[Resolved]  Snapdeal.com — fake call on the behalf of snapdeal regarding winning prize

I have ordered for nike sports shoes. I haven't received the shoes till date. However, today i received a message from imsnpdll informing me that i have won first prize of tata safari worth rs 12, 80, 000/- in lucky draw. Thereafter i received a call from [protected] stating the same and had asked me to call back on the customer helpline number provided in the message. When i rung up that number, the person told me that he is speaking from customer care snapdeal. On my asking his name he told me that his name is ranjan. He then conveyed the same story to me and then told me to ring up the number that i got the call from. I was also told to either choose to get the car or payment from the company and that i have to make the payment for registeration of the vehicle in eiother case. I was forwarded the sbi account no [protected] of mr pintu paswan ifsc - sbin 0002921 in which i would have to deliver rs 12, 800/- to claim my prize.
I know its all fake but the bigger question to snapdeal is that how have these people come to know that i have placed an order with the company? Is the site then safe to make payments where my account details are also there? Can the company trace these people and let the customers know, else i am not sure if i would place any order with snapdeal again.. I have also read similar complaints from other customers on the page.
