Meter is not working and marked as defective. Raised a complaint in TNEB Portal on 4th Feb and the reference number is [protected]. Still No action been taken on this.

Last three months, we have been charging with incorrect amount with the earlier bill amount and request to get this action out quickly.

    Dear sir/madam,

    I, b. S. Krishnamurthy, would like to lodge a complaint regarding my faulty electric meter. I got an excess bill for the last two months. I had checked my digital electric meter reading which is not showing the exact reading. I also submitted a complain letter on 22/05/2019 to tneb, mgr nagar, opp to sivan park, kkngar branch. Yet the action was not taken. I would request to check on the same and take the neccessary action.

      On 27th may, the staff from tneb - salem branch visited our home to note down the reading. After we checked the eb card, we noticed that, the reading was noted faulty and it is rupees 16, 350. This is too high than our usual billing. As we are from middle-class background, we can't afford this much eb bill. Kindly consider this request and please re-do the process to know the correct bill. Please note that, we have not added any extra home appliances from last 1 year and there is 0% chance that we have received this bill.

        complaining about eb line man

        We are residing in 89veppampattu. Often current gets shutdown for some areas due to some issues. But to solve this issue on behalf of lineman they collecting amount in each house. Line man is the main source to collect the huge amount. Line man name is ramu. He is asking darely that, give me the amount then i make ready the transformer.         We are facing a low voltage issue from many years and complained
        Many times.
        Now the voltage is too low. We are not able to use our electrical
        Appliances.

        If we tried to use they are not working or getting damaged. I
        Complained using https://www.tnebnet.org site. All the are people raised many complaints and there is no response. (Attached screenshots for compliant references)
        I need someone to verify and correct

          For last couple of months my area people facing power cut problems especially @ midnight like 11pm,. Even today may 28 2019, power has gone @ 11:25pm.
          Why this happening especially in midnight. Why making us in deep trouble??
          Are you working or #ing there???
          Don't get money without working, only higher officers are responsible for this, without maintain and getting salary is like eating cow dung in gold plate...
          Don't you know how it hurts if the power gone while you are entering into sleep???

              Dear sir,
              Am karunagran. K, an octagenrian living with my wife in sainathapuram. We are experiency frequent disruption of power off late after the chage of feeder from one thing to the other. Because of this only a few streets from first cross street to 5th cross street we are experiencing frequent disruption of power supply. Only these four streets are getting affected whereas all the other streets surrounding us are having regualr power supply.
              Especially at night we are getting power failures even till 1am.
              3 phase connections have a problem. Always one phase is on low volatge and one phase is power switched off leading all to very desparate situation.
              All these frequent power disruption is happening after the bifurcation of supply from muslim colony.
              Almost in our streets we all are aged people and having small kids who are suffering due to this power failure.
              Hope you can address our plight and look ito it.
              Even after numerous times of complaints made in eb deaprtment in sankaranpalaym office no response has been given or taken from je office.
              Please pursue the issue and resolve it as quick as possible. Thanks and regards

              Online SBI SB Ac mentions that "Transaction is successful & contact merchant"

              BBPS-OnlineSBI tells that "No Transaction found".

              TNEB website mentions that Transaction is "Not Approved by Bank".

                  No power in visuvasapuram near saravanampatti whole nights. The same thing happened 10 days back and power resumed after 13 hours (Overnight) after making multiple complaints to eb. This is becoming usual practice here and tneb does not provide a permananent solution here. We are regularly paying and debts and this is what we get it back from government and government organisations.

                    Daily we faced the current issues not only the summer... Per day minimum 2 time,
                    Suddenly cut the power everyday at any time and must at every night time.
                    Especially 3 phase gone suddenly everytime.
                    Today power cut at 11.30 still we didn't get the power (Time is 1.30am now).. I think 3 time today...
                    Many times we called and complaint but still no action and today they didn't attend the call also.
                    Kindly check and do the necessary action.

                        On 18th may 2019, rs 800 has been deducted from my account against my eb bill consumer number [protected] through net banking via tneb online payment portal. No bill generated and below pasted is my online transaction details of pnb

                        Again i have paid the payment through card payment via same portal and it has been reflected on tneb portal as paid. So please refund rs 800 deducted from pnb.

                          I have been charged eb for the month of may'19 for the units consumed 520 (Rs. 1912) along with that there is cc arrear charges of rs 2, 162 even though i have cleared all dues on time and there was no outstanding payments.

                          Could you please let me know on what basis it was calculated? And could you please revise cc arrear charges asap?

                            The tamilnadu electricity board, chennai south [madipakkam], the eb staff has not taken any consumption reading for the past 2 months, but it shows 'meter reading not available' suddenly last week its shows the last time amount which i already paid & the same needs to pay this time too. The remarks shows door locked,
                            This is untrue since no one visited my residence nor contacted my phone number, but simply has updated that door locked. Further, i have specifically given a requisition letter in writing to change my tariff as i have completed my new construction of house. The letter dated december, 2018. The letter was given as per the instruction of tneb authorities since they continued to charge me higher tariff of rs. 3000/- which was not applicable to me at all, as the house is not occupied and still lying vacant only. On getting the letter from me the tneb ae assured that there would not be any higher tariff for me thereafter, but in the month of february also they charged rs.3000/- for vacant house and this time also may month they have raised bill for rs. 3000/-. When i enquired in person, the ae said that nothing could be done and i have to pay. This is unfair..
                            Kindly look into this issue and resolve at the earliest as they may disconnect the service and my put me in hardship.

                            How it could be, because i am residing in tnhb qtrs, there is no lock/gate for such reasion. If i ask there is no proper responce, they ask me to pay the amount what ever its shows in online. This is not at all acceptable. Everybody says in my flats no body comes for taking the reading. Then how can i pay the money blindly without knowing the actual consumption. Tnhb needs to take such action immediately to avoid this concern to the customer.

                              I have bought a second hand flat and i am trying to do the name transfer, one of the employee asked 2000 rs for name transfer, is this really required this amount for name changing, i have my sale deed and last three months payment bill. Kindly do the needful. I am in perumbakkam and my eb office is in sithalapakkam. They are asking 2000 rs for name transfer, please take necessary action for this.

                                  I am facing more low voltage issues. My home all home appliances are affected due to low voltage even fan also not running properly. Some time fan running 5 rpm. Single phase induction motor not even started i checked the capacitor everything normal. I only getting 1.12kw i this is sufficient for daily usage of home appliances like fan, refrigerator, motor, inverter and tv.

                                    I have been charged to pay a sum of rs.20215/- over and above the bimonthly current consumption charges as noted in the bimonthly card) comsumer no. Being [protected]. Bimonthly cc charges are paid regularly before the due date. When enuired about the the excess billing, it is learnt that it is due to "misuse of tariff".in this connection, i have only single phase line and it is purely residential purposes only. Regarding the reason attributed for the excess billing, i have neither received any communication from the department regarding the "misuse" nor i wonder am i able to do so with a single phase residential line. This can be verified by you by deputing your technical staff to assess the position. At any point of time. Obviously a mistake might have crept in while computing the billing and i strongly feel the entry belongs to someolne else's account instead of mine. I therefore reuest you to kindly look into the matter and advise me for further course of action if any.
