My wife was admitted in Positran hospital for Stone Surgery. She suffered from Post-surgery complications and Hospitalised again. The hospital bill was Rs. 31077/- out which Star Health approved only Rs. 25726/- against my claim no. CID/2023/700004/1303758. This is hrassment of General Public. Kindly resolve my matter and approve balance payment to hospital.

    I, mrs. veena amin purchased a policy no : p/161130/01/2023/061279 in the month of july 2022, at the time of new policy start health didnt arrange any medical of mine, and before this policy i was having national insurance policy.
    after 2 month, an problem arise in my breast ( blood discharge) i went to dr. sushil mandhaniya on 17/08/2022 after that it been 1st time seen that am suffering with carcinoma in situ breast cancer, for which i applied for cashless that time also my case been rejected.
    on 6th sept2022 i been operated and on 8th evening i got discharge .
    after that i applied for reimbursement, after many conversation star health replied that " my diseases is pre medical disease and i hide it while taking new policy " on this i ask to doctor to give me a medical certificate in which they must mentioned that when my first cancer been confirmed after biopsy . i sent all the document whatever star health needed but still after that they rejected my claim. and the final letter they send that my policy they will cancel which may occur from 3rd jan 2023. so now finally i am launching the complain against star health and allied insurance to consumer forum and court too for doing fraud with me . star health did fraud with me while purchasing of policy they didnt ask nor arrange for medical..

      I had purchased a star health India cancer policy on Dec 09 2021 for rs 26845 . I left india on Dec 16 2021. The agent Mr. Gulshan prajapati told me that the policy would reach in soft and hard copy . I waited till Jan 02 2022, i had not recd any policy documents, so i contacted the agent and he told him that their doctors are asking for pet scan report, i told the agent that when we had discussed i had submitted all relevant documents to...

      Dear Sir,
      I have been using Star Health Insurance for past 7 years now and have been paying my premiums on time.

      I am 72 years old dependent person with zero income.

      My policy number with Star Health Insurance is P/231117/01/2022/008824 and ID card number is[protected]. My policy is registered under the product Senior Citizens Red Carpet Health Insurance Policy.

      My health deteriorated in the month of August when all of a sudden blood in my stool was detected. My health deteriorated in such a way that I was unable to eat, sleep and pass stool. The doctors in Varanasi suggested I to show in a Metro city like Delhi, Mumbai or Gurgaon to get a proper treatment.

      In a rush my family took me overnight to Delhi but my health further deteriorated in the train and had to be taken to CK Birla Hospital in an Ambulance as I was unable to breathe properly and was admitted in an emergency. As my condition wasn't stable my son took me to the hospital where his physician consultant is located.

      In a wary of things we couldn't check that the hospital is not empanelled for Cashless but for a after reimbursement.

      After getting discharged I submitted all the bills in a proper format but my claim is rejected. Can you please help in this grievance as I am a no income 74 year old person.

      I got admitted to CK birla on 23rd August and got discharged on 26th August 2022. My Claim Intimation number is CIR/2023/231117/0724399

        Dear sir, What is the advantage of giving intimation of any hospitalisation, insurance companies are being intimated for having flawless mediclaim procedural.
        Even after giving information, respective medical personnel do not visit and check about the need and status of any patient's hospitalisation, then after how can be the mediclaim of that patient is being rejected and quary is raised about the claim.
        Why we, as a CUSTOMER have to suffer if companies are unable to check and ### during hospitalisation. !!!
        We as a CUSTOMER also suffer financial crises when the claim is being rejected and our money is on the toss. Also, the ICP documents are being judged by non degree personal and asking unnecessary questions to the doctors, this is how we are supposed get harrasment.

        Sir, i would request you to solve this permanent problem on ASAP bases, because these companies are not treating patients very well.

          The total approved amount for the surgery by M/s StarHealth was Rs. 2 lacs. However, the total bill from the hospital was Rs. 1.5 lakhs only, which is significantly less than the approved amount.

          Despite this, M/s. Star Health has deducted Rs. 49, 294( approx. 33%) without providing any reasons or justification for these deductions. They have not provided any references to the terms and conditions of the Policy, under which these deductions were made. This is completely arbitrary and completely unfair.

          For over a month, now and after multiple follow-ups with Star Health, there has been no clear response. They have not provided any reasons as to why this was disallowed. I have repeatedly told them via email, that the policy document has no mention of such deductions. I have requested them to provide the relevant sections of the policy document under which such deductions were made. However, they have chosen not to reply to this point at all.

          I want this claim to be honoured at the earliest.

            i am your very esteem customer, whenever i used to go sat heatlh tie up chandan phythology lab dehradun for health check up they used say that this policy no is invalid p/7000001/01/2022/016343 as renew by 07/07/2022 valid upt 6.7.2023 same issue also occur in april 2022 that your policy not valid in both case i have provided policy bond and both cases was too hearted why i am renewing policy your are making fool to us. .
            So finally compelling me to switch over another health insurance as well as your customer heath team was also not supporting .
            So reimburse my health check up amount as per your norms.

                I want to put your kind attention on the scam the star health insurance company is doing with us as a customer. They are denying to provide any valid claim according to their own policy documents as well.
                I am in big trouble. Please help me to get out of this,

                I am Nitin Mittal having a star health young star policy number :- P/211128/01/2021/002156 for me and my family, which starts from 14-JAN-2021. My wife Mamta Rani was admitted into Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon on 10th Sept 2022 due to "Ectopic Pregnancy" which is a life threatening condition and needs immediate treatment. Immediately i admitted her into hospital on 10th sept for treatment.
                On 11th september i submitted a request to Star health for pre authorise her treatment. On 12 they rejected the claim stating "We note that the insured patient has been admitted for pregnancy and related complications. Expenses for this treatment are not admissible in accordance with exclusion no. Excl 18 of the policy."

                But in mine policy document exclusion 18 is saying that "Medical treatment expenses traceable to childbirth including complicated deliveries and caesarean sections incurred during hospitalization except ectopic pregnancy"

                I am not able to understand why they are rejecting mine claim even if it is clearly mentioned that ectopic pregnancy is covered and not excluded.

                Their are multiple IRDA and supreme court orders saying that ectopic pregnancy should be covered in BASE PLAN on in/ternet as well.

                On calling their helpline they are saying that "you have to send whether She is having ectopic pregnancy on doctor letterhead".

                I arranged that from the doctor on request and sent that along with reconsideration on the same day 12 September.They again rejected mine claim stating the same reason again "We note that the insured patient has been admitted for pregnancy and related complications. Expenses for this treatment are not admissible in accordance with exclusion no. Excl 18 of the policy."

                I want to raise this to you with humble folded hands that please help me to get my valid and true claim as mine policy documents. I am feeling like a victim of fraud as I submitted the full premium amount and now when I need a claim from star health they are denying on the basis of false clauses.

                Please help me to get me out of this situation. As My wife is still admitted into hospital and needs further treatment from this life threatening disease.

                      I am an existing Star Health And Allied Insurance customer. I have an active health insurance policy that is about to expire on 25/8/2022. I reached out to Star Health support via email on 09/08/2022 to help with the renewal process and also provided the signed letter required for sum insured enhancement to INR 25 Lakhs. Until today, there is no progress on the renewal request and the insurance company is just ignoring all my follow up emails and delaying the process for some reason. In parallel, I am also getting verbal denials from Star Health employees (Kolkata, Salt Lake office) that I cannot extend the sum insured amount as I made a claim in May-2022. However, there is no such clause anywhere in the policy document and also the Star Health agents are not willing to provide the denial reason in email. I also have submitted a complaint with IRDA but only received a token number[protected] as an acknowledgment and no other solution.

                      I need help in renewing this policy to a higher insured sum amount before the expiry date. If there is a clause that says I am not eligible for sum enhancement as I made a claim then Star Health should send that in writing and also highlight that clause in the policy document.

                      This was not helpful at all. I am already in contact with customer support for more than 2 weeks with no outcome. Today also I got a call from star health and they mentioned the same thing that my policy cannot be extended to higher sum insured amount because I made a claim in May 2022.

                          I have bought/renewed the above policy around 7 July 2022.
                          They sent me a message saying Policy is despatched etc. and I should contact them if I did not receive it after a week.

                          I did not receive any policy document even after 18-20 days. So I contacted them on their customer care number. You know how irritating this is! Every CC no. says : Dear Customer, our IVR options have changed. Please listen to them carefully. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah. Press 1 for this, 2 for that, 3 for this, 4 for that etc. Finally you are connected to a CCE and again the automated message says: “All our CCE are busy at the moment. Your Call is important to us. Please stay on while while we connect you to the next CCE. (Who does not know that all these are FAKES!)
                          Finally CCE talks to you and for all security purposes makes so many verifications, which I feel earnestly are unnecessary!
                          Then they told me to send e-mail for which they sent me a SMS.

                          When I sent e-mail I am getting unwanted replies like how to lodge a claim and where to get a claim form etc.

                          I had to send e-mail again when I got a reply stating the document is sent by SpeedPost with Ref. no.

                          This makes me think that the first claim was FAKE! In other words they were LYING!

                          Like Insurance Hard copy is required to overcome any eventuality.

                            आदरणीय सर/मैडम, निवेदन है मेरे द्वारा दिनांक 09/12/2016 को स्‍टॉर हेल्‍थ पॉलिसी ली गई एवं लगभग 5 वर्षो से मेरे स्टार हेल्थ में सतत पॉलिसी प्रीमियम भरा जा रहा था, इस साल मेरे द्वारा पॉलिसी ऑप्शन में ई एम आई से भरना चाहा, जिसमे मेरी पहली इंस्टालमेंट जमा हो गई, एवं इससे वर्तमान पॉलिसी नं. P/201129/01/2022/001597 जिसकी अवधि 31 जुलाई 2022एवं P/201129/01/2022/003878 इसकी अवधि 17 दिसंबर 2022 का कार्ड मेरी आई.डी. में जुडा हुआ था, दूसरी इंस्टालमेंट के लिए मेरे द्वारा कई बार कोशिश की परंतु स्टार की लिंक फेल रही, कस्‍टम केयर पर बात करने पर बताया मेरी पॉलिसी बंद कर दी है, मेरे द्वारा ई मेल पर इस बात का विरोध करने पर स्टार द्वारा ई मेल कर सहायता करने के नाम पर 7 दिन के लिए ऑप्शन दिया गया, साथ में श्री जय सुराना सर का नंबर दिया गया, पुनः पेमेंट ना होने पर सुराना सर से संपर्क करने पर उन्होंने 10 दिन रुकने का बोलकर गुमराह किया और इसी अंतराल में मेरी पॉलिसी को बंद करने का ई मेल कंपनी के द्वारा कर दिया। श्री सुराना सर से बात करने पर कहा गया की अब कुछ नही हो सकता। कृपया मेरी पॉलिसी को रिनिवल करवाने का कष्ट करे, जिससे मेरी 5 वर्ष की अवधि बर्बाद ना हो।

                              Hi,

                              This is regarding claim which is rejected .
                              Here policy holder Vimala is my mother who has been hospitalised.

                              She was hospitalised as she had feaver, cold and oxygen levels was low . Where doctor here in hospital suggested to admit here for observations and treatment. But how come some one can decide whether patient can be treated as out patient.
                              Iam not understanding. And we have purchased health insurance policy for our emergency treatment when it is hospitalised.But the feedback what star health is giving is not acceptable. So need resolution for this .
