Swiggy — totally cold food

I ordered a mysore masala dosa today from singla dwarka through swiggy. I am a prime member. The delivery boy picked up my order as the food was prepared in just abt 5 to 7 minutes. The order was picked up as per the status in swiggy app. However the delivery boy status was still showing that he was still at singla even after 12 minutes. I called him and he told me that he has multiple orders and that he will take another 5 to 7 minutes to start from singla restaurant. Then he will deliver the order that he received after my order was prepared and thereafter he will bring my order.
That means that after picking up my order the food was getting cold for 12+7+10 (Travel time to 2nd order) + 5 minutes travel time to deliver to me = 34 minutes.

Swiggy telecaller says that it is company policy to take multiple orders for one delivery boy even if it means that the first customer order is delayed and he gets cold food as company wants that the delivery boy should make more money so that they remain motivated as there is shortage of staff...

Wow... I think we all genuine customers should boycott swiggy till the time they make a policy that one order per delivery boy.

Pls share my experience with your friends as much as possible.

Hello Sanjay, at times we implement batch order with the aim to save up on fuel and make our world a little greener while increasing the overall efficiency. That being said, we ensure only those orders are clubbed which do not deviate from the aforementioned ETA. That being said, if there were a delay in the said delivery, please write to us at [protected]@swiggy.in with your registered details & relevant order ID so that we can look into the issue and take corrective measures.

My friend the explanation you have given is a stereo type and seems like a big excuse for your faulty policy. You are certainly not trying to save the planet or make our planet greener by saving on fuel but in reality you are trying yo make more money both for you and your staff but at the expense of quality and service to your prime customer.

I[censored] want to make planet greener then make sure your staff only use electric vehicles but you will definately not do that.

So pls dont make stories and admit that your company policies are faulty and infact u should make sure that ur staf[censored]se only electric vehicles and also that one delivery boy should deliver only one order and yhat also asap so that we can enjoy hot food rather then food that was prepared 35 to 40 minutes before which will definately be a cold food.
