An account payee cheque dated 27/12/2017 amount rs.44, 000 was given by me to m/s a. K. Mode sale pvt. Ltd for payment. This was presented by the party in manik chowk branch, jhansi counter no.2 on 27/12/2017 for transfer. But the lady clerk on duty refused to accept my cheque. Railway station branch jhansi, where my account is existing, did also not accept the cheque. On enquiry mr. Rehani, branch manager informed that my account was blocked for adhaar details. He had also shown me on screen status, that was showing all kyc documents ok except adhaar details. It as also showing like remark "collect later" or something like that. That means the transaction could be made at that time. Thus the reason of refusing my cheque by sbi is not clear to me. I am writting to honourable fm because by this irresponsible act sbi i. E. Manik chowk branch, jhansi and railway station branch, jhansi, and above all, the top management of state bank of india has caused
Inconvenience to me. I am a retired railway officer, a senior citizen and an old customer of the bank. I had to run from here to there for no fault of mine and also no any deficiency in my account. Kindly take an exemplary action against defaulters and also kindly save others from such hardship.
