With reference to your above complaint, we have received your intimation of loss on 5 Nov.
-We received documents on 16 Nov and the pending details on 22 Nov.
-On 24 Nov the Insurance Company decision was shared with you.
The reason of rejection was also shared with you,
1) Loss reported is caused due to incorrect storage, poor care & maintenance, careless use, incorrect installation, incorrect set – up and neglect which falls outside the scope of policy.
You have mentioned in the claim documents that you had gone for dinner and phone was on the table and by mistake one of the waiter threw water over your phone .It falls outside the scope of policy, as it shows poor care and maintenance . (ref. Section 3 Exclusions point 9)
2) Date of purchase of insured equipment varied i.e. either prior/post, date of insurance, hence breach of policy warranty.
