I had to board my flight from Bengaluru to Gwalior on 21/02/2022 at 1:05 pm. PNR: Y5MMGR
On doing check-in through the app and website, it was failing again and again and redirecting to the same page. On calling customer care first they were very casual about the situation and upon insisting to help, they said it's auto check-in upon asking for the boarding pass they were just saying it will come. At 11:30, I even told them that my flight is at 1:05 and check-in baggage drop will be closed at 12:05, please help me with the boarding pass to with they said it will come to your email provided. But it didn't. When I reach the counter for baggage drop, they all were very rude and taunted me with things like we have several counters, why you are standing here, regarding the check-in time, they even went ahead and said what do you want should I pay for you from my pocket etc. I was already in panic as I didn't have the boarding pass as well. Upon giving the luggage they charges Rs. 9000 from me seeing the situation that it's already 12:05 and I am scared that they will not allow me to check-in and I will miss the flight. My laptop bag was also counted as extra hand baggage and on top of it, I was charged extra Rs. 6000 for another trolley hand baggage that I was carrying. While I see other people on the same flight carrying 2 handbags one trolley and one laptop bag. The government's guidelines state that one can carry 1 handbag along with a laptop bag/ladies' purse. Why I was treated differently and taken advantage of the situation? Why other customers were allowed and I was an exception? Why I was charged extra if other customers were allowed? It's obvious they used this situation at their best to extract money from me. Really pathetic from Spicejet's side, have never experienced such behavior to extract money from the user by taking advantage of their situation. I was a regular customer of Spicejet till date, but after yesterday's incident I will never ever book a ticket from Spicejet, you have lost a valuable customer just because of your pathetic staff and greed to extract money from the customers. I really regret booking a ticket with Spicejet and have warned my family and friends to beware of Spicejet and its services, none of them is ever booking a ticket from you guys. I have been traveled with other airlines as well and never ever have experienced such disgusting behavior and such rude staff as if they are doing some kind of favour by providing the service to me. Please refund my money. I am also filling a consumer complaint against you guys. As well as will be taking to a law firm to put up a case against spicejet for such harasement.
