In the past 54 months of my stay in Hyderabad I have been paying the electricity bill well on time as past payment records will show. However, TSSPDCL does not appear to have any ECS facility or even a timely SMS reminder system and therefore, on a few occasions I have missed paying the power bill - online, as I usually pay - within due date. This has probably happened 3-4 times.

On each instance, TSSPDCL have deputed someone - probably a lineman or a meter reader - to my premises and have simply disconnected power by switching off the mains from the meter area. On each occasion our caretaker has come to our floor to inform us of this action and - this is the SHOCKING part - every such instance has been WITHIN 3-7 DAYS OF THE DUE DATE OF PAYMENT OF BILL.

I am not aware if this happens in any state and whether it is legal to disconnect the power without any warning. I feel this is malpractice and abuse of power and should be seriously looked into.

I would like know if any intimations to be made before disconnection of electricity for any due connections if not it would be an illegal act I guess. Such complaints are increasing day by day and ERC to look into this matter very seriously to provide guide lines to customers on payment date and fine criteria/disconnection criteria. No where in INdia such un intimated disconnections happen and this can be ternmed as rowdy act indeed.
I have faced same problem today. My consumer number is:[protected].
Its 6 days past due date and I have been asked to pay bill in cash when they visited home. When I said I will do it online as I do not have 2500 cash due to cash shortage, they disconnected and left. I told them I will pay online and have never defaulted, they still did it to us. They said they have to meet their monthly targets. I have paid the amount online immediately and hope to see them show mercy on a small family with kids during this hot summer. But this cruelty.
It happens in my house today feeling bad of the process/ services we have today. Electricity was disconnected within a short notice of 30 mins as the bill was due for 10 days. Too rude of people and they think of hero's by getting it disconnected. Tsspdcl can levy penalty if not paid with in due date instead of disconnection. Hope this gets answered soon
It's happened to me. Just bill due for 6 days, without intimate they have disconnected my connection. I don't understand what is this? if delay they can claim penalty from us, but how they can disconnect the connection. Really it's ridiculous////please TSSPDCL CAN LOOK INTO THESE ISSUES

      Myself Saketh Reddy from Hyderabad. I was just confused about Eenaadu edition questioning me that am I staying in Telangana State or Andhra Pradesh State, as Eenaadu is maintaining 3 seperate editions for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Greater Hyderabad. But I didn't found the difference in news, as Eenadu News are common for 3 edition more than 60% news are about Andhra Pradesh. I hope Telangana Subscribers did not need AP news and they were not much important. Todays paper (21st July 2015) cover about 60% AP news, 30 % Telangana News and Rest National and International news. There were many news to cover in Telangana where Eenaadu cannot found. Sir If Eenaadu is not in a position to cover the Telangana News then Stop Publishing in our State and please Don't kill us by AP News... If your completely in favour with AP then just publish only in AP.       I am resident of Manjeera diamond towers, gopanpally, today I.e. 30-31 March 2016 whole night electricity power was not there in our area. Called at 1912, several times. They are saying it will come by 1/2 hour when ever I called. It is almost 6 hrs there is no power. Could you please take action on this issue.

        I had accidentally paid Electricity bill two times in June month. One with PayUMoney and other with HDFC Bank. I contacted PayUMoney but they said extra amount paid will be adjusted in July Month bill. But this month I got bill Rs 330, extra amount Rs 1445.00 I paid in last month is not adjusted in this month bill. I have sent 15 emails to TSSPDCL but no reply. Could you please correct my bill and adjust the extra amount amount I paid? . Attached PAYTM receipt and HDFC Netbanking receipt.

For the last two months, we have received the bill of Rs.177.00 and Rs.600.00. The consumption is same for the last month also but the amount is more. Please check and confirm if the billing has been done properly or not. No one will be staying at the house in the morning hours and there is no electronic gadgets. Please check and clarify why the units is 395.

            Hi, Iam a resident in moula-Ali Lakshmi Nagar. My house is near to an electric pole. Due to tree branches the high tension wires which supply power are getting disturbed and are creating sparks. Recently it has produced many sparks with heavy sounds which is making scared. Due to this people are scared to walk in that street. I had complained to electricity department many a Times. They answered me saying that they will send some electricians. As expected no one came. Some times they kept the phone receiver aside. Due to their negligence we can't say what all can happen. For monthly electricity bills they will come on correct time and date. When we are placing any complaints in their service, they stopped responding. This is the development of telangana govt. in the capital city. I hope u ppl will pass this complaint on paper or to the electricity department. Please do take some action regarding trees which are near by electric wires and poles. Tsspdcl please act responsible. Thank you

                      Dear Sir / Madam, Recently constructed house and nobody residing till date. Still it is empty. My electricity Meter got burned on 19th April 2015. Bill i received of Rs. 499. I paid same amount as suggested by TSSPDCL executive stated if you will receive again more billing, please submit a complaint. This month I received a bill of May month of Rs. 224.                         I, Colonel Ramesh Babu Ch is serving in the Indian Army. I have a house jointly registered with my wife Chirumamilla Nagaraja Kumari in Sri Apartment, (Flat No 201, Sri Apartment, Srinivasa Colony (West), Vengal Rao Nagar, Hyderabad 530038. The Electricity Bill is on my wife's name. The Connection Service No is S2002282 (Unique Service No[protected] and ERO No is 11.
                        2. I had not occupied the house since last two years as I was posted in away from Hyderabad and the house is also not rented. The was locked and there was no consumption of power except in June 2014 and July 2014 when my family stayed during leave.
                        3. However on checking the Bill History on line to my horror, I found that the connection has been disconnected for reasons not known. I had been paying the bill amount in advance, yet I find Rs -2129/-, same not understood why it is showing a negative amount (due amount).
                        4. The details of billing amount in the Billing History and the amount paid by me during 2014 and 2015 is given in the table given below:-

                        5. It is not understood why the electricity connection was disconnected when I have credit with your company. The monthly consumption pattern is also clearly evident from the meter reading as on date.
                        6. It is also submitted that my house was given on rent during 2010-11 and since 2012 it was not occupied, yet I had been billed at commercial tariff rates which is not in order. Your employee who goes for monthly meter reading must be aware of the fact that the house was locked and unoccupied since long.
                        6. In view of the above may I request you to restore the connection and change the connection from Commercial to Domestic Tariffs as the house is not rented and also not occupied.
                        I will be grateful if you can instruct your concerned staff to take the necessary action as requested above.

                          I paid electricity bill using billdesk online payment on 12/02/2015 for SC number [protected]**3. Money got deducted from bank and credited to apspdcl. After a month i went to APonline and paid electricity bill and the next month when i go to aponline they said you have not paid bill(which should be paid on February) and pay the bill with extra fee. So i called SBI and BillDesk. They both said transaction is complete and ask APSPDCL about...

                              Service Number : S30121180 Sirimalle nagar, I have been receiving bill which not as per consumption. We are away from home last month and then we realized that we have been paying bill which is not relavant to actual consumtion. Average of 200+ units is getting entered in our bill which is not correct.
