K530i — Mobile does not starts up

My mobile phone hanged and did not startup. As per investigation by Service center personnel, its mother borad has problem and repair will take 15 days.

Since this is no fault of the customer, I dont think its fair for me to suffer for a manufacturing defect and its a big impact on day to day work & life to manage without a phone. Kindly make alternate arrangements asap. The complaint ID is 211862.

sony ericsson k580i — stollen of mobile

I maya shenvi, my sonyericsson mobile had be stollen from my home, my model no is K580i, my mobile no is [protected]. so please help me out, what to do now.

My K850i recently went faulty i.e. touch screen would not allow the keylock to be turned off and I could not operate it. I had to send it back to vodafone for repair. So I backed up the contacts to my PC before I sent it back. When I received it back I restored the phone no problem. Then the handset crashed completely. I was then issued with a replacement handset and tried to restore it using the backup. Oh no that is not possible as I have recently found out. Contrary to the PC suite software which states " Continuously backup your phone content and restore it in case of damage or loss" which is totally incorrect. If you back up from one handset it will not restore to another handset of the same model which is as useful as a chocolate teapot. Which leaves me with all the contacts that were stored in the phone (not on SIM card) have been lost although stored on my PC and are not accessible. Apparently the only way to enable this to be done is to synchronise the phone and PC so I am told. What a crock of S**t, very poor show Sony Ericsson.

SONY Mobile K530i — New Mobile Failed - Bangalore

Dear Sony,

I have been an ardent fan of Sony and on last count I had seven ten Sony gadgets at home including a 32" LCD TV. So I think I deserve to be heard.

Here is my complaint - I bought your new mobile K530i in June 08 which I had to take for repair in August 9th due to sudden death of the mobile. It will not start up. The service center confirmed that the mother board had failed. After much delay of 45 days I got back the phone on Oct 22nd 08. Now the phone has to be restarted 3/4 times a day by removing the battery. Essentially the phone has lost the reliability element. I called up the India helpline for replacement. They are advising me to go back to service center for repair. I don't see point in going back since this is happening after the mother board replacement and I request for a replacement of the phone at the earliest possible.

Hi Friends, My English is not good, so excuse me.

I was travelling by bus no . 424 on 20/9/09 and it was over crowded after Juhu galli's bus stop. I was standing nearby the conductor's seat. I got a way to go ahead, so I went and stand nearby the seat next to ladys seat. At JB Nagar I saw 4 people getting into the bus. These people went very fast(as if they want to get down) and stood nearby ladys seat. I work in Marol Naka, so I was getting down at the stop. The time when I passed through the way nearby ladys seat and went nearby driver's seat to get down at stop. I realized something is wrong and I checked my Jeans Pocket and the mobile was lost, so I screamed Bull mera mobile chori ho gaya hain. I shouted at driver and told him to stop the bus. Driver stopped the bus and I was looking for my mobile. The other traveller's told the driver to drive as they want to reach to their destination on time. I told the driver to drive the bus. Everybody asked my cell number. and they all were trying to call. The phone rang and no one received. They said its ringing. Some of the people told me to stand at the front side of the bus(exit door) and check the pocket of the people. I did the same. The second time phone ring up and the people was able to hear my voice, as i was answering others, telling other's how the cell was lost. I convinced them to call it once again, and then i was able to hear the ringing sound of my phone. I checked the four front seat including the ladies seat and found it under a ladys feet. I got my cell and was very happy.

Some one tried to rob it, and within a flick of second it was gone. I dont know who did it. Unfortunately I dont know who is the rober. But luckily I got it. I thanked god and gave many thanks to almighty.

Sony Erickson W580i — Sony Ericsson W580i is showing 'insert SIM Card' Message

I bought a Sony Erickson W580i one month ago after some days it is began to show a message frequently to Insert Sim Card, but the Sim card is already inserted, the phone will not work after this.
Then i have to open the phone and re insert the Sim card once again to start working the phone.
This is happening two or three times in day and i have to open the phone each times.

I think the frequent opening of the phone will create some problems to the phone.
Rest of the working features are Ok in the phone and i liked it very much.
Please give a clarification to this query as soon as possible.

I had purchased a Sony Ericsson T715 on 29/04/2010. My mobile's charger, hands-free and data cable never seemed to work correctly unless I hold the mobile in hand and sit with the charger and mobile while the mobile was charging. I gave my mobile for service, they told it will take 1 week to get it repaired.
I was disappointed at that point itself. But, the story continues.............

After 1 week I called them, they spoke so rude and they redirected me to Sony Ericsson customer care. They were even rude that I couldn't speak to them only. The guy who spoke with me gave 1 complaint number and hung up on me. He told it'll take another week or 2.........

Though my mobile was under warranty, I had to spend money to purchase another mobile as the service center people didn't give me any stand-by as well........

Recently i have purchased Sony Ericson mini pro Xperia. I am From Panipat (Haryana). I visited the sony ercisson service centre at Panipat for following

1. Sound problem
2. to get the information abt how to connect the mini pro experia to PC for internet.

abt the second point they people told me we dont know antthing abt this and it can not be connected to computer for internet as this phone cant act as modem.

for point no 1, they refused to take my phone and simply said sound is ok, we cant do much. after that i told them that i want to talk to cutomer care. they dialed some number when i talked to customer care, that fellow cut my phone without hearing me.

it was so bad experience with sony service centre and sony customer care. they deal their customer so badly. service centre people dont have any update information abt their product. it was my mistake that i believed sony product are the best in the market. but they provide so bad services.

Yes my complaint has been resolved now. The summary of the whole story is :

After inspecting the LCD, I got a call from Sony India & he told me that the LCD needs to be taken to a service centre & its a panel issue. I asked the person as t why the LCD failed & he calmly said that its an electronic thing & we cannot pin point the exact reason - voltage spikes or something. I was adamant to get the LCD replaced, but the guy simply refused to do that. I found him quite rude at this stage. I kept on pressing him but he didnt budge at all. After this i was finally fed up & I agreed o get my panel replaced. But then came another shocker.. there will not be any new warranty on the new part installed. !! I was just surprised. I said its quite obvious that any new part should have an extended warranty of atleast one year. To this Sony technician replied, that the warranty will not be extended it will remain the same .. ie one year from the date of purchase of the LCD.

I totally lost my cool after this. I told him its unethical on part of Sony to do this. But that guy became rude & had a "total not interested attitude". His replies were full of even more sarcasm. "You have used the LCD for 4 months ", "its not a company policy to extend warranty" .."its a n electronic part .. any electronic part can fail ", "i will not give you any numbers or email ids" etc etc. I simply asked him to give me his boss's number or email id, to which he simply refused. Finally I kept the phone down saying .." i dont want to get the LCD repaired".

That evening was really tense one for me. In front of my eyes were my hard earned money gone down the drain ... and i just cudnt believe that Sony India could be so ignorant to a customer. I had so high regards for Sony and its products !! Then i just googled the email id of Sony MD & sent a mail describing all that had happened.

The next day, another person from Sony called me up. He was very polite and courteous. The next 3 days just saw a different level of customer service experience. They extended the warranty & took the LCD & and returned back in flat 2 days time. During this, they kept me informed on the progress. and kept calling me almost twice a day. I was impressed. My faith was regained. Also eventually, it was found at the service center that the panel was perfectly okay & it was a motherboard that had gone faulty. They changed it & rite now the LCD is back with me & is working perfectly fine.

I have also received a letter from Sony India on the extended warranty of the faulty part.

Right now I am happy, but i just pray that Sony India gives this level of customer service to every customer . They should not have been so unrealistic & ignorant to a customer's shock & despair. Nevertheless, I am happy to see things mended by Sony. I like SONY products & hope to remain like that.
