This mail is in reference to my complaint number 681762 submitted on 6th January 2017 in regards to a multi stitch sewing machine purchased from SINGLA, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack Odisha on 31st December 2015 (Bill No.355).
The issue pertains to the fraudulent and misleading sale done by SINGLA, Cuttack on 31st December. The machine sold is either a second hand repaired one or a completely defective piece as several internal parts are thoroughly damaged and joined using glue, which has been noticed and reported by SINGER TECHNICIAN upon complaint. The technician performed a complete body removal and check of the machine during the recent complaint lodged between 1st Week of January 2017. The same report has been recorded during telephonic conversation between SINGER, customer (me) and the technician.Even, for evidence I have made a video-recording of the technician's report and CONCERN raised when checking the machine. The Technician firmly mentions that the parts being glued and falsely held-together cannot be accessed by the customer and thus sounds of a foul play by the dealer or a defective product being supplied by the manufacturer (SINGER India).
During a year of purchasing the machine more than 4 complaints have been raised by the consumer and upon many requests to the service provider, i.e. SINGER India they used to attend to the complaint.The reluctance in attending to the complaint, delay since the day of complaint and the inability to rectify the problem in machine raises question about INTENTIONAL AND WILLFUL INVOLVEMENT OF SINGER INDIA. For reference, the last request lodged was attend after 5 days with an excuse that the mail was not received by the company. This is completely false, as the company responded to the mail upon completion of the SO-CALLED SERVICING. ( mail evidence is present with the consumer).
Further, the bill given by SINGLA Cuttack (the dealer) no where mentions the serial number of the product and SINGER India even has no record of any SERIAL NUMBER OF PRODUCT SOLD BY THEIR DEALER. This is extremely unconvincing because to render warranty covered services a serial number of the product is the only and best evidence to know that the bill refers to that product and not any other.A copy of the bill is attached herewith.
Recently, when I raised this issue with Ms. Ritu Malik (Singer India), she largely ignored it and upon listening to the concerns from their own technician she, agreed to the fault.however, it still seems that there is an ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF SINGER INDIA in contemplating and managing such fraudulent sales.
Finally, with all these concerns and videographic and documentary evidence, I would like to take this matter to the consumer form and Consumer grievance redressal system (CCed here) and continue my honest and sincere efforts till consumer concerns are addressed and the broken/damaged piece is REPLACED.
With this mail, I am to know why:
1. SINGER INDIA instead of taking the matter seriously and promptly is playing BLAME game and asking the consumer to contact the dealer. The matter should be actively taken up by the Service provider and effective solution looked for, if COMPANY FEELS THERE IS NO INVOLVEMENT IN THIS FRAUDULENT sells and purchase by Cuttack based dealer.
2.SINGLA, CUTTACK India should not be taken into action for making this cheat and fraud sell and issuing bills which has no product identification and largely seems to be intentional deception of the customer.
3. SINGLA, Cuttack Odisha and SINGER India be not taken into proper consumer redressal forum for such fraudulent activity and if any other such sells are being continuously done.
A reply within 2-3 working days is expected considering the serious nature of the complaint and effective resolution no longer than a week's time is expected. Any consumer who pays the required amount and makes a legal purchase, has the rights to ask for an considerate and honest redressal of his grievance and no way the service provider can mislead the consumers by selling damaged products.
