Even after having an on time credit history from 2009 (The date i was issued sbi credit card) to june 2017, i and my family are being mentally harassed with threatening calls from sbi credit card department for not settling the fraudulent transactions/amount of rs. 46, 643.85 made from my sbi credit card on 29th april 2017.
On 29th april 2017 evening, i suddenly started getting many notification sms from sbi credit card about various random international transactions. I never got any otp message for any of them. I had immediately reported sbi credit card and chargeback dispute team at sbi about the fraud transactions. My card was immediately blocked. Even after blocking, i was getting many failed transaction attempts in various currencies at various random places.
My statement was generated on 22nd may 2017 in which there were 3 fraud transactions amounting rs. 44, 841.01. The description said that the transactions held in oklahoma in usa (Usd), kraków in poland (Gbp) and california in usa (Usd). There were also fc markup, st, sbc and kkc for these transactions amounting rs. 1802.84, which totals to rs. 46, 643.85 with fraud transactions. The transactions from statement are as follows:

There was another fraud transaction in the statement held in queensland in australia (In aud) according to the statement, but this was reversed in the statement itself. The details of this transaction is as follows:

I made a payment of rs. 29, 137 on 12th june 2017 towards expenses incurred by me and kept following up for the reversal of the remaining amount towards fraud transactions. The charge back dispute team said that they were not successful in reversing the fraud charges of rs. 46, 643.85 to my account. And since then, i have been pressurised, mentally harassed for close to an year now to settle the charges - which were not incurred by me. I have submitted email proofs to sbi about my communication with transaction dispute team but it has led to no result - i have been given false promises by sbi that the account will be settled by sbi, that i would no longer be bothered but nothing such has been done by sbi. Today, together with the late fees, financial charges and tax amounts - rs. 46, 643.85 has become rs. 74, 487.72 and i am being harassed to settle the charges immediately.
I have been continuously calling and mailing sbi ([protected]@sbicard.com, [protected]@sbicard.com and [protected]@sbicard.com) to settle these amounts and they have been giving me false hopes that it will be settled, but in reality they have sent recovery agents to my home many times and i had to explain them every time, they have called me many times and every time i had to explain them again, and recently they have started calling my parents, and spoke to them in very loud and rude way and threatened them about confiscating my passport and spoiling my credit history so that i never get any loan or credit card from any bank. They also called my sister and asked her about whereabouts. I have already broken down many times because of all this behaviour. Therefore, i am posting in the national consumer forum for justice. Sbi should reverse all the fraud charges, stop the harassment, clear any damage done to my cibil score, and apologise for their unprofessional behaviour.
This is utter unprofessionalism and injustice by sbi where they are appointing rowdy bullies to even call parents and threaten them for fraud transactions which should have been reversed by them immediately. I am wondering about justice, law and order situation in india. Is there any law to safeguard customer rights and dignities? Is there any law to prevent companies like sbi to harass its customers in anyway they feel like?
I and my family feel very sorry for law-less country india is becoming. Please help us by raising voice against these type of criminal activities and torture being done by companies like sbi.
