[Resolved] Spice Jet Airlines — harrasment and collected charges from kids | |||
dear sir, i would bring to your kind notice that my two daughters, khushi n krishi travelled from kolkatta to chennai in SG324 SPICEJET on sun 5th oct 2014. while entering the airport and at spicejet counter ms. deepmala an employee of spicejet in kolkatta demanded a sum of rs 1500/- as UNMR charges from the kids inspite of all the fares and tickets booked in advance. as they were not carrying cash and my daughters are frequent flyer they were made to cry and called my relatives to pay the UNMR charges which they have said it is compulsory to pay.. my kids got frightened and as they have to board the flight they somehow borrowed and managed to pay the amount. then one of the staff of spicejet took them to the flight and informed the crew of the spicejet to handover the kids to their parents. after landing in chennai none of the crew staff escorted the child and they were left alone stranded. my daughter collected the baggage and came out alone. as under UNMR charges policy if the amount is paid it is the duty of the airlines and its crew to handover the kids to their parents. i request the consumer forum to get back the refunds money not only which is paid but also an apology letter from spicejet for the harasment to the kids and mentally disturbing and creating a factor of fear to the parents without escorting the kids and leaving alone. looking forward from you an severe action against the airlines staff. regards rakesh jain Was this information helpful? | |||
