Talwalkars Fitness Solution Complaints & Reviews

Dear Talwalkars,
In month of September, 2010, I bought the membership of Talkwalkars Fitness center in Noida. When I went for the registration the front desk executive present there told me that if in future you change your place and could not continue the facility from there, your membership will get blocked for the rest of your membership period. I asked her twice and after getting the confirmation on this I chose to buy the membership.
Now, unfortunately, I had to change my residence from Noida to Gurgaon due to some personal issues. After that, I contacted the Manager there and after 2 reminders he said that your membership fees will not be refunded. Thats fine but I want them to stick to their commitment on blocking of my membership from October 2011. I have already made a complaint on your website but didn't get any response. One does not expect this kind o[censored]nprofessional behavior from such a big and famous firm.
I am really annoyed with the services from Talwalkars as they are not clear with their policies and changed them without any prior information. The person who is serving the customer does not clear the condition and it is only the member who suffers.

Here, I am not asking for the refund but I request to the Talwalkars, please look into this and block my membership from October 2010. So that I can avail my rest of the membership period later sometime.

I am writing to complain about Talwalkars fitness centre located at JP nagar I joined the club because of its brand name, credibility , saying it was the largest fitness centre in Bangalore with first-class facilities and professional trainers , however, I was extremely disappointed to find that it did not live up to its promises.

First, the trainers has not attended at all through out my one year membership, it was only about the brand name nothing else I get out of it. The lack of attention by the trainers seriously upset me and I ended up wasting most of my time and money for the stupid fitness centre.

Equally disappointing was the personal attention by trainers Instead of being first-class, they were poor and inadequate and not at all responsible especially for male club members, most of the time they were busy flirting with female club members , in my entire whole year of member ship no one checked my diet, fitness index not even single person instructed me how to use equipments , I have joined the fitness centre with lots of expectations to improve my deformity of my right leg caused by birth.

They have not instructed me on usage of some basic fitness facilities such as treadmills and rowing machines and cycling machines.

My last complaint concerns the “professional” trainers. When I consulted one of the trainers about how to improve my right leg muscles they gave us one exercise card after begging them so many times and the sad part is no one neither reviewed my chart nor instructed, he told me bluntly that I have to practice for a week, He then recommended I should join a fitness programmer which cost over 10,000 per quarter. When I said I needed time to think about it, he scorned me and turned away. I felt deeply humiliated.

I hope the club would stop placing misleading advertisement and take immediate actions to improve the situation.

I am writing this mail as a challenge if they prove me wrong any of above points, along with me three of my cousins also joined they equally upset for the same reasons.

Before joining the fitness club they gave rosy pictures about personal body building, personal attention by trainers but reality is all trainers are employed for Female club members and also busy flirting with them.

I deeply regret for joining in such useless fitness centre and wasting my precious time and valuable money.

One good thing about Talwalkars is it’s an amazing place for girls because all the personal trainers will only attend them, I hope management will look in to this seriously and can prevent damage control further.

I also know this mail cannot make any sense to the management writing such a big mail.

I am a member of Talwalkar's Baroda branch since one & a half year.I use "pully chest cable fly" machine for my chest workout & it has been damaged since 6 months and the staff at the gym did not take any initiative to replace its parts(cable).After so many complains from other members they managed to get duplicate cable from local Manufacturer but it always breaks within a week.I had pain in my right chest for about 6-7 days because the cable broke.They are not ready to spend 3000rs & get an original cable from its suppler "Life Fitness ltd".Instead the staff gives fake reasons that cable is not available in India.i confirmed with the supplier's office in Delhi and they said that the cable is available.

Appalling, Awful, Lousy, Atrocious, Stressful, Horrid, etc... Ooops! Sorry, by now you must be thinking I am writing a list of adjectives, I mean negative adjectives. I certainly am not doing exactly that. These words are showing my displeasure towards a "FITNESS CENTRE", yes that’s exactly what they call themselves. You may have guessed the name right regardless of whether you have been to a gym or not, it’s TALWALKARS. They count themselves among the best of the lot, when they are miles away even from knowing the meaning of BEST. This is about the Nerul branch of Talwalkars.
Interested? Please read on and be aware like we say "BE AWARE OF DOGS". The gym provides a decent set of facilities though some at the cost of one's physical & mental inconvenience. Do anything you want but don’t ever use the massage facility at the Nerul branch. The female masseuse massages your body oh so well that you come out feeling no different from what you have felt before. When one takes a massage, firstly it’s to relieve aching muscles, for which one needs to put pressure at the right points on the body. When the masseuse massages your body, they have no pressure; forget that it feels they have no life. For the 45 minutes that they massage you, it feels as if someone is touching you as if they just want to feel your skin. Secondly, never go for the first massage in the morning, you will not only have to wait for long for the masseuse to come, but at times she may never arrive. It feels like as if she is doing the customer a favor by coming to the gym.
One always wants to start every new day on a good note. Going to this gym doesn’t let you do exactly that. You come out being frustrated either about the quality of the massage or the wait that you have been through. This is pure agony & leads to a point of frustration since you wake up in the morning solely for a massage & it doesn’t take place. I have been through this & it only puts you through physical inconvenience due to the break in your sleep since you may be determined to reach on time. Secondly, the wait will put you through enough mental torture to spoil the start of a great day. The massage facility s***s big time.
The management turns a deaf ear to the customer's woes & is totally unsuccessful in appointing a new masseuse or else they are too ignorant & lazy to find another one who may want to work with them. Talwalkars, Nerul branch, talk of themselves so highly; they should first check their credibility in the area, rather than falling flat on their faces.
