This is to your notice that SpiceJet airlines at IXB station has their own rules. I had a cabin luggage and a backpack where I had carried my laptop. I was asked to weigh both the luggage and pay extra amount of ₹3600/-. I accept the fact that my cabin luggage was 2 kgs extra and I was ready to pay for it but why weigh my laptop bag? I’m a frequent traveler and have never seen such kind of scenario in other stations. When asked to the ground rep.she informed that it’s applicable in all the station, which is completely a wrong statement.
I also saw a ground staff standing at the boarding gate with a weighing scaler and another staff member with a card swiping machine. They were literally weighing the luggage of passengers with two luggage and creating a chaos and havoc to the passengers. This is completely not acceptable if the airlines is looking forward for customer satisfaction.
First, I had to pay extra amount and second the passengers had to face issue at the boarding gate. This is completely not ethical and have not ever seen in any other station throughout India.
Requesting the team to look into this and try to refund my amount which was not applicable for the extra laptop bag.
