I had my 2 nos ticket booked for traveling from Kolkata to Chandigarh on date 18/05/2017 PNR No. ZYS3VW and HEWV6E. My wife was 7 months pregnant and While getting a boarding pass they asked for the confirmation from doctor that she can fly.
I showed them all my reports stating her condition was normal with no complication. But staff immediately cancelled our tickets for the reason that it was not mentioned that she can fly too (we travelled from Chandigarh to Kolkata 27 days back on same reports) and told that the amount will be refunded after some deductions.
Now with a 7 month pregnant lady I traveled 7 kms by road back to home then to the doctor for getting that confirmation to fly. Then I again booked my tickets to Delhi (Costlier than my previous cancelled tickets by approx 4 thousand rupees) as it was urgent for me to reach chandigarh same day and also I was not able to afford the flight to chandigarh due to high prices now. Traveled again 7 kms to Aiport by road. Now from Delhi to Chandigarh I again traveled 250 Kms approx by road.
I think the mental and physical harassment crossed it limits. She would had easily traveled through 4.30 hours duration of flight rather than getting so unforgettable traveling by road.
This mental, physical and financial harassment (already conveyed to the employee who cancelled tickets that it will happen to me) made me to complaint about them. Till now there is no confirmation or communication made about cancellation and refund. This was very unprofessional behavior. They would have easily get my wife checked by their doctors including no complication report from my doctor. Was this information helpful? |
