I reserved a ticket to fly from chennai to vishakhpatnam on 5th July'16. The flight no 502 is scheduled to depart at 12.45 and was delayed progressively as 1:30, 1:50, 2:05 and 2:10.
I first contacted the Spicejet customer care counter upon reaching the airport at 11:30 to inquire about the updates on the schedule, for which they responded that they've no further updates. The communication source at the airport which displays the security, check-in and boarding status continued to remain as delayed even at 2:10pm.
I went to the spicejet counter at 1:50 to check further updates, they toiled for a while and realised that the boarding is on. By the time, i reach the check-in counter at 2:02, they said the flight is about to depart and they cannot allow us to board the flight.
We're denied to board the only flight service on the day and the response of spice jet - Mr.Suresh and his team is pathetic. First the female representatives said that they just changed shifts and unaware of the status and then they started giving reasons that one should not follow the board but just proceed for security check even if the only mode of communication(i.e. led boards) don't mention proceed for security and whatever they can quote.
We missed the flight, lost money and the worst is the indifference of Spicejet to communicate properly. Was this information helpful? |
