550

                  These people from shine.com are not giving complete information, in the beginning, it self and one by one they opening their cards to ask for money from job seekers.

                  Shine.com you are just taking advantage of job seekers who really need a job in the pandemic by looting their money.

                    I paid for premium service. Later I received a call from one of your agent and he said that for better opportunity they want to verify my profile, education certificates, job profile and for career assessment, which are premium service so I paid the amount later he again asked me to move my profile for getting more job opportunities he said it as premium service and then he said if I don't proceed further I won't get opportunity, So I fed up of all these payments I want to cancel all my payment and service I am paid and refund my amount. At the time of payment I ask time to think but he made me hurry to pay without time to think.

                      I have received calls from the below HRs from Shine
                      The HR name nd nmubers are as below
                      HR Sakshi[protected]
                      HR Mayra[protected]
                      HR Aarav Sharma[protected]
                      They said I have to pay Rs 45 for a job in bank and told me to log in to site shinenaukri.in
                      In this site, I updated bank details and now they have deducted 4000 from my account.
                      I asked them to pay back and they said log in the site and asked me for OTP!!!
                      Is this how the refund is processed
                      Please be aware of these 3 HRs as I really doubt if this Shine really is a reliable website.
                      I have still not received my money. This website is fraud!!!
                      Do not go for any of these sites or pay them
                      They all are thirst of money! I have attached proof.
                      HR Mayra asked me to send the proof of message also to check how much is deducted to refund. But I am sure they wanted to deduct more! I WANT ME MONEY BACK AS ITS EARNED FROM HARD WORK. HOW FAR WILL YOU GUYS GO BY ROBBING MONEY FROM EMPLOYEES BANK ACCOUNT. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND YOU GUYS NEED TO BE IN PRISON. I CANT EVEN ATTACH THE FRAUD TRANSACYION SCREEN SHOTS. HOW WELL YOU GUYS HAVE CREATED THIS SITE I wonder!!!                         After my complaint, not even a single call from Shine to address my complaint. It shows that you are not interested to compensate or resolve my inquiries. I had paid for 1st order is about booster and CV & Cover Letter draft it is month completed till data not addressed it shows that your professionalism.you know after my complaint I getting calls form persons who all loosed their money in the name of shine.

                          Subject- Lets unshine shine.com!

                          Part 1

                          I will start from the beginning. I got a call from your organisation asking about my account on shine.com and pushing for a paid subscription of Rs3503. The guy pursued me into taking up the paid subscription by promising a lot of things such as a dedicated relationship manager finding jobs on my behalf and what not. He sounded as genuine as one can be. I took the subscription after a lot of follow up by him and I thought that it was the right decision. He told me that now my relationship manager will connect with me who will help me in finding better opportunities. I was happy that my woes will wrap up fast now

                          Part 2

                          A relationship manager named ROHIT called and after a few vague questions he pitched another product and coerced me to pay another 5728 bucks, telling me that without it he will not be able to help me. Once i paid the amount and thought probably now i will be able to get some benefits, he asked for another payment of 11021 bucks telling me that i have to co-operate else everything done till now will not yield desired results. In between I was told to put a mail also to speed up my services(I am sure to make the client believe that work is going on my profile) I thought may be this is the end hence i paid however to my surprise he sent another proforma invoice of 18349 bucks pressuring me to pay and how it is going to be life changing. At this point in time i was asking repeatedly that i hope this is the last payment to which he responded positively saying that ABSOLUTELY and i made the payment My patience gave up when he again asked for a payment of 25688 bucks which i was told would absolutely be the last payment since i wanted to get over with it. I gave up when i was asked for another payment of Rs.30000.

                          I immediately sensed forgery and asked them to reverse but was refused i then called my banker to reverse the transactions but wasn't possible. I was trembling with the disappointment and loss that i suffered due to coercive action of your team member.

                          PS- (a)The callers kept changing themselves and on asking i was told 'my voice changed due to removing of mask'- REALLY!- that was the first signal.
                          (b) Everytime I was told that this is the last payment, then on asking they were just twisting the words.
                          ( c) Even on payment of Rs.65000 was threatened that I wont be benefitted at all since my package was not complete I was asked to pay another 30000 bucks. GOSH!!
                          (d) On refusal the staff was rude- as if I am begging for services: 65k were apparently less for them- continually I was pitched rather forced to pay another 30k which I was adamant not to pay.
                          ( e) I got another call in the evening selling me another 30K and on refusal I was given discount of 50%- which I refused plainly!
                          (f) The relationship manager- Jitender this time called me again in the morning offering another discount and asking me to pay 4800(imagine in less than 24 hours 30k services were offered at 4800)… how lucky I was to get this discount!
                          (g) The system must be transparent- clients shall be informed about the costing at the day one only- while taking the basic membership only- the strategy was A, B, C, D, E- all upwards. It’s a trap!! Nobody does it!! I have had a paid membership of IIMjobs, Naukri, LinkedIn. Rather these people have transparent refund policies also. Such strategies cannot be successful in the long run.
                          (h) On complaint the staff tells me ‘’khana order karne ke baad aap khao ya feko- humari taraf se’’- very rude staff.

                          Part 3

                          Since your team member did everything with the speed of blitzkrieg, your callers are super trained to fool people i could not notice the kind of dog-[censored] subscription services he has charged me for and i was utterly disappointed after seeing what i have fallen into. All in all Rs.64200 bucks for resume writing and profile highlighting plus some stupid verification and watsapp notification which are of no use to me.

                          Part 4

                          Good thing is that i record every call that comes to me and it will be catastrophic for your brand if i put them on social media. I am of the notion that many times the leadership is unknown of the tactics ground teams play hence i write to you in good faith hoping that you will help me out here with the refunds as i no more have confidence on shine.com and probably will do better of my own in job search. I have not availed a single paid service hence it should not be difficult.
                          There is a difference between legitimate sales and traps!! Expect more from HT Group, specially in today’s difficult times.

                              I had taken the membership of Shine.com, within one day I got a call from the caller and he tricked me to pay more than Rs.64000 on false promises. I instantly argued and asked for a refund but was refused(i have all the evidence- it was a recorded line). I demand a full refund as I do not want to avail any services from such FRAUDS! Also, I intend to put PIL against them- so that they will not have any more innocent preys. I will also be displaying the same on social media. TOTAL FRAUDS!! NOT be letting them go!! In such difficult times they are fooling people! Crooks! Other websites offer money refund even on dissatisfaction!! do not fall for their traps.. internet is filled with their complaints.

                                This a fraudulent cheating and looting organisation under the banner of HTMEDIA

                                I was asked to deposit an amount of rs.3292 in the first instance then repeatedly one after another amount were informed to me and every time it was informed that if i don't deposit the amount than the services could not be started, it went on for 4 times again the fifth time it was informed to me to deposit rs. 27700, then strongly i denied to deposit the amount. There were several calls from one mr. Suraj and i have all the call logs...

                                I am another victim of their fraud and want the refund too. They have been calling me for swapping the services for sth better but i am looking for refund. They will not do it unless we take them to social media and involve directly to higher management (that's what lead to the swapping option on the first place).

                                  Thankfully I have recorded the complete conversation.
                                  I want full refund of my hard earned money since I have not availed any of their services! I feel cheated and ready to go to any extent to get my money back!

                                  Other job portals like iimjobs offer full refund even on client dissatisfaction within 14 to 21 days. Dissatisfaction is secondary I do not wish to avail any of your services. I had paid the services on 21/04/21

                                  They will not refund unless we are making an impact on social media with a strategy. I was lead to a fraud too for 32k and asking for the refund. I went on a social media (twitter and Linkedin) tagging CEO's of shine and HT, it made and impact that lead me to receiving a consumer service call directly from HT. What they were offering was swapping of the services with other packages and this way they will make it a legit sale (which was not).

                                  I'll ask you to take this to another level and speak about it on social media as i did.

                                      I have paid ₹1750 for attending a telephonic interview and after paying they again ask for ₹4000, so I decided not to go further. They have assured to refund my amount, but they are not responding to my call and keep their phone switched off.. I have the complete recordings of their phone call and Bank transactions.. If I didn't get my refund I will definitely move legally
