I had booked tickets with the following details on 23rd may 2018:
Flight: spice jet sg-517
Date of travel: 12th une 2018
Pnr: t3nisb
Travelling from banglore to kolkata
1. Passenger name: durba basu pnr: t3nisb age:65
2. Passenger name: pranab basu pnr: t3nisb age:77
And had received confirmation for the same.
They were denied boarding after reaching the check-in counter (At the airport) on the basis of overbooking. I had received a proper confirmation regarding the ticket booking for which i had paid. The people in charge at the check-in counter had asked them to go back and return on 13th june 2018 for boarding a different flight. After a lot of argument they provided my parents with an alternate hopping flight later from bangalore to kolkata via hyderabad (Where they had to change their flight). They arrived kolkata around 12:00 am at midnight, which was very much inconvenient for 2 elder people travelling alone.
I expect the airline to take full responsibility for the inconvenience caused to the senior citizens.
As per car regulations (Section 3.1) i would like to claim a full refund of the flight ticket and additional compensation for the inconvenience caused to me and my parents.
