My account has been closed by standard chartered bank 4 months ago. The reason is I am not staying the address which is given to bank. I am working in abroad. Then My remaining balance has been delivered to the person who is staying in the existing address. I raised a complaint on July 22 but still not resolved and no one is responding even in nearest branch and customer care representatives.

    I am a student and pursuing my higher studies in united states. Prior to this i was employed in a company in india. Few days back i made a payment from and as i was traveling could not make the payment on time (Late by 3 days only). For a transaction of 800 they have charged me 620rs late fee.
    Before coming over here i was being assured by the bank representatives that i will be getting full support from bank regarding my international and domestic accounts. But now not only denying any help also mentally harassing by keeping me hold for long time and disconnecting the call in between.

        My credit of scb was settled in year 2003 & now they are claiming amounts to be paid, after 16 years.
        It was settled in 6 installments & all chqs were cleared in that period.
        Now they are creating a problem for civil scores & not able to get a loans
        Now they are demanding 45 lakhs from me.
        I am having a emails from bank & i am unable to attach as it is word file.

          My name is praveen and i am working in kerala (kochi), i applied for a personal loan (due to my baby pre term delivery) in standard chartered bank through phone banking, they assigned me a sales executive from banglore her name is Ms.Babitha her contact number is +[protected] and her senior is Ms.Dhanya her contact number is +[protected], they requested documents from me and i have submitted it to them on 5th of July 2019 and again they requested few more documents that also i submitted to them, then they promised me that they will approve my loan and credit my money at 19th july 2019, after that both of them never picked my call, even i called from other number after hearing my voice they pretend that they couldnt hear my voice and disconnect my calls, on 23rd they itself called me and promised that they will approve my loan at 31st july 2019. again same problem both of them picked my call, finally i went to nearest standard chartered bank in kochi and enquired they called Ms.Babitha and requested for reason she replied simply stating that she cant provide loan. Now i am paying interest unnecessarily for the hospital expenses which was paid in my credit card. If they have told clearly in the beginning i would have gone with other bank for personal loan.

          even i contacted phone banking customer care and asked them to connect relevant person to consult regarding this irrue, they said they dont have an option to connect the call, and they informed me that they will arrange a callback within 24 to 48hrs, as of now i didnt get any call back. i complained 3 times regarding this. these sales executives are simply telling lies to customers for their commission charges. Totally disappointed and fedup with standard chartered bank service.

            I applied for top up loan on my current loan. The update was loan amount will be disbursed on monday and money in account by tue or wed max. Wed gone and i kept calling the loan agent (Usha). No response. Called the loan customer care was kept on hold for 25 mins but still no supervisor available.

            There is a problem with ecs for which i have been making payment monthly manually and the problem is still not resolved even though i get a msg every 30th of the month.

              The sanction letter dated 05th august, 2004 the said loan was repayable in 192 equated monthly installments to the bank against the home loan (A/c no[protected] amount of rs. 11, 00, 000/- (Rupees eleven lakhs only) sanctioned by the bank
              Where i have already paid all 192 installments i. E around twenty three lakhs (23, 00, 000/-) and
              As on date still the bank is showing outstanding balance of inr 7, 63, 820.91 and nor the bank is replying when i am written them nos of e mails to answer me back but haven't got non of the reply by their end.
              And only keeps on demanding the money by recovery department

                This is regarding credit card associated with corporate account # [protected]. I have been using this account since 10 years and this is the first time i am facing such issue. My january 2019 bill of card was 1400 (700 annual fee +700 purchase), i was out of country during that time and my phone wasnt working so i missed the payment once back in india (Feb 2019) i saw that rs 500 has been charged as late fee. I called customer care and waiver was promised for late fee. I didnt receive any update, later after a month again 500 was charged i called customer care again and a call back was promised. Since then no waiver has been provided and late fee is getting added every month due to this my outstanding has become 5500 from 1400. I dont think i am liable to pay this amount. This much of late fee is totally unacceptable considering my history that i hardly use this card. Please provide a resolution on this.

                  Hello Team,

                  I regret to inform that Standard Chartered customer care was inefficient to solve my query.
                  I'm receiving the credit card statement of negative 1738/- every month to my residential address which was closed in 2014.
                  When I called Customer care they were not helpful as none of my details matched with the existing account details. Its obvious as I don't use the same contact number.
                  So I was advised to email customer care & from June 27 till date I haven't received any resolution at all.
                  All I want to know if DD can be issued for 1738/- or can they activate my credit card as I'm trying to build my credit score.
                  This is amount is reflecting as negative on all of the Credit Bureaus - Cibil, Experian, CRIF & Equifax.
                  I have given new contact details 3 times & to update my records as expected Customer care failed to update my details & I have been asked to wait.
                  I didn't know it would take nearly 30days to solve my query.

                  Please take necessary actions against Customer care & help me in removing this negative amount on the card.

                    Scb had delivered a manhattan cc to my address without my consent about a month past... And after my request they have confirmed cancellation of the credit card on 22nd july, 2019...
                    I fail to understand why they have charged of trfd for rs.999/- in other card (Ending..2636) when they have said to destroy the manhattan cc and has not been used...
                    Please arrange to send me a revised statement deleting trfd amount of rs.999/- without any penalty for deley in payment..

                          I'm holding scb salary account since 8 years. I applied for a personal loan 10 days back and that too was a top-up on an existing loan. I went through a long process of verification and regular chasing from my side and after 10 days i got to know that it has been reject and i'm not informed. I have been chasing rehsmi from gurgaon team, and she used to call me from a mobile number and kept telling from day1 that it'll take maximum 2-3 business days and after that 8 more days passed. Now her phone is switched off and after making mail and call back through customer care nothing happened. No one has bothered to provide an update.

                          I badly wanted this loan and i kept telling her that maximum by today i should get it and she assured me each time i asked her. Now i'm not in a position to fulfill my commitment where i was dependent on this loan.

                          At this situation some other bank helped me get the loan in just 2 days and i'm very much thankful to them.

                          I don't understand what kind of fraudulent and deceiving service is this. Is this how you treat your customer and kill their time. I'm surely going to withdraw my salary account and credit card after experiencing this.

                          Don't lie and cheat your customers. If you can not provide within promised timeline, convey it upfront but don't play with emotions.

                            I have been a customer with standard chartered bank since 2010, when my salary account was opened. The bank then proceeded to offer me and practically force me to take a credit card with an initial credit limit of 25000 inr. Over the years, as my salary increased, the credit limit was increased to 55000 inr. Last year in september, there was a drastic change in my financial situation because of which i was unable to continue regular payments for my credit card bill, on which i had some loan amount due, too. When people from their collection team started calling me, i told them about my situation and requested them to wait until i was able to recover from my crisis and resume regular payments. They said that they would grant me a loan for the outstanding amount so i could pay it off, but when they learned that my credit card had expired, they refused to sanction the loan and instead started levying heavy charges every month. Since the end of last year they have been hounding me for payments (At one time even turning up at my doorstep and creating a scene in front of my landlord), even though i have made payments whenever possible during this time of crisis.in february this year, they even went to the extent of calling up my wife and a friend of mine in west bengal (My home state) to demand payments. When i complained to their customer care team about this harassment, they denied having called my friend. I emailed the customer care team to ask them to formulate a repayment scheme for me (Taking into account my current crisis), and they refused. Some time last week, they blocked my standard chartered bank savings account which had 3099 inr without any intimation whatsoever. I am a poor man in comparison to what i was earlier and it's true that it may take me a long time to recover and pay them back, but i have always made it clear that i intend to pay them back and not just ignore the dues.

                            I have attached the email exchange here.

                            I still request them to consider unblocking my savings account and offering me a viable repayment scheme such as a loan or something instead of harassing me, my family and my friends this way.

                              Before 3-4 years this was the salary account but when i changed my job then my salary deposited other bank so standard charted bank without inform me change the salary account to saving account and till now i am not enable to 25000 balance in my account, so i want to convert to 0% balance but bank not doing this before 5-6 month i went to bank then rejected my document and today[protected] also rejected (My adhaar card, pencard). I want to compaint against bank and i will take action against bank and i will discuss with my lawyer and i will not give the minus balance in saving account

                                I have submitted my aadhar at the time of account opening, but on uidai portal it is shown that my aadhar is not linked with any bank account, and due to that i am not been able to get my scholership amount in that account. Please look into matter. Not bank or not even aadhar center is helping me in this situation, and the same is done with my friends also,

                                  This is in regards to my personal loan account with standard chartered bank, In the year 2017 i opted for personal of Rs 10 lakh from standard chartered & 5th of every month i am supposed to make emi payment. however in June month (2109), the emi amount was not deducted from my bank account & neither i have received any intimation call or message from the bank end. Now after 15 days, i have started getting harassing calls from third party collection agency whereas they are neither ready to send the online payment link to make the payment, nor sending an email about the conversation. i have checked my bank statement & basis on that there are no bounce cheque charges leveied to my account, This is sheer harasment & forcing customer to additional charges & exclude the name from the offer of last emi waiver (as per my plan).

                                  Would request you to provide the assistance & take necessary action accordingly.

                                    I preferred standard chartered Bank for my salaried account and also taken super value titanium credit card with standard chartered Bank believing for good services.

                                    Now, I am not at all satisfied with your services and planned now to close my credit card account and savings account for the number of issues from your system, DISAPPOINTMENT and mental stress caused to me.

                                    I faced lots of issues and deducted the below issues from you system:

                                    1. I had applied to only ONE CREDIT CARD. But, you had approved for two credit cards which had caused lot of mental stress in the whole process.

                                    (Which cannot be possible unless the system is thoroughly checked. This shows the system is not proper. If the same issue is found in personal loan disbursement where you approve twice the times the loan required, it will be huge loss for your bank)

                                    2. I had blocked one card, but the other card ending with 2807 was never linked neither to my online banking nor in mobile banking.

                                    3. If I clicked card summary and profile settings in net banking, only the blocked card was displayed and not the active card(Attached screenshot).

                                    4. If I went to Card payment page, there were no cards associated in my account ( Attached screenshot).

                                    Without linking the card on online account, you had sent message alone asking to pay which is not at all possible without linking it.

                                    5. Without enabling email statements for registered credit cards and without sending to my mail, you had demanded to make the payment with having many issues from your side.

                                    6. Phone banking system is very poor. If a customer dials, it asked two options :1. Enter account number (or) 2. Enter debit card number. If I enter account account number, it not redirecting to customer care representative. (As per OR condition, if any one option is true out if two conditions, it should give expected output)

                                    Instead, it is asking to generate T-PIN which I never needed presently which irritated me a lot lot.

                                    I had tested their system and revealed many issues and flaws in their system, given a chance to correct and rectify it so that other new customers (present and future) should not face the same issues and decide to leave from standard chartered Bank like me.

                                    As a token of appreciation, they should have considered me for "Bug bounty program" which many reputed companies will reward for showcasing the issues and loopholes in their system so that they will correct their issues and their quality and reputation will be enhanced. But, they had never considered for this.

                                    Now, I am in a situation to terminate my Relationship with standard chartered Bank ( salary savings account and credit card).

                                    Also, there was no proper customer care support and no response to any emails/concerns! No steps taken for past 3 months.

We are surprise to note that one or another reason it is going beyond anybody’s capacity. As on today tentatively we have paid almost Rs.3, 95, 000/- Extra.
                                      You are once again requested to pay Rs.3, 95, 000/- immediately and relieve us and send us the original documents to us.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I am in receipt of your above referred letter in reply to our e-mail dtd. 20th May, 2019.

                                      I am surprise to note that you have not replied to various points raised by us, but you are going on writing that rate of revision in interest etc.

                                      I have mentioned that in the agreement signed by both of is, there are two things.

                                      1) Instalment should be 156 Nos and should be completed in 2016.

                                      2) As mentioned in my above letter we have paid almost Rs.3, 95, 000/- Extra and I do not have to pay anything.

                                      You have not replied to above two points and expect to send your clarification mainly for Number of Instalment 156 Nos.
