We are sorry to read about the issue, In reference to your complaint regarding refund for hotel.
We would like to inform you that we tried to get the refund from the hotel, but hotel denied for the refund because as per cancellation rules by the time flight cancellation the hotel was already Non-refundable.
Hence we regret that no refund can be processed for the booking.

This is the most expected reply that I had in mind as it was very convenient. I first want to know more about the flight refund which as per email to me from spicejet dated 4th of July 2016 has been done to Makemytrip for Rs. 48224. I want to know the status of this amount as I have not received it.
Now on the hotel part the cancellation rules are applied on me when i make the cancellation on my part but here the hotel cancellation is due to flight cancellation and as a travel partner its your part to either arrange another booking or provide refund. If this is action is not taken on your part what is is the point of having a travel partner, people should rather book flights on their portals and give a call to hotel for bookings.On my part I tried to call the hotel on 3rd july to request for reschedule but they said they would have done it if I had booked it directly but now i will have to come through the agent only.
I do not deny the truth in your above statement that hotel may have denied refund but why should i get penalized, when it got cancelled for the flight issue and I have a travel partner to take care o the situation.
I hope my message was clear on what was expected from makemytrip & i believe to receive a positive note on it from you.
