Date of the Incident - March 19, 2021 Contact details of the person - Jatin Rana ([protected]) shine's relationship Manager. Got a call for better help with the recruitment process from one of the member of shine on march 18, 2021. I liked the way she expalined and i subscribed for services on March 18, 2021 by paying 2004/- rs for professional services and been promised that i will get a call from relationship manager tomorrow for the understanding your profile and then SCHEDULING THE INTERVIEWS WITH BIG COMPANIES USING HINDUSTAND TIMES REFERENCE. So i got the call from a guy named Jatin Rana (Still active on whatsapp) and he started listening to me and asked about the experience n all and then started promising me the big names for lining up the interviews and assisting me all the way to interviews with big references from Hindustan times. As the call goes on he started asking me to get the additional paid services then only he would be able to schedule the interviews and help me out fully so the process goes on and i ended up paying 32090/- in total and stopped when another service for 25k came up. He said take this n i will help you else i cant. n there i stopped... i have dropped mail to Cybercrime UP and Delhi, Sent msgs over linkedin to CEO of shine and HT media. I even asked the client servicing team to not call me as i am not willing to take up with the services. I am looking for refund. Please let me know if sth can be done. Thank you for sharing your experience Kartik! I came across the exact same experience where the manipulated me into paying up for multiple services without actually starting off my application so that I can understand the credibility of their services. There is no transparency, each time they said I won’t have to pay further and then another invoice would come up of a higher amount. They also force you by lying to you that if the additional services aren’t bought they won’t move ahead with the application. When I finally lost my cool and yelled that’s when they backed down and said that they do not have a refund policy and that they will go ahead with the services I purchased because I threatened to take legal action. Mentally harassed me to a point where I couldn’t take it anymore and the call was transferred over multiple times. I spoke to Aman, Jatin, Shivam, and Rohit. Jatin was the worst in terms of his behaviour and treatment. Shine careers should be embarrassed and so should Hindustan times for backing an initiative that loots innocent people and plays on their vulnerabilities to loot and fraudulently earn profits.
