Sulekha.com — Cook appointed for home purpose

I am a doctor, working for a prestigious Medical institution in Chennai.
I appointed a cook 1 week back for my home usage, through Sulekha, through Mala Sampath Agency, Madambakkam, Chennai, ph: [protected], [protected].
Before we appointed her for the job, we had discussed all our requirements and the cook had agreed to comply with all our needs.
But on the second day of work, I noticed that she was physically unwell and on further probing, I came to understand that she has some serious unattended health/heart problems, that could make her unfit to take up such assignments.
Even the agency has been kept in dark about the cook's health issues.
When we probed her further, she decided to leave the job and go back home.
As we had spent much on her COVID test and Chest CT (which was agreed upon initially), I requested her to at least work for a few days until the agency finds a replacement, so that at least the initial expenditure cost has been adjusted.
She has also obliged and decided to stay back until Tuesday and formally get relieved.
The purpose of this message is to highlight the serious health condition that she is in now, which might endanger future recruiters if she falls ill.
I request you to educate all these agencies to do the basic evaluation and assessment before assigning jobs to them.
As she decided to leave the job within a weeks' time, and as the agency could not find an equivalent replacement, I am taking the help of other known persons to find another replacement. I have told the agency that it may not be possible for me to pay for the service that the cook has provided us so far, as we are already at a huge loss because of her ill health and inability to work.
Please discuss with the agency and do the needful.
