On Jan 2025, We took assisted Gold package. And on Feb 2025 it was downgraded to free member without our consent even after paying 20k. They didn't initiate any refund. I did mention to the assisted service manager to keep the services as it is till the marriage date except assisted manager feature as it might impact them. But they downgraded to free member and I am not getting any possible solution/response even after contacting customer...

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Tamil Matrimony for gross negligence in protecting user data, allowing scammers to create fake profiles, and failing to ensure a secure environment for genuine users seeking matrimonial alliances. As a result of Tamil Matrimony's inadequate verification measures and failure to protect customer information, I have suffered severe financial losses and emotional distress.

Incident Overview:

I registered on Tamil Matrimony to find a genuine life partner. Unfortunately, the site failed to protect my sensitive information, which led to a scammer using the platform to gain access to my personal details and subsequently exploit my trust. This individual, using the name Niroshini, approached me and eventually convinced me to make significant financial transactions, claiming false pretenses and utilizing a fraudulent cryptocurrency investment platform.

Issues Identified:

1. Data Breach: My personal details, including contact information, were accessed and misused by scammers. The lack of a robust security mechanism enabled fake profiles to be created and remain undetected on the site.

2. Unreliable Verification Process: Tamil Matrimony allowed the creation of multiple fake profiles without verification of identity, leading to misuse of the platform by scammers targeting innocent users.

3. Negligence in Monitoring and Action: Despite reporting the fake profiles and suspicious activities, no effective actions were taken by Tamil Matrimony to remove the fraudulent accounts or provide a secure environment.

Request for Immediate Action:

1. Immediate Closure of Tamil Matrimony Website until security measures are strengthened and all fake profiles are purged.

2. Detailed Investigation into the fake profiles and fraudulent activities being carried out using the platform.

3. Compensation for the financial losses incurred due to the lack of security measures.

4. Public Apology and assurance to improve the site’s safety protocols.

5. Assistance with Legal Actions against the individuals involved in scamming me through the platform.

    Assisted service Tamil matrimony

    I took Assisted Membership on 24 February 2024 and had been assigned a manager on 25 February 2024.After 2 weeks of enjoying the Assisted service i understood that either i am only getting the profiles mostly i had contacted already or the profiles that i had rejected already.     They are really worst, fake promise and they are trying to loot money.
    Even the profile they are sending maximum are fake, service they always advice no response and fake profile.

        I have faced an issue that Tamil matrimony website were not allowing me to view the history of profile contact. Initially I have applied for premium paid package and have viewed few of the profile contacts but once my package expired am not allowed to view again the same profile contact and also not getting a proper response or justification from the customer service.

          Dear Sir,
          Please refer my earlier Ticket number BM2877129 and BM28779929. (complaint raised using help desk) Though I raised the complaint on[protected], it has not been answered yet.

          I have been a loyal member with Bharat matrimony with my two ids : E5628446 and M7643497 for the last three years. I took a 3 months package on 1st May and my expiry date was displayed as 30 July 2023. We were planning to take a few numbers on[protected] remaining numbers were left.) Even when we took a number on[protected] it showed expiry as 30th july. But on[protected], my membership was auto renewed. I requested to cancel this auto renewal at 11.15 with a customer care executive. This was promptly done by the executive. She also confirmed that our current membership expires only on[protected]. After this, when we checked the system said that our paid membership expires[protected]. But when we try to take a few numbers at 4pm on[protected], I am unable to take the number.
          When I checked with your customer care executives, everyone was telling a different story. One person was telling me that it is for 90 days and it expired on (29th July). Another says it expired at 10 AM today (30th July). Another one was telling that expires on[protected] means it expires at 00.00hrs of[protected]. The last executive says that as I have taken the membership at 3.55 pm it expired at 3.55 pm. The system always told that our membership expires on[protected], not any time. The executives asked us to contact helpdesk through mail. This kind of treatment is very unfair with a loyal customer with you for three years, as they know very well that this is an issue has to be resolved within a timeframe. Though I raised the complaint through helpdesk on[protected], so far I have not got any response from your side till date[protected].
          Please note that your system showed us whenever we took a number, that our membership expires on 30th July 2023. It never said about time. Therefore it is natural that the customers think it is till end of 30th July, ie., 11.59 pm on 30th July 2023. This was our experience earlier also.

          Therefore I redquest you the following:

          As the system showed that our membership expires on[protected], and it did not permit us to take the allowed numbers on[protected],
          permit us to take a few numbers (I had eligibility to take 14 phone numbers that time) which we planned to take with a one day limit,

              I paid assisted matrimony for. Above profile no mda339168 & M2254826, but phone no i view only in mudaliyar matrimony only, But i Tamil matrimony--- it shows ur in Gold membership. --- so ur not eligible ur view phone number ------ I told to my manger Aravind --- he saws the problem is nothing ---for last 45 DAYS----so lz rectify the Tamil matrimony from gold membership to assisted, ----- and extended the days which I lost.               I am forced to issue the present notice to your good self in furtherance of our conversations that we had earlier through messages and calls on mobile with respect to my claim for a refund of Rs. 38, 756/-, which I had paid through GPay on the 8th June, for which you had also given your consent to repay the same by 23rd or 24th June 2023. However, till date, there is no further response or written confirmation from your side despite my several calls and WhatsApp messages with regard to the same, due to which I am facing severe stress and hardship.
              I am therefore constrained to state to you that if I do not receive the amount of Rs. 38, 756/- or written consent from you to the above regard before the 28th of this month, I have decided to seek legal assistance through my advocate to initiate appropriate legal proceedings, for the refund along with the compensation towards loss of time and mental torture before the Consumer Forum.

                Hi, I have been using Tamil matrimony(Bharat Matrimony service), Divorce matrimony and one another community matrimony service for quite long time
                1) The Tamil matrimony do have invalid phone numbers: After buying the subscription, users are allowed to contact one another. There are some profile for which the phone numbers are invalid for which Tamil matrimony service won't give replacement . After buying subscription the customer care people won't even care to pick the call of the customers who are in need of assistance. There are few profile in India with `8 digit mobile numbers with Mobile verified tag corresponding to the profile
                2) The customer care people famously called as offer team used to call the customers randomly and won't even say a "HELLO", The offer team who called will disconnect the call also . Don't know for what reason the offer team are playing such kind of game with customer(s) if offer team don't wish to talk to customers but they call alone and disconnect
                3)Tamil matrimony service actually are not discounting the subscribed cost on request . rather tamil matrimony service give all sorts of other feature which are extremely unnecessary. Like profile highlighter, extra number count, dedicated customer service for prime membership but the customer care people won't be answering the phone
                4) In case of wrong number or invalid numbers these tamil matrimony would have furnished that they will replace the count of lost number which is a damn utter lie

                  my name is Vengedash murungan bearing an account in Tamil matrimony with ID no: M8197727, i have been offered with offers and discount to subscribe premium plan through chat and mail, as per the mail received from the personal of Tamil matrimony my refund has to be received within 5 days, but its been 46 days i still didn't receive my refund.

                  After i sent a mail to Tamil matrimony helpdesk on 11-Aug-2022, i received an reply on 10-aug-2022 mentioning that i will recieve the refund within 10 working days, yet still i didnt recieved the refund,

                  i have sent 3 reminders after that and still didnt get an reply.

                    My wife created an account in Tamil Matrimony for my brother in law. We were contacted by the Tamil Matrimony in the phone. They mentioned there is a special offer. "If you subscribe for 3 months Prime in Tamil Matrimony you will get same type of subscription in Thevar Matrimony."

                    Date of subscription/Payment date: 12th Aug

                    The Tamil Matrimony account is subscribed after the payment but Thevar Matrimony account is not subscribed. We called the customer care. They mentioned it will be processed with in 48 hours.

                    The account is not activated after that 48 hours. We called the support team, they mentioned they created a ticket(#BM[protected] and will be solved with in 18th Aug.
                    On 18th, we again asked the support team, they mentioned it will be activated with in an hour.
                    Again today we asked the support team, they said with in 24th Aug, it will be activated. I could not digest this delay. I asked them a email confirmation of my ticket. They neglected sending any emails. They provided only a ticket number(#[protected] alone !!Again!!.

                    Desirable resolution : They have to activate the Thevar matrimony account without any delays or they have to refund half of my payment for subscription.

                    It's been more than 10 days now. But when I called Tamil matrimony they said will are checking only. One person said will be resolved in 1 hour. Other one said will be solved before 30th Aug and gave me another ticket number!!!. I lost all my hope . Tamil matrimony is running a very poor show in managing consumer complaints. They are eager to get new customers, they will call everyday till you subscribe after that they will only raise ticket and give false hope everytime. They have consuming consumer's time and money.

                      Mailing to you regarding a misguided by a representative of Tamil matrimony. I have been convinced to pay the amount for 3 months Prime gold membership package and been asked to give my matrimony id. I paid on 15th August 2022. They didn't confirm the receipt of my money as well they didn't activate the scheme . My bankers told the payment was successful. I'm not satisfied with the service. I've been asked to share transaction details to this mail [protected]@bharatmatrimony.com . They didn't give any reply and they didn't activate the scheme.

                        I have created profile for my brother ID M9001832. I have subscribed to PRIME subscription for tamil matrimony from[protected]Price - Rs.5782). But from the day of subscription there are only few profiles are showing. I have personally visited coimbatore matrimony branch on[protected] to hear about the issue. They ask me to edit some preference change in their app.( I have attached screenshot that only few profiles are came by edit preference change) But no use. They dont have any access to solve the problem. They ask me to call customer care.

                        Called customer care 5 times last week alone from my registered mobile number. They ask me to send mail regarding change my subscription to my community based tamil matrimony. They ask me to do change that preference, this preference in app. I am totally dissatified with their great service. i have send mail regarding this. The SR number is BM26797020 and BM26818464. There are so many difficulties(even after changed preference no profiles are showing) in using their tamil matrimony app from normal consumer point of view. They dont have solution too from their branch side and also from customer care side. I need refund.

                          Mailing to you regarding a misguided by a representative of matrimory. I have been convinced to pay the amount for 6 months gold membership package and been asked to give my matrimony id. I paid on 3rd May 2020. And also told that if I'm not satisfied with the service I can make a call and cancel within 15days without anY question they will cancel it.I have been told that u can view all castes in same matrimony by simply changing the filter condition. So I thought that I can view all the profiles and later checking on that I am not able to view all profiles so I told to customer care that I'm not able to view and they told that customer support team member will guide on this. But no one called and helped out. I raised complaint to customer support multiple times and simply they told they will help out. I told I'm not satisfied with the service and asked to cancel but no one helped to cancel. I have been misguided and made me to pay. This is a big amount for me. I am really worried on this.

                          I haven't views all the mobile number.Atleast they can make it to 3 months and refund the remaining amount. They are looting the money simply like anything. Team please helpe on this

                            Assisted Service-Cheating Service.

                            What they are providing is an cheating service. Nothing like they promised at the time of payment (Rs.16400/-). I'm just one of the victim of this piece of [censored] service. Everything that they told is a lie. My Relationship manager, if i see them in person, i may knock them out cold(Never given proper reply for what we are asking, Always rude).And the Manager is piece of [censored]. Noone actually helped me. It's waste of time and money. Hope somebody...

                            Hi Team,
                            This is my Matrimony id M6124355.

                            I have opted for 4 times as the member in Tamil matrimony/Vanniayar Matrimony .
                            The below are the issue or fraudulent activity handled by Tamil matrimony team to earn money.

                            Issue 1. Each and every time I have viewed contact numbers of few profile.
                            Whenever my package got expired those visited profile are also going to hidden they asked me renew again to revisit the mobile number.
                            (I have paid 10K for 6month subscription for those contacts but still they are hiding)

                            Issue 2.
                            The app is showing only 50 to 60 profile maximum those are getting recycled. Whenever the package is got expired they are show new profiles so that it asking us to purchase again to view for new profiles.

                            Issue 3
                            I could see so many fake profiles in the Tamil matrimony even they are doing the validations.
                            (when I check with the customer care they are asking me to take the prime membership to avoid those)
                            Why I need to purchase/renew my id, if profile are not properly validated at there end.

                            4. My profile validity expired yesterday.
                            When I try to view the matching profile everything is getting hidden.
                            Is that how you they will cheat the people to get the money out of them .
                            I have paid 50k for 4 subscriptions till now even they haven't shown any concerns on validity during the second wave.
                            They are hiding the already visited profile.

                            5. They are keep on calling during the expiry of the membership.
                            There is nothing has been done during 6 month of the membership period.

                            These are some basic issue i have highlighted, The company is moving completely to unethical way to earn money from the people.
                            Please take necessary action.

                            This is like a fraudulent behavior and cheating the people for your benefit.
