We were four passengers from spice jet flight no. Sg253 from srinagar international airport to igi airport, new delhi on 22.09.2018 on pnr no. Y8wsgp. The scheduled departure time of the flight was 1640 hours and we reached the airport at 1245 hours. No staff was present at the spice jet counter to guide us. The spice jet staff turned up at the counter at 1330 hours and told us that the flight no. Sg253 was preponed and has already left. They also told that the flight has been getting preponed for last four days. However, we did not get any message, call or e-mail from the spice jet staff informing us about the re-scheduling of the said flight. While we we expressing our discomfort, several other passengers also joined us and a huge commotion resulted. The staff was continuously gave various false reasons that the message, calls and e-mails were sent to us. After heated arugument and consistent pursuaion, the staff told us the truth that they suffered from system failure bcz. One of the passengers who had booked his ticket at 745 am today (22.09.2018) was not made aware of the preponement of the flight sg253. The huge discomfort caused to me (Rajeev jauhari) who has undergone angioplasty and icd implantation is indescribable. Left with no choice, i had to travel back to the hotel to avoid any medical complications. Although, the spice jet staff stated that rs. 11, 140.00 have been refunded to me, i request you to look into the matter personally and refund my expenses for our journey to the hotel and back to the airport (Rs. 2000/- as taxi fare), one night stay in the hotel (Rs. 5000/- as tariff for two rooms) and your economy class air fare (Rs.11, 140/-) as damages. The payment of compensation must be informed to me by message, call and return e-mail at the earliest. The connivance of spice jet staff with the staff of other airlines cannot be ruled out and needs to be investigated.
