I'm making a complaint regarding the above insurance which is still charging me through my Ambank Bonuslink Credit Card.

One of the officer called me and invited me to join in their Smart Partnership Programme in which i had rejected the offer. However, I was shocked to find out in my credit card statement that they had continuously charge me for TWO months under the programme which i had declined...

It's hard to open an saving account as we were working in foreign country as we provided work permits, confirmation letter and 3 month salary. She still asked to do online and as we said dun any other online account.. kinda disappointed with the service... This is not the first time.. if the service like how to open a saving account in Ambank .. very complicated.. hope there is anything can do something to settle this problem in future.. thank you

    Complaint on poor customer service

    The costumer service is terrible, very poor attitude. Your staff did't respond nor settled the problems even after we had call many times and sent many mails.

    It was an impossible task to activate the digital token, due to the following situations that occurred :
    1. it took more than 300 seconds to receive the code, so it will expire. As such we were not able to enter the correct code.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I am writing in the email to let you know that one of your Customer service/loan agent named: Bhoovinder was being rude and harrased me by calling me non stop back to back on non office hours/weekends in order to respond to his WhatsApp msg. On top of that, he reached out to my brother and threatened to end the process of loan application if i do not answer his call or reply his msg immediately. Why am i being harrased like this instead of be given time to respond? This is unacceptable and the reason why i am not going to proceed with further steps on applying loan or being an Ambank customer for the fear of ill treatment from your agents.
    Kindly educate your agents on how to treat customers.

      To Whom It May Concern
      I would like to log an official complaint at one of your Fund Manager at Kampar Ambank Branch. Her name is Ms Liew and contact number is[protected]. She is very unprofessional and unethical to call herself an investment adviser. My mother by the name of Hang Yee Looi was one of her customer, she has been approaching her to invest in all sort of different fund for many years. Non of the fund has make any profit, generally we unable to discontinue the fund otherwise we would lost even greater. I have been talking to Ms Liew for many times since 2020, that my mother age has already been like 75 yo, she is not supposed to take up any even a low-risk investment fund, the money that we give her is for her saving and usage, I do not mind Ms Liew to help put that into fixed deposit or Amanah Saham which I have made very clear with her. Last year I have called to Ms Liew again and even personally went to the Kampar Ambank Branch to confront her as I noticed similar fund investment happened again. My mother personally told me that she always signed a lot of documents, she did not even know what are those documents all about, she did not even know whether did she transfer any of her personal saving to any place or not. She is illiterate, that is the reason why I told Ms Liew very clearly that any signature of investment must be sign in front of me. She did listen and when ahead again and again. When I confronted Ms Liew I demanded her to list out all the funds, fixed deposit etc that is under my mother name and joined name with me at Ambank, she has provided me the list, after sometime my mother shown me another investment letter from Ambank, this investment account wasn’t at the list she provided me earlier. Again when I called her why this account was missed out, she given the excuses that this one was because it is under individual account so she need to get consent from my mother. Isn’t in the first place when my mother and I was there in the branch, both my mother and I already consented to disclosed everything to me and why is she deliberately holding back such information? In the recent case on 4 Oct 2022, Ms Liew has giving me a call by phone, unfortunately I couldn’t pick up her call because I’m in meeting, then later at night when I call my mother, she told me that Ms Liew said I did not picked up her called, because of one of the fund has expired she need urgently to put that into another fund. Imagine an old lady at 75 yo rush all the way to the bank using her old bicycle just to signed something that again she do not understand. This is totally unacceptable, is Ms Liew or Ambank hold full responsibility on my mother safeness? Is she going to hold full responsible if any unfortunate event like accident happen to my mother? Why is the rush for this transfer and why it is require to settle on the spot? To me, at least, it shown that Ms Liew acknowledged with our previous conversation that all the new investment need my consent and present, that is the reason she bother to give me a call, but why only one missed call? We have been talking few times thru Whatapps previously as well, why not leave a message or voice message to ask me to call back urgently? Isn’t this a deliberately act to hide something or wanted to divert the excuses. Where is the bank code of ethic?
      I am taking this matter seriously, I am considering her no different like a scammer but hide behind a good bank name like yourself. I am demanding an explanation from your bank on why the branch manager is allowing his/her staff doing such an unethical thing. I am also wanted to have your internal compliance team to check on Ms Liew with regards whether did she happen to mislead my mother to transfer any unauthorised fund to her personal account. I am demanding to restrict her from handling my mother profile. My tolerance and patient at her way o[censored]nethically serve the customers has reached my limit. I’m not sure how many more victims has she cheated, I am definitely have faith and confidence with Ambank management to settle this and provide me a full explanation. I will leave it to your good officer to start your internal probing.

      I demand a reply from Ambank within 7 working days starting from 6 Oct 2022 on the next cause of action, failing to do so I am not hesitate to further escalate to report to BNM and police on the unethical customer service. Thanks.

          Have been fully settle all outstanding before MBF merge with Ambank, suddenly after 7 years call up and tell me still owe Ambank card payment .

          Their own Ambank problem put a responsible to end user and ask for more payment that have settle long time ago.

              MAA MBF Scam

              Same as other complaints regarding maa mbf insurance via telemarketing, i would like to highlight my complaint as well because up until now i still haven't got my insurance policy in writing as promised by the telemarketeer.               First of, your kuala lumpur branch is not doing their job, my credit card outstanding is due because of your department did not do the job in sending out the letter!! now when I am trying to clear the outstanding your stupid department trying to delay!!! and play around !! this issue has been brought up to the central bank malaysia! they should know this so call bank tried to cheat the consumer and delay everything to charge more fees!! all your staff are sleeping

                Your contact center is not able to advise proper procedure for fd redemption, i have been sending written instructions as requested and every time after submission, they will change the requirements happily and never get my request done. I will write to the press about the stress we are trapped at other country and unable to even transfer our own money to our own account due to AMbank changing requirements all the times and making things difficult for customers. I feeling very sick about the way your bank handle customer request.

                      I received a call from ambank to go to the bank to update address for ammetlife account. I asked for other options as a bank visit just for address updating is inconvenient and unnecessary (covid). So i went and took 15min to find parking under hot sun just to wait outside the bank for 30-40min. When i was inside i filled the form up in under 5min. No ID needed for verification. Which brings up the topic of whether it is necessary to do this physically at the bank. I had to rush back to work afterwards. On another note, I was also told that ammetlife is not ambank group, giving me the assumption its not affiliated? When it was ambank staff that sold me the insurance. I feel reluctance in services after sales.

                              On 11 April 2021, I applied housing loan at Ambank Jasin, Melaka.
                              Mohd Daniel Shafiq is the banker who handle my case, finally i got my softcopy LO on 8 June 2021 after I requested from him numerous times.
                              It is approved on 19 May 2021 actually, I dunno why does it takes so much time to send me.
                              And then I only manage to know my loan facility after I review the softcopy LO, I did mentioned I want to take flexi loan before apply and he said okay with that, but end up the loan is term loan with maximum MRTA. Then I requested to change to flexi loan and minimum MRTA on 8 June 2021. And he told me he submitted to HQ on 9 June. However, on 14 June 2021, Mohd Daniel told me that term loan cannot be change to flexi loan else need to review again, okay, nevermind, I'm fine with it.

                              -Now I just to change the MRTA to minimum years. But it took forever for him to change. Requested to change on 8 June 2021, until today 22 June 2021, still cannot change. He ask me to sign the original LO with maximum MRTA, afterwards only change the MRTA, it makes no sense. Why does it take so long to amend the MRTA only? It only takes 2-5 days for other banks for loan approval, but ambank cannot manage to amend MRTA in 2 weeks?
                              -He always ignore/seen my messages without reply, call no pickup, giving excuses meeting or customer enquiry every time, didn't even call back or reply my questions/messages afterward, very unprofessional. I need to follow up myself on the whole process of loan financing. I'm very disappointing on the service. Worst service!
