I have had a very bad experience with sotc thane branch, maharashtra today where we have not been given clear information about the additional charges that we need to pay for our travel to singapore while using credit card.
We were told to make a part payment at the initial phase of booking and the remaining within 30 days by vasundhara in the office. We did payment for 30000 inr via credit card without any charges.
While doing the remaining payment of 1lakh we were told that if we pay via credit card we will have to pay 2.2% additional charges on that amount. This wasn't conveyed to us at the time of initial payment else we would have done the entire payment that time itself and we would nit be changed extra.
This is very wrong on part of the employee and sotc to not convey details clearly and put us in a situation where we had to do ccheque payment.
In the country where mr. Modi is talking about going cashless if these companies start charging us 2.2% additional on going cashless then what is the government doing with the rules and policy for these companies.
We were also told that we would have to pay lesser a little later as the dollar value will go down and hence did not do full payment then. The dollar rate for singapore increased instead of decreasing and i had to pay 6000 inr extra. Had she told us that it could increase as well we would have done full payment then
All these things look like a very bad trick on consumers when the established firms like sotc does the same.
I would really want the regional officer for sotc, thane to take this up and give us the renumeration for all the unclear charges that we had to bear.
