I have also applied for a Home loan from SBI, Newtown Rajarhat Branch of SBI, Branch Code 5112 for acquisition of a flat at Baguiati, Kolkata some 8 months back. I have submitted every documents thrice to the branch. I have reminded for the 11 th time through mail to Branch Office, Customer Care, Chairman, SBI, I have Faxed it thrice, I have posted it twice my difficulties. I am a government official and is existing SBI customer for over 20 Years. I am an Income Tax payer for Rs 2.50 to 3.00 Lacs a year.Even SBI does not bother to intimate whether I should apply from some other bank. It is really unexpected behaviour from SBI

Inspite of my intimation after submission of all the documents time and again, my loan applied from SBI new town rajarhat branch br code 05112, Kolkata some 8 months back for Rs 12.50 lacs for acquisition of a flat at Baguiati, the loan is not sanctioned. Reminded to various banking authorities for 11 th time, faxed and sent by post. My difficulty is that I am an Honest Officer, for which I can challenge. I am having salary account in STATE BANK, TUTICORIN. My account no is [protected].During 04.07.09(saturday) i have tried to withdaw 4000 rupees from my ATM in TAMILNADU MERCANTILE BANK, ARUPPUKOTTAI. Very unfortunately that amount is debited in my account, but i am not recieved amount and receipt physically, due to ATM system problem.
I already gave the complaint letter to STATE BANK, TUTICORIN on 06.07.09(Monday) itself .but, still now my amount is not recredited.so, I kindly request you to recredit my amount as soon as possible to my account

I don't have any complaints. I don't want to complaint about anything or anyone. I just want to tell that my experiences with this "Largest of Bank India" are not good. 6 year back when I was in college I went to SBI main branch of Raipur to open my savings account. They told me to go to your nearest branch where you live and when I asked them please provide me address of my nearest branch. They said to find out yourself. I went to nearest branch of my area where I came to know that you need lots of proof for identification along with any relative account for witness. I was disappointed with tons of formalities although I had all these. My second experience happened 1 year back when I went to SBI Main Branch around 4:40 pm for depositing check to my relative's account where few people were working, I thought to ask a person sitting who seemed busy in his work. I said- "where can i deposit check", he was continuing doing his work. When I asked again he became angry and said- "Do you live in India?" I was puzzled what he's saying, then he said "bank is closed, don't you know" Again I was disappointed and gave back that check to my relative. My third experience happened recently when I had to pay challan for society registration. But I will call this incident my 'bad luck' because I had to go bank on saturday when it is half day for bank and it gets closed around 2 pm. Everyone knows here that bank employees comes around 11 or 11:30 am and you have hardly 3 hours to do your work. I went there joined the queue for about 1 and half hour and when my turn came system broke down due to link failure. Next three days were holidays...again I was disappointed and wondering "why we have to pay challan only in SBI". Sorry for being cynic but this is all true.

He was deposited in Tenali, Guntur(Dist), Andhra Pradesh at the same SBI Branch. But SBI deducted 40 Rs inter city charges. Sir i only want to enquire, is there any charges of depositing amount in same bank through other branch of SBI INDIA.

The State Bank of India country’s largest bank from will be charging service charges if you are sending money home using the State Bank of India’s network of over 10, 000 branches. Earlier bank was offering this service free to millions.

Bank sources said from now it will charge Rs 2 per Rs 1, 000, subject to a minimum Rs 25 per cash deposit, at a non-home branch. Non-home branches are used by depositors with accounts in other branches or banks. Earlier, cash deposit up to Rs 50, 000 at a non-home branch was free.

The bank has also lowered the upper limit beyond which customers will have to pay fees on inter-branch, inter-bank and inter-city services, resulting to an increase of overall cost to customers. Previously inter-city transaction up to Rs 50, 000 for cheques, clearing instruments and transfer of funds from home branch to a third-party account of another branch was free. Now the bank has reduced the upper limit to Rs 20, 000, beyond which a fee will be charged.

Moreover, customers getting their passbook updated at a branch other than their home branch will have to pay Rs 10 per pass book.

The move was decided even before the bank raised the interest rates and a circular has already been issued to all branches. In a circular to all branches, the bank has informed that the new service charge structure that will be effective from September 1.

Having rolled out core banking solutions (CBS) branches across the country, the bank is now aiming at levering it to rise up its fee-based income.

The bank has been charging collection and draft charges mainly, now a nominal transaction fee will continue.

I have an accout in SBI, Chennai.
even I deposited the money of Rs.500/. Five hundred. they are INTER CITY CHARGES for Rs.25/.
balance i will have only Rs.475/. only..
This is not good for middle class people. for depost money to bank accout. 25 rupees is not small...

If they are going to do like this. I will close the SBI account. and never i will not use this bank.

now the SBI is like ***** bank for making customers as begger.

Please SBI will tell me what's going on, which type of service they were providing to their customer.

The most renouned and robost banking system of India has started doing this, what can I say?

Whenever you transfer money through net banking or even when you deposit cash in some other branch of SBI they charge 25 Re or more for each transaction.

This is not good. AXIS and HDFC bank are not charging a single penny for this. I am going to stop all my transactions in my SBI account. Poor SBI.

i too faced the problem of deducting money as inter city charges . SBI is going to lose customer if this type of charges are not stoped. If anybody is depositing money i m going to lose money...I dont know which idot gave this idea, and how stupid our official are following it..i wont recommened others to open account in SBI...

I ahve my account at SBI Rehari colony Jammu and an amount of Rs.200 was deposited from Bhopal to my account. The Branch has deducted an amount of Rs. 25 as inter branch fee is it correct. Earlier if a person can deposit an amount upto Rs. 20000/ from one branch to another branch the bank was not charging any amount. Kindly clarify the same.

My official acconut is at SBI Rehari colony Jammu and due to bank holiday on wednesday an amount of Rs. 9000/ was deposited at SBI Kachichawani Jammu which falls in the city and SBI has deducted Rs. 25 as inter branch fee, is it correct.

Recently my client has deposited Rs4 lakh, and I got charged around Rs.600.
Such a hefty penalty without my knowledge for nothing.
I think they are charging 0.15% interest on the amount credited.

I deposited a crossed cheque given in HYDERABAD in my name to my account in another place in Andhra. Intercity charges were deducted. We all know it hardly takes any time to press a few keys for this transfer.We are saving SBI's time, stationery, labour, bookkeeping etc. and in fact bank should give the customer a concession for using the electronic transfer rather than collecting INTERCITY CHARGES. THE UNKINDEST CUT OF ALL IS I AM A PENSIONER AND WHEN MY PENSION GETS TRANSFERRED FROM MY PARENT (OLD) OFFICE, INTERCITY CHARGES ARE CUT. The bank should at least reverse all these charges deducted so far (from November I think) from all such pension accounts and stop doing this at least for PENSIONERS to start with. It is also inconsistent that NEFT has no charges for such small amounts!!

the same happened to me, thats for the deposit of 1000/- 25/- was deducted from my account which is unfare what kind of service this SBI is giving to middle class people, if every one starts closing their accounts, deposits may be rules changes. stupid rules stop this kind of rules ur bank has to provide good facilities by motivating customers .
i think ajenda made by chandrababu naidu in AP has created reserve bank to take these kind of steps this is another way where he can increase his deposits nothing nor government is taking right decisions
for the people.
India wil never develop if such kind of things happens, always a bigshot keeps on increasing deposits then whats life of a middle class people.
in many banks VIPS of that place wil nwver clear his debts bank wil not take any steps on them but they place these kind of stupid rules by lavying intercity charges if this continues SBI wanna close the bank and go home.

My friend had deposited 10, 000 from Bijapur and immediatley Rs 25 has been deducted from my account as inter city charges. The cash has been deposited through a SBI branch and Rs 25 has been debited immediately.

Any other banks dont have these charges, it makes no sense to debit the account in this case.

Bank account are maintained to carry on such transactions having a minimum balance and if such charges are deducted no one be interested to maintian accounts.

we transfer money to our supplier from SBI bengal branch to SBI mumbai branch as we and our supplier both have accounts in SBI. SBI charges @Rs. 1.5/1000 transferred. but if we do RTGS we have to pay only Rs.25. we cannot move to other bank due to distance and safety. earlier we wrote to branch manager and the letter was forwarded by him to head office regarding this unjustice that intra bank fund transfer charges are higher than inter bank fund transfer charges. ON may 19 RBI governor also raised this question and asked bank to lower charges, but no action has been taken so far.

I have two accounts, one in SBI and one in Central bank of india.
I loose my money every time in SBI, when i deposit it from another branch of SBI.
I did that in Central bank, but there was no deduction. Now I deposit all my money in central bank only. I am thinking about closing my account in SBI.
I think the Core banking is to make customers job easy. But SBI is doing the Oppsite.

SBI — ATM transaction inconsistency

Sir,
I'm an customer of SBI-HCU branch in Hyderabad. I posted a written complaint regarding malfunction of ATM in SBI-HCU branch. The complaint contains details of my account and date of the malfunction of ATM where Rs.500/- had deducted from my account even though they went back as they folded. The person who received my complaint said the ATM had troubled other people on the day and got complaints from them so they said it takes 2 to 3 days of time.
Till Now I haven't get any response from them regarding the issue. So please consider the issue and refund my amount as soon as possible.
I posted mail to SBI help line for the issue, they responded with the acknowledgement of complaint but not with the solution. After 10 days of my first mail, I sent one more mail, they replied "But the grievance of the customer was neither redressed nor the complainant advised of the status of the complaint. We forward again the mail received from the customer for your immediate personal attention".
Its already 15 days passed for which work to be taken in 2-3 days. Is it No.1 banking company in India? Why ATMs if we lose money for it? We are not making money as tree makes leaves!
I'm expecting the result from atleast this complaint. And wish the bank will serve the nation such that nation develop.

i hold a SBI account with Sarjapur Branch.i created this account on 20-Nov 2008 by depositing 1000 Rupees. i later got a Cheque book and ATM card for the same.i later thought to draw 100 rupees using the ATM card,to check whether my ATM card is funcitoning or not,i never knew that every quarter the bank is deducting 200 and now i have lost 600 Rupees in a span of just nine months. i have today deposited 9000 rupees in my account.will i get the 600 rupees back to my account.All my details(including address,telephone number ) is with SBI bank ,can't they intimate me in any medium,so that i am aware of this deduction.
Please let me know,whether my 600 rupees will be creditted back to my SBI account.

My Relatives deposited amount Rs. 50, 000 in to my account from Gadwal Branch by two members each Rs. 25, 000 .But SBI deducted Rs. 100 Rs inter city (Rs. 50 for 25000). I want to enquire, is there any charges of depositing amount in same bank through other branch of SBI INDIA & let you know even Axis Bank & HDFC Banks have not been followingup this type of Procedure.

The rule is rule for everyone, it is not fair that one bank charge from public & some other bank not charging for the same. It is against the law. to keep all thing in view RBI should have made strict & affective guidelines so that no bank can create his own rule. this concept of intercity or inter branch within the same city should not be a acceptable. because mostly all the banks know are connected with Core Banking System in which all data are centralized. There is no such irritation which a bank cause for which they are charging unnecessary.

I agree to most of the complains registered here, especially the issue of inter-city charges.

I had to deposit 40, 000 cash (all 500 notes)
To my surprise, The front office staff at Kandivali east, lokhandwala seemed to be not knowledgeable of the identification of 500Rs notes and procedures.
They didnt even have the automated equipments which today every bank has.
And on top of that the most shocking was - when approached the bank manager, he insisted to deposit amount in Kandivali west (main branch) as he was not sure of his manual check verification of 500 notes.
I spent around 2 hrs in bank - and was real harresment.
Can never think of SBI when it comes to reliablilty or fast service.

i am prasanna. an SBI account holder at chidambaram branch ( Tamil nadu).my Account no is [protected].
Am also using Mobile Banking Facility Of that Bank. ON 4th Feb 2011 i transferred Rs.,5400 to a Karur Vysya Bank Account Holder. his account number of that bank is [protected]. the IFSC code of that bank's branch is KVBL0001267. the money has been taken from my account and i receive a transaction id message also.The transaction id is[protected]. today is 11th February 2011, still the money is not getting transferred to that account. please take necessary action to transfer money to that account or at least return back my money into my SBI account. please make the action as soon as possible. it is urgent.

I did my first transaction in sbi and i have been charged 33 rs for inter city charges from SBI. I didn't see such kind of charges from other banks. This is really pathetic service providing by SBI. Now on words i don't want to do any single transaction from sbi a/c. I really want to suggest to avoid use of sbi service.

I have a savings account in SBI, Anna University. An amount of Rs. 3336 was deposited at Madras University Branch of SBI and the bank deducted Rs. 25 as intercity charges. As many others I am also expressing my anguish over this and I am seriously thinking of closing the account

This is Debajay G. my account is with SBI (Industrial Estate, Branch - Visakahpatnam) Account #[protected]. On 8the May, 2012 I deposited 20, 000/- in to my account with Seetamdhara Branch. But SBI has deducted Rs. 40 as inter branch fee for the transaction.

Being such a standard organization in Banking industry, I don't understand why SBI deal with such cheap tricks. I want to remind once again that "I am depositing for the same Bank with different branch in same city" I think it will hardly cost your employees for doing all this transaction through Internet service.

You guys are forgetting that your customer is your back bone for your banking industry, if there is no customer - no business...!!!

Concentrate regarding to this (inter branch fee) issue and bring your focus on it ASAP and let your customers get satisfied with all your given services.

Sir, i have an account in Nambur (Guntur dist) SBI Branch and my friend transferred Rs 7000 through online from hyderabad Branch. An amount of Rs 56 was deducted as "INTER BRCH FEE". I want to know about this inter branch fee and at what rate amount will be deducted under this service.

I am SANJAY VYAS from JODHPUR. I have my account in U.I.T. SBI Branch. I have deposited Rs.3000 in account through cash deposite slip in SBI HIGH COURT CAMPUS BRANCH . Bank has debited Rs.25 from my account. I am surprise to that. SBI HIGH COURT CAMPUS BRANCH deducted Rs 25/- from my account as a inter city charges as my bank(U.I.T. SBI Branch) falls under same district of Jodhpur (both banks only 04km away from each other).

I asked to RBI that in the same bank this is fair that bank charged this type bank charges ?

I'm Vaishali, an SBI account holder.I have deposited cash of Rs 12000 from a SBI branch of Bangalore to my Home branch which is Bhopal and they have deducted Rs 25 as Inter branch fees. I want to know even though I did my transaction from SBI to SBI why they deducted the money and on what basis. I want a clear explanation of it. I want to know is there any rule like this. Its not good this bank which has got so many customers who believe in them is doing like this. Its very disgraceful.. :(

I have account with SBI for past one yr in Ambattur, Chennai. I opened this account to just have an account in nationalised bank. However, I use to do some transactions with this account in case o[censored]rgent need.

First time, I noticed they have charged Rs.50 for intercity charges where my friend deposited only Rs.2000 from coimbatore.I thought it might be due to different city.

Recently I noticed that another friend of mine from same Chennai city deposited Rs.2000 and same Rs.50 was charged in my account.

I got fed up and went to my home branch to enquire on the same.I met the chief manager R. Mohan, (in any annoying manner) this is rule for the entire India and because of you one person we cannot change these rules.

I also asked, if so, charges are applied, why are the bankers not collecting it from the depositer(stating: how it's done while doing online transfer Rs.2.50 charges from the depositer) and not even informing the depositers about this.

he replied, "if you want, you must come to home branch for deposit or tell your friend to deposit extra Rs.50.

I'm totally disappointed with his words, he didn't even consider my words as customer suggestion or so.

When the government says, Rs.20-25 is enough for a citizen's per day expense. Then it seems SBI is collecting2 days expense of a Indian citizen as cash deposit charges.

Someone from RBI should have control on this.

There should be no charges for deposit in same state or at least for a minimum amount. No where in the world a commercial bank for common people does Horrible things like this.

Even I deposited money in gachibowli of 3000 to my branch in gudlavalleru.It got 50rs cut as intercity charges.Bank has to intimate these things to us.

The SBI is said to be the best bank ever in india but the my money sucking facility of SBI will spoil the poor and middle class family.if a daily wager incomes Rs.100 for one day then if he sends money to his home after depositing their family will get Rs.50. I tryied to withdraw money from ATM of PNB, Mohaiya(Kaimur) Bihar branch but I DID NOT GET THE MONEY.the ammount was 8000/- with A/C-[protected] SBI, Boring Road Patna, Bihar.The day I tried this was 11Jun2009 17:57 with ATM id-D1269600.

But have not received cheque book till date
On enquiring with them in mid of feburary they told it has been send by post and we will be receving it within next 3 days but nothing such happened till first week of march
Then we contacted them once again they suggested us to wait for few more days, this continued for another 20 days .
Then on calling them in the second last week of march we were informed that no request for cheque book has been places in the system, hence the request will be generated and we will be receiving the chque book within 7 day .
Now you see it again its more than 10 day but we have have not received the same.


How can we manage like this

We have already deposited 5, 10, 000 in the account which we are unable to utilize in our business

We thank you for the interest shown in our organization. You may try in the subsequent recruitments ."



Hon` Sir, I have laboured a lot for getting through this prestigious competitive examination. Don`t you think this is an orthodex way to declare the prestigious result. Do you not feel that it is really heart-breaking for an unemployed young man to realize that all the sweat and toil have spoiled. In my view that all the candidated who have taken the exam should have the right to know about cut off marks and marks they obtained in each subjects sofar.



Mere three lines suggesting that go and prepare for next exam is ab[censored]ely rediculous. How can one should know where he lapse in the exam and what are ones weak points. Do all the candidated really deserve for that? Being a reputed govt. body do you not think that candidate like me should be entertain in well manner. Hon`ble Sir, I never dreamed during this hustle-bustle that all I would get will be three lines of not being selected.



If you are thinking that it is not possible to provide the marks to whole the candidated; it is just a myth. In today`s scenario when Information technologies are so advanced, it is quite possible to provide marksheet to each candidates. Although your body is quite efficient and advanced as it is providing admission cards to all the candidates.



All my aforesaid views are not only relating to me but also all other candidates who are suffering by this mechanism of shorting out the eligible candidates.

Complain regarding online Fund transfer
On 2nd July 2009 I did an online transfer of Rs 5000 from my ICICI account[protected] to my SBI account[protected]. The amount got debited from ICICI account the same day but it never reached my SBI saving account & after several follow up visits to both ICICI & SBI branches the amount still not got credited back to my SBI account.

On 21th February, 2009. A rep of SBI came to my office( BHEL Rainpet) and took filled in application form for the credit card along with my salary slip copy and ration card copy. After two days there was a call for verification and an SMS with application no:, saying that i will be receving the card after 21 days.But till day i have not received the card nor any regret letter from your office.Hence i would like to know the position of my application.

Same issue as in the original post. I have been waiting for an update for almost a month now.

In the second week of November, 2009. A rep of SBI Credit Card came to my officeand took filled in application form for the credit card along with my salary slip copy and copy of card for identification. After few days there was a call for verification and an SMS with application no:[protected], saying that i will be receving the card after 15 days.Since there was no information even after 15 days contacted the helpline on 26.11.2009 and it was told that "we are unable to issue the card now and apply fresh after six months" . I could not get any reason for non issue of the card. I want to know the reason for the denial of the card and why I should again apply for the same after six months when my application is very well with the SBI. It is requested that the procedure may be changed to faciliatate the customer when the new generation banks are at the door steps for any customer facilitations. In this case even a message was not send . Please look into and response.
