I had booked a SpiceJet flight through HappyFares.in for 12th Of Dec, 2023 for 2 passengers.
The flight first got delayed & then cancelled by the airline. On calling the customer care of SpiceJet, I was first told that the flight wasn't cancelled but flew on 13th Dec, 2023 instead of 12th Dec, 2023 after 24 hours. Hence, they can't process a refund. On continuous escalation, the airline told us to get in touch with the travel agent through whom we had booked our tickets.
The HappyFares team has been telling us that they need a confirmation from the airline for the flight cancellation to process our refund & the airline isn't giving us a straight reply.
We had to book another ticket at a much higher cost to fly at a later date on 21st Dec, 2023 since it was a medical emergency & even now after so many calls & emails, we have not received our refund.
The travel agent & the airline are playing a ping-pong game & we are stranded.
I need a resolution for this asap.
- Refund for my original flight ticket
- Refund of the additional money I had to pay for the new ticket
- Refund for the additional money I spent for the travel (to & from from my home to the airport twice)
- Compensation for my salary lost due to my wasted leave
