WES is the leading international credential evaluation service in North America. WES offers individuals and institutions a range of services that enables those educated outside the U.S. to have their academic credentials recognized and understood.
Academic Institutions, Licensing Boards, and Employers rely on WES reports when assessing internationally-educated candidates. Recipients of WES reports count on WES for accurate and reliable evaluation reports, which are always based on authentic documents, as well as for its comprehensive and current online tools and research.

So, I'm surprised that some o[censored]s are surprised that SMU is not recognized by WES.
Every and any institutions not recognized by WES is solely based on their extensive research and evaluation on the quality and standard of education provided by these said institutions/universities. No country govt. have a say in their decision as its non political. WES has its own set of rules and standards, and surpass most that are set by most govts. In fact, most govts. support the mission, vision, objectives and actions of WES.
If WES recognized all UGC approved universities but SMU, that itself is self explanatory!
In other words, it's crystal clear that SMU is The Worst educational set-up/institutions amongst all the UGC recognized universities, period! Govt. interference is not going to do good in regards to WES decison about SMU. It might be easier to petition to the HRD to BLACKLIST/STOP SMU-DE than to revoke WES decision. In any case, why would WES deviate from their own globally respected standards of evaluations (education) just to recognized this so call SMU-DE!!!
P.S. I am one of the victims of this SMU-DE. Lesson learnt but hard way :(
