Hello sir
I am new to chennai and i reside at choolaimedu. My owners house has old meter and not the digital one. When i asked him about the power bill he says we do not get the bill as they are old meters. He demands me to pay rs 7/- per unit without having the bill. I find him to be fishy. Can you help me on this asap. If he is literally looting me. What's is the way that i can fix it? Is their a way i can raise a complaint against him and see to it that he does not demand for more. Please help me i this regards.

On 3rd April, 2018 against EB consumer number [protected] in the name of S. Uma Shankar the bill amount of Rs.463/- (for the last 2 months) has been paid through IDBI internet. The bank statement shows that this amount of Rs.463/- is debited on 3rd April, 2018 whereas the TNEB portal shows the bill. Please confirm.
Sir, . This is to inform you that our EB unit is cross over 700 units we are residing in mogappair East No.5/197 Burner salai, 6 th block chennai-37.landmark(near PMR matric school)Eb no: 042.005.100astonished how this much o[censored]nit is reached without any air conditioner, air-cooler.kindly take an action and clarify that.
We stay in Parthasarathy Nagar, Adambakkam. It's been more than 4 hrs.. The power is not back yet, the local EB Number is always busy. When will the power resume?

This is to inform that on daily basis we are faceing power failure in the mid night at Vanuvampet Chennai.

We are trying the phone calls but there is not response.

    The electrical post nearby my house poses danger as it may collapse anytime.
    It is in a dangerous condition.There are children playing around this post and anytime it may invite danger if not replaced.

      Mari street, senthamil nagar, ramapuram chennai 600089.
      Regarding the street post,.
      The old post is in very dangerous stage (Last one) end of the street.
      They have fixed a new post last year and the connection has not been given yet.
      It's just standing nearby but the connection is still with the older one.

      Old post is very shaky and the iron rods are clearly visible and many times i have felt shock by touching it accidentally.

      Also request you to cut the trees in our street. Drumstick trees and its branches are touching the current line.
      Just request you to take an action or change before any this happens.

      Paid bill online but no receipt print and bill status is no paid . i paid 2 times bank debited that amount but no receive bill or amount
      Everyday post 10 there is no current. We are suffering with kids and elders like anything. No one from eb answer our calls.

      Just now we went to eb office there is whole lot of confusions going or der...people are protesting...no eb staffs are seem to present there...is anyone there to resolve these issues .
      Sir, I am lodging within a period of 2 days. I am living in vanuvampet palandi Amman kovil street, Chennai 91. From 29-mar-18 to till date there is unannounced power cut in our area.We have try to contact our local be board but no response.kindly look in to this and take a nessary step.

        Past 3 months, we have been facing problems with the power supply. It has been frequently fluctuating and many times. We needed a permanent solution immediately. Eb department service people has never given a permanent solution on this problem. They wanted to fix something temporarily and sometimes even ask for some tips or bribe.

        They have given some loop line to some of the shops here from our main supply box due to that there is been a heavy load on the main supply, it frequently getting fluctuated in voltage. 2 phase will be disconnected.

          Our office is located, in alwarpet, eldams square. Working hours 9 am to 6 pm, only sunday is a holiday. Our eb meter is conveniently placed outside the building only.

          As they have not taken the reading regularly, (8 months) we were not aware of this, this time a whole sum amount of rs.38335/- plus a penalty clause has been levied on us. Who will bear this exuberant amount?

          Henceforth in future, we request you to take the reading on a regular basis to avoid anxiety in payment.

          Please take necessary action on this.

          We have already given the same complaint about the meter reading vide letter dated 30.12.2017.

          Again we are facing the same problem. As they have not taken the meter reading
          Now an amount of rs.4356/- has been levied on us. It is very difficult for us to pay a lump sum amount like this.

          Would like to know what is the difficulty in taking the periodic readings in the meter.? Should i mark a copy of this letter to whomsoever you say.

          Please take necessary action on this.

            I reside at adambakkam, surendra nagar. Today the power went off at 9 pm and it's 12.35 am now, the power is still not on. I tried calling all the eb numbers, including the 24 hr service number, but no response anywhere. Our local eb office phone number i. E. 22604330, doesn't get line connected at all, whenever power goes off. That much of responsibility by the staff members : (Totally vexed with the eb service and their response....

            This tneb purposefully cutting the power at night very cunningly at 10pm to 1pm in thillai ganganagar area without any guiltiness. We are suffering very badly with kids not even one year. This power off is carried out in a regular basis. We've to struggle with us as of we have made a big sin our life. They won't attend calls if so used to lie like problem with transformer and they are trying to solve it.
            We are not rich enough to apt for inverter and we are affected

              In addition to the earlier complaint for unannounced power outage, today @ 22:00 hrs in nilamangai nagar, adambakkam, chennai 600088. As usual your eb staff do not attend the calls and keep the telephone down.

              What is the measure taken to arrest these complaints?
              Why there is no one to attend the complaints, atleast pick up our calls?
              Is tneb staff working or not, sundays as well...
              When the power supply will be resumed today?

              Continuous sparks in transformer in main road from MGR nagar Market towards MGR nagar Data Udipi stop near Mahal.. There is also a tree touching the transformer.. 3 to 4 shops are nearby.. Kindly repair the transformer.

                We all know indism facing lot of issues regarding electricity power many rural area too much powercut, but chennai main city facing too much power issues in summer its bad india is very well developed country and fully solar capable country still using coal supplies :/
                Is it hard to build solar power grid?
                Is it hard to implement strict rules?
                Is it hard to guide people in right path?
                Is it hard to being systematic life with less corruption?
                We cannot expect corruption free system
                We believe our country should concentrate on many things take care of people basic needs

                  Sir, this is the second complaint i am lodging within a period of 2 days. I am living in nilamangai nagar, adambakkam, chennai. Every year during summer there is always unannounced power cut in our area, while other areas in adambakkam receive uninterrupted power supply, especially during night time after 10 pm. 2 days back there was power cut at 10.15 pm and it was restored around 1.15 am only. The voltage is also very low around 190-195 only. Again today they have cut the powersupply after 10 pm. It is not attended immediately. The eb office keeps the receiver down till the power is restored so that nobody is able to complain. This causes extreme inconvenience to children, aged people, office goers and students who are having exams now. Nobody is able to sleep as the weather is sultry. I request the authorities to intervene and ensure uninterrupted power supply at night and swift action if power cut occurs. Electricity minister says there is no power cut. But here it is contrary.

                    I am farmer living in a village called rayanagoundervalsu near pallapatti, aravakurichi, karur. I have applied for tamilnadu agricultural service connection before 1 year ago, but still i have not received the service. When i cross checked with our village eb man he said that the tansformer is not there to give connection. But he is bribing money for several reasons like transporting the post, money for working, planting the electric post and also for many other things from many people farmers he bribe from like rs.10, 000 to rs.20, 000. I kindly request you to check and solve the problem.

                      Irresposible behaviour
                      There is a power cut in oneline for 2days. I registered a complaint at killiyoor, (Ph:[protected] kanniyakumari district. First they told we vill send one person. Aftr 3 hours i called again to eb office. They didnt do any process. Without doing anything they simply told, here is just 3 line man only. Their are worked in various place. So we cant resolve it today and also they told me (In tamil they said engaluku aayiram vela iruku. Antha pakkam vantha parkalam. Apdi line man vanthalum avangaluku kasu kudukanum one day la 4 or 5 times fues line touch ahi pohuth enthana vati sollium sari panala..) please take necessary action.

                        Dear tneb,
                        I am tamilventhan s residing at plot.25, narmada st, sri devi kumari amman nagar, velachery. A wire cover from a power line is hanging in our locality. The wire cover is hanging very low, almost touching the the ground below. Children in our locality play in our street and we fear they might touch the hanging cover out of curiosity. It is difficult to move our vehicles in and out of our home because of this hanging wire. Please do get this fixed at the earliest. Thanks in advance!

                            Hi,
                            We have bought a 3bhk flat in porur, chennai and have obtained no due letter from the builder. The builder has not obtained cc and tneb connection and allowed all residents (Around 400) to stay. The supply power connection from tneb temporary connection and from generators and started charging money. But we all have already paid rs.75000/- towards tneb power connection but the builder says tneb connection is possible till they get cc from cmda.

                            Meanwhile, the builder had installed (In the month of june 2017) the temporary meter (Not certified) for each resident and started charging money as per the meter.

                            Now, i would like to hear from the experts that do we have to pay the money as per builder bill? Is it legally valid to charge from us especially when we had already filled up the tneb new connection form-1 along with money (Rs.75000/-)

                            Pls advice.

                              We are the residents of nbr homes, chinnakullu village, muthali via, hosur. This is to bring to your notice about the illegal usage of water supply from the common layout's water borewell which is currently being used by two of our nbr residents without the knowledge of the tneb department or the other residents from a couple of days.
                              As the residents have collectively decided not to pay for the water bill, the tneb department has removed the main fuse in this regard, but the affoermentioned activities are going on without your knowledge.
                              Hence, we would request you on behalf of the other residents to take necessary action to solve this issue as soon as possible.

                                boreman/lineman misbehaviour

                                Last two days before boreman worked in our area and he disconnected my house connection. If we call and informed him to connect it but he said when i have time only i will come and he came after one day and he connected one connection instead of two connections in my house and if we call him again and asked but he is saying that you only gave hundred rupees so that i connected one connection for each connection he is asking one hundred rupees....

                                This is santhakumaran from kattavoor village, arasur post, ponneri tk-601204. Past one month in our kattavoor village transformer blade will be hanged.in my home there is a electrical issue. There is no option to turn the transformer because of incomer line blade hang.. So please take it has high priority to do that task in emergency manner.

                                  There are 16 flats (4 blocks each) in our flat (Kaveri) two owners are non cooperative. The transformer in our whole appt has gone on repair for the last 5 days the above two owners are not willing to share the cost. How to solve the problem.
                                  Can i get a new connection for my flat alone. Since there is no coperation between owners atall issues especially from g6
