SBI comits to open free demat a/c but but accual demate opening charge is almost 5400/- rs.
you have to open mahabachat account of rs. 5000/- + demat maintaince charge : 400 in advance

I would disagree...In fact SBI has the cheapest Demat account available...ICICI charges Rs.750/- as AMC upfront per year for Demat account only whereas SBI charges Rs 350/- AMC per year for Demat & Online Trading account. The account that you are talking about is a super bachat scheme (which is not mandatory) wherein you provide advance brokerage of Rs. 5000 and you get massive discounts on your brokerage charges. This scheme is for regular traders. Beleive me, the demat and online trading facility is the best in the market. I am a regular user of the same.

Actually I am interested in share market, I need to know few technical terms, could you please guide me?

1. what is Delivery brokerages?
2. What is Intraday brokerages?

Delivery brokerages and Intraday brokerages, both are charged by Bank, of course service charge, but the question is, do they charge on my Income gained by share? or they charge on the money I invested in the share market?
OR do they charge when I buy or sell shares? Please guide me.

i have applied on line for Demat A/c and got Demat Webway Ticket No. SBI-DMT-361221.
No any agent of your bank has contact with me for the purpose yet. I have made several call to your agent Mr. Samir, who is working my nearest branch SBI, BHU, Varanasi but always he egnore my call and pretended me for tomorrow. In case what i do, may i go to other non-sbi bank or what.
you must go to other branch.

      I also have similar complaint. They have not renewed my card for the past 1 year but still I am getting monthly statement by email and sms monthly. I am not able to open the statement as the password is 16 digit primary card which has lapsed and could not complain to sbi card helpline as it requires the card to be alive which is not the case. Whom should I complain? I do not have any balance payable.

        Dear Sir,


        This is Dhirajlal L. Dangrecha, having a/c [protected] with SBI, BHAVNAGAR, GUJARAT. My account has been debited by Rs. 5000=00 two times when I tried to make transaction on[protected] at different ATM, (Ram mantra mandi, Sardar nagar, Vaghavadi road and Ghogha circle, Bhavnagar). during the transaction I had not recieve the money and the slips for the transactions. for that I had already made a complaint regarding this issue to the home brach Bank, Bank in which the ATM falls and the Head office of the SBI(Vidyanagar Branch) at Bhavnagar(Gujarat). But the people are not responding in the correct way. They always saying 'report is not prepared' But how many days did a bank take to prepare or receive the report. till to day my money is not credited in my bank account
        Please resolve the problem as early as possible. Do need ful in this matter.

        sir i am facing the problem. I use ATM card for 1500 rs but unforchunate my 1500 retun back to ATM machien, . Now the problem is that My account is SBI and i use the SBP bank ATM. so they want letter from my SBI bank gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. But My SBI bank does not forword letter. Thats why i m not get back my money.

        i gave a request to change my pin 2 months ago. when i want to kno about my status neither the customer care is able to tell nor the bank manager(peenya branch bangalore). they are playin "blame game". i joined for the fact tat SBI is india's best bank but i never knew i ll land up this way. i got a duplicate pin after 1 month but neither it works. i gave the complaint in the month of december. then again in jan. now it is march but still no progess. tis is ont only irresponabilaty but also shame to have tis kind of customer servise that to being a govt. bank. how do i contact the GM of this bank.

        I think you should approach to banking Ombudsman for further action. But for that you should have all the documentry proof and no reply time from the bank should not be less than 1 month.

        I am very much sorry to say that employees S.B.I., of your Bhachau Branch (Gujarat-370140) are very much irresponsible. What ever documents are given to them are delayed for several days. We have given them an Electricity challan on 9/6/2009 for clearence. But till 13/6/09 it was kept as it is. Not only in case of Electricity Challan but also for several documents they use to delay. If you complain them about it they behave very roughly with the customers. I want to know one thing that they are posted in the bank to look after the customers or for their own work. Please take some immediate action aganist them.

        This is a humble request to you to have a look at the attached statement because there has been a technical mistake in your SBI ATM at Poddar Arcade Surat.

        I have already given an application letter in written regarding this matter to your bank and my account is with Kapodra branch. But i never got any response from your side.

        On 1st of july 2009 i had gone to Poddar Arcade at surat to withdraw Rs.40000. I tried to withdraw Rs.20000 twice. The first time the transaction was successful but in the second time the money was not withdrawn and i got a message that the ATM was not able to process the transaction for the second time of Rs.20000. And by mistake the bank has debited my account for Rs. 40000 instead of Rs.20000.

        while using my SBI ATM card to withdraw an amount of Rs.10, 000/ from the ICICI ATM machine at Patel Petrol Bunk, Pondicherry, the transaction failed and I got the message " Sorry, Unable to Process" and no money was delivered.         This is Rukmini kumar das with a/c no.[protected], I have withdrawl a amount of 5000/- rupees from SBI Bishrampur ATM branch on 7/11/09, but I didn't get the money and got a slip with "sorry to process slip", I have then asked for the mini statement next day and 5000/- rupees had been deducted from my account, I have then made a complain in the sbi bishrampur branch they said "it will be corrected within 10 days" but till now it is not been corrected. Now they are saying that it had been withdrawed so I asked for check no. they are even not been able to produce that too, and till now it is not been credited to my accont, I have all the slips.

        I hold an account at sbi, Branch name- Saunda, District Ramgarh, Jharkhand.
        Account no. is [protected].On[protected] I tried to withdraw 1500 from my account from another atm at Bangalore but I didnt get the money.I was not aware that amount has been deducted from my account.Today[protected], when I checked my balance then I found that 1500 has been deducted from my account.

          I Used my sbi atm card ( No[protected]and my sbi account no.[protected] in ICICI Bank ATM DWARKA SECTOR-7 TIME 11:26 ATM ID S1CN2666 in 21 feb 2009 for withdrawl 500/- but the above atm show response code 072%UNABLE TO PROCESS the TXN NO: 4838 and after I check the ATM CARD IN SBI ATM MINISTATEMENT SHOW RS. 520/- DEBITED IN MY SBI A/C .

          PLEASE CHECK THE ERROR AND RECREDIT THE 520/- IN MY A/C PLEASE .

            I, Neeraj Verma, 24 yrs old, one of the customer of state bank of india in Baraula branch (bank code-5411), Sec- 41, l have given an application for using the net banking facility for my account in sbi on 04/02/2008, but till today(i.e. 21/02/2008), I cannot access or i can not log on my net banking facility, , , , after 7 days I have met with branch officer mr. Shrivastav, and he told me that it will activate with in 24 hrs, I try to log on after 2 days but no solution found then i called to same officer but he also did not know what's the reason behind it, he told me like that but he told me like that with respect, , , my internet banking kit number is:"[protected]", packet no:"56249", circle code: "04", and the serial no: "80" and also my internet banking user id is:"13158957" which sbi given me that day, , , , so, , , if the state bank of india will solve this problem and help me to access or to log on my net banking facility within 2/3 days, then I am highly obliged and greatly thankful.

              Iam ur credit card holder Gurdeep singh frm Amritsar.my sbicard number[protected]. and my sbi account number[protected].This has refrence ur letter number {tc-ggn[protected]} dated[protected].dear sir sbi credit card officials visited my shop. convinced me to have a credit card telling me the various benifits and one time payment only.so i went for the card.and in few days card was delivered but i never knew where to deposit the payment .after some time a phone call frm Gurgaon asked me to make a payment.after few days official came and i made a one time payment on the spot and they acknowledge the receipt.i never took any benifits in between the time of gape.and that make me clear enough . Now when i reached S.B.I for my son"s education loan twelve lac rupees.i came to know about the cibil's objections POST(wo)setteled.which very badly made my loan file stuck for the time being.SBI officier want me to clean this objection on the first hand., before the file move any further. so the matter being very argent. Plz clear the cibil;s objections becouse i dont owe you any money till today.Plz do the needfull

                Dear Sir,

                Recently I received the credit card statement from SBI and was shocked to note that the bank has charged me Annual Fees of Rs. 750 + Service tax. This is totally unjust as, at the time of applying this card I had repeatedly took assurance from the sales executive that this is a life time free card.

                I hold this card for more than 2 years now and last year around same time they had charged me this fees after I contacted the customer service center they had regreted for having committed the mistake of charging me wrongly and reversed the same.

                But now I don't understand why they are hesitating to act promptly. Even a bank like SBI has got into the bandwagon of fooling customers on their way.

                Having been on of India's oldest banks it is shamful of the bank to resort to these cheap methods to increase their revenues. The act of SBI should be condemned and hope the bank top brass are aware of such illegal activities.

                I was a regular user of SBI credit card until June 2008.
                In the monthly statement of June 2008, I was charged an annual fee of Rs 750 along with other transaction amount.
                I made the total payment of Rs 2, 534.93 on 25/06/2008 and requested for cancellation of my credit card, as I was not interested in having a card with annual fee.

                So SBI took my request and canceled the card. To make me happy SBI cards reverted back the annual amount of Rs 840 to my account, but after making the card inaccessible.

                In May 2009, I got a call from SBI cards Delhi asking the reason for cancellation of my card. I explained her why should I go for a paid credit card when I have free ones available.

                She said she will check and let me know if my card was a life time free card. Later she called up congratulating, that my card is a free card and asked my address and said a new card will be sent in 15 days time.

                I was happy to receive the new card today which was a so called a free card with no annual fee. But to my surprise when I logged into my sbi card account, the annual fee was already deducted from pending amount.

                  Dear Sir,

                  I Pramod KR Malhotra age 50 years is resident of Navi Mumbai. I had applied for a credit card of SBI during the month of Dec-2006. I was issued a credit card bearing no [protected] & my account no is [protected].

                  During the first three months, I have used the card five times, out of which one’s I have used for booking air ticket from MUMBAI TO NEW DELHI for three persons. Due to some personal reason I have cancelled one ticket out of three. As the ticket was booked through credit card, the airlines told me that the amount of cancellation will be credited to my card account.
                  After this incident I realized that I should get the account statement on monthly basis, which they were not sending. I called to credit card deptt of SBI-Mumbai but ever time they made false promises of sending account statement.

                  On 3rd of ever month I use to get phone calls, were they only ask for the amounts of different heads. Never they have asked for the principal amount, even they do not inform the balance debit amount. Initially we paid the amount when ever the asked for it, but they have never sent the account statement. Finally in the month of Nov 2007, I decided to cancel my card for which I asked for my final account. They told me that the card will be cancelled after the debit amount of Rs 780/- will be cleared. On their request I paid the amount in the month of Dec-2007.

                  I was shocked when again I received a phone call in the month of Jan 2008, asking for the balance amount, sir here I want to draw your kind attention on following details:-

                  Sir, now they are demanding for Rs 14, 000/-, the payment was done in time and on their request, how a balance amount of Rs 495/- has become Rs 14, 000/- . I even talk to a senior person in New Delhi and asked for the statement. Sir, you too will be shocked to know that the card was issued in Jan 2007 and the statement sent to me is from 3RD Jan 2004.According to the statement ever month they are charging Rs 600/- in different heads, I want to ask that from whom the got the permission to charge for so called insurance charges, finance charges, administration charges and so on.

                  Sir they are harassing me by making calls in odd timings plus they are sending sms which read as “YOUR STATEMENT DT 10 DEC 2008 HAS BEEN DISPACHED TOTAL O/S AMOUNT OF RS 14288-78 OR MINIMUM AMOUNT OF RS 3988-35 IS PAYABLE. Never they posted the statements.

                  Recently I have received a lawyer notice for the balance payment, the notice was received by my mother, she is the patient of sugar & blood pressure, after knowing about the notice she became upset and was uncomfortable for one week. What kind of harassment they are giving to me. Last week I received a call person introduce himself as a lawyer from Bandra Court and informed me that SBI has registered a case, hearing this my mother fainted and she was admitted to the hospital.

                  Sir, through this letter I request you to please register a case, of harassment against STATE BANK OF INDIA and if I lose my mother I am not going to spare them at any cost. I am planning to give this case to media too, so that people should know about the facts. Now I have understood why everyday I get number of calls from different banks regarding credit cards.

                  Sir, please help me, in bring me out of this WELL PLANNED FRAUD SYSTEM OF CREDIT – CARDS.

                    With reference to your statements, i wish to inform that my payments due date is last day of the month or first day of subsequent month, accordingly i am regularly paying the dues. But you are charging Rs:392.84 as Late Fee every month. That itself accumulated a huge amount till now, please verify and made reversal for the said late fee.

                    Further i wish to state that every month you charging interest charges for purchases, but i have not made any purchase by using the SBI card the interest amount itself also accumulated as a huge amount. I request you to please verify and made reversals for the same.

                    I am a SBI Life Time Free Credit Card Holder, holding the card for the Past 5 Years and you have not collected any Annual Fee from me, i don't know why you are charged me the Annual Fee Rs:841.30
                    at time of joining in form itself you mentioned free Annual fee. So, i request you to please verify your previous records and made necessary reversals entries.

                    Also you have charged a sum of Rs:1867.70 towards "Cheque No:645386 unpaid Mis-Posting Dr". This also a wrong entry made in your statement dated 11.12.06. Please verify and made sufficient reversal entries.

                    And i also want to state that i am a Retired Government Gazated Rank Officer. Everyday i am getting phone calls from SBI Credit Card Agencies peoples talking indicipline and using wrong word and also the same agency peoples coming and disturbing me weekly once. Keeping all mistakes in your side, and disturbing me for past 1 and 1/2 years this makes my health physicaly & Mentaly weakining and also you should remember i am a SENIOR CITIZEN, because of you i am not able to concentrate my regular activities.

                    Also i am not willing to continue as a SBI CARD Holder further and please cancel my card No:

                          I am a customer of SBI nawada branch, bihar and my account no-is [protected].I have a savings account in this branch.ON 0ct 28, 2007 i went to withdraw cash of Rs 4000 from SBI ATM of nawada home branch.The ATM machine niether delivered me cash and produced incorrect transaction slip, and account debited . i have already submitted application with brochuer in the home branch at the next day of transaction.

                          Fact - I had obtained a cash advance on the basis of information given by your executive that there prepayment charges will not be charged to me if I make the early payment of my cash advance before maturity date. Your executive said that this is an exclusive benefit of going for cash advance with SBI which no other bank is offering. On the basis of his verbal commitment I went for your proposal & got Cash advance. Subsequently when I decided to repay the full amount in 2 months I was told by another executive that I will have to pay the foreclosure fees. I had an argument with your executive on the basis of earlier commitment given by you executive & then she confirmed that those charges will be reversed in next statement but before that I will have to make payment of the same. On the basis of her confirmation I made the full payment in Dec-08 along with foreclosure fees but I found in next month's statement that the charges were not reversed. Again I enquired with your call centre where I got the reply that those charges will be reversed in 48 hours which again not happened. Again I enquired with your call centre where I got the reply that it will be reversed immediately & I can verify it in 2 working days. But again as usual there was no reply/response from your call centre.
                          Again I called up at your call centre on 09/02/09 at 12.45 pm to ask about the reversal & that time another executive said that one Ms. Preeti who was looking after this transaction is on leave & she will call me back in 48 hours & that charges will be reversed. But again I am very sorry to say that I had not received any call from anybody. Again I called up after 3 days to remind your call centre about the same & that time one gentleman said that those charges are surely going to be reversed in next 48 hours & I can check it on 14th of Feb, 09 in my a/c. But today on 18/02/09 when I saw my a/c, the credit I not yet reflecting. Most of the time when I call up at your call centre your executive keeps me on hold & after that either the call gets disconnected or I have to disconnect it as there is no reply from your side.

                          I am disappointed by the service of your credit card company & wish to inform you that if I don't get the immediate credit in my a/c then I don't have any choice but to go to consumer forum & media for giving me this kind of service.

Since then I have applied five time though the branch for a new ATM pin but still not received it. The Bank Manager is also helpless as he has applied for it 5 times but has not received. This is height of patience, please do something.

                              I have account with SBI branch in Coimbatore. I have deposited cash into my account in another branch in coimbatore. Both the braches are belongs to Coimbatore only. But Rs. 25 has been charged to my account as "Intercity Charges".
                              When I enquired about this with the bank, they responded that, I can deposit cash into my account only in my home branch. If I deposit in any other branch even inside the city, Rs.25 will be charged minimal.

                              Charging transaction fee, even for Cash deposit in another branch in the same city is not acceptable for any customer.

                              I have account with SBI branch in KG Marg, New Delhi. I have deposited cash into my account at AIIMS, Ansari Nagar Branch which also in New Delhi only.

                              But later while chaeking online my account balance I saw Rs. 25 had been dedcuted from my account as "Intercity Charges".

                              When I enquired about this with the bank, they responded that, I can deposit cash into my account only in my home branch without any charge but if I deposit in any other branch even inside the city or say one the other side of the road minimum Rs.25 will be charged.

                              Its an illogical charge which has been practiced by the SBI with malafide intension to make quick bucks.

                              A consumer/depositer desposits his hard earned cash amount to the bank which further utilsed by the same bank as money for other transactions. In such case the bank should be thankful to all depositers and specially those whose account is not there in that particular branch.


                              Through this web channel, i would request to concerned authorityi that pls look into matter and take a tough action against the malpracitces done by State Bank of India.

                              Charging transaction fee, even for Cash deposit in another branch in the same city is not acceptable for any customer.
                              Iam from Hyderabad, I had an Account in Sri Nagar Colony and another at Nizampet (Kukatpally)The embarassing thing is that I too had the same experience with our Nationalised Bank, even Rs.100 deposit in SBI reflecting a transaction fee of Rs.25, How could it be..?Hard Earned Money is missing in the pretext of service charge in a Nationalised Bank.what is the Use of opening an Account in a Nationalised Bank other than those Private Banks, which offer services only due to competition but not for service, RBI has to look into this issue to protect the interests of the people.
                              average balance ur charge is rs 200 min charge.but other bank canara bank is minimun rs 20 charge .pls reverse the charge

                                I am also facing the same PIN problem. I had received ATM card ( replacement of old Atm card) 45 days back. But till now I have not received the PIN. I had approched SBI Branch so many times but they are expressing their inability to solve the problem. I dont undertand why the PIN is not delivered inspite of recovery of Rs.200.00 for replacing the ATM Card. There should be penalty for late delivery, as the SBI follows for late payment of dues.

                                    I'm ADE BHANUDAS client of your STATE BANK OF INDIA (MUDFORT SECUNDERABAD.bank code is 7111i have given the application for ATM for the month of Nov'8 & received ATM card for the month of OCT 2009 .But still now I don't received the pin . my card no is[protected] & A/C No is [protected]. So pls. read the problem & solve as soon as possible.

                                    Sir. I applied for ATM card in the first week of October 2010 from S.B.I. Tezu. I received the ATM card in the first week of november 2010. But I have yet not received Pin against my ATM card no . .[protected]. You are requested to look into the matter and apprise me of the latest development in this regard at the E. mail given here .[protected]@gmail.com

                                    My wife Shashi Kshatriya, customer of SBI and holder of SB account No.[protected] standing at Mungeli branch(code 1144) in Chhatisgarh State applied for ATM-cum-debit card and accordingly he received the card bearing No.[protected] on May/10 by post against his above mentioned SB account but till date his PIN has not yet been reached in branch office. On being approached, the concerned bank authorities intimated that they have not received the PIN yet and also instructed to write to you for the PIN. SBI Mungeli branch(I would request you to look into and arrange despatch of PIN at the earliest.

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I have made full cheque payment of Rs.4240 /- for my credit card statement dt. 16.1.09 vide cheque No. 666032, dt. 23.1.2009 and cheque droped in credit card cheque box at SBI, Palm Beach Branch, Navi Mumbai-400 706. But till date cheque is not found and tresse and till date credit not given to me. I am personaly gone to the above said Bank. But no further information given to me by SBI Bank. Please I request you to find where is my cheque gone? If the my cheuqe is miplaced by Bank then Bank should be give me in writing letter, then I will issued fresh cheque. When I am paid bill before due date, why should I pay the delay charges or interest? And one more suggestiton that keep credit card cheque drop box at every ATM Centre. So we can paid easily payment. So, please tressed where is my cheque? And give me answer or inform me immediately after getting this complaint.
