I am a tenent @ house no.5-102 (1), 8th street, annanagar, k. K. Valasai, tenkasi - 627 803, with eb no. Sc 1794.

It was reported by the official taking reading last month (January 2018) that the meter is not working properly and the reading are not visible. So, he said that he will put an average bill value. But while checking for payment, it was noted that average was not noted but the highest rate in the past 6 months was noted.
It is brought to your kind notice that the value of eb bill is on decreasing rate for the past 6 months and the average will never come around 7000.

Again this is the same case during this month also. When enquired to the official taking reading, he said that he had registered last month itself and it will take long time for my turn. Till then i have to pay this amount or else i have to go to office and buy one.

Sir, when our consumption is less, and the mistake is that the meter is not visible properly, which is not our mistake, we are paying almost double time of the consumption.

Please do the needful to set our meter right. Also, intimate whether once the meter is replaced, can the extra amount paid by us can be calculated and replaced.

    My sc# - [protected] and belong to madurai (Arasaradi substation). Last month bill, i noticed that there is an excess bill amount of rs.225 charged against average shortfall. Why this amount has been billed when my electronic meter is working fine. Request tneb to adjust this amount of rs.225 and acknowledge. Otherwise this case will be taken legally with the help of consumer court.

            I have made online payment of Rs4882 thro SBI on 9th june 2017. money was debited from my sbi account .but the eb office informed me that my bill wasn't paid. I was asked to pay again by cash.and i have paid it again. But sbi is showing the statement for the money transferred to tneb. Now where is the amount paid by me. what is the solution to get my money back.?

            There is no proper timing of power cut in Porur. In night time they are taking power then how the children will sleep? When we r calling no response but the phone will ring. Worst service by the people. Night time power cut mns fir 3 to 4 hours how anyone can sleep?

              The bill was wrongly collected instead of rs.470, where rs.1010 was received for my account[protected]. I went thrice to collect my reimbursement but the staff was not returning my money & not available whenever he asked me to one & collect the money. I am physically challenged & the staff was irresponsible for his mistake & giving me pain by visiting the office without returning my money. Need to take proper action against him by finding his name & severally punished.

                We have rented our property in pudupakkam village near kelambakkam. After the tenants has vacated the property we have crosss checked with the tneb department to cross check if there is any non payment. We got a shocking news that we need to pay 36000/- when checking online the amount was 0. If there is non payment how we can use the electricity? What's the loop hole. Pls take necessary action on this and person who have mishandled.

                I am from tiruppur, I have paid my EB bill through online using Baroda bank netbanking on 29/01/18. There was problem in e- receipt genearation.I have made payment once again. then the amount(Rs.1130) has been debited twice from my account . Still i didn't get refund of amount 2250.

                    My TNEB service connection no.
                    [protected] . Bill for February 2018 paid online on[protected]. Paid through internet banking Axis Bank. Ref. No.INB[protected] TNEB. Rs. 6004.
                    The transaction was successful and the amount debited to my account. But the TNEB site is showing the amount as due. Kindly take urgent action to redeem, and settle so that I should not face disconnection on non payment ground.

Today 1/2/2018 a person named sundarrajan working as a line man in tamilnadu electricity board kumbakonam rural area came to my home at 11.30 am for disconnecting my house power supply due to unpaid last month bill at that time he scolding my aged mother with filthy words due to unpaid bill and he said, 'you stupid dogs u wandering me for searching your eb service number for last one week for this disconnection now. If today u paid this bill i never give connection i deliberately delayed to give connection and i give trouble regularly otherwise u never learn this lesson from me. And he tell no one ask me a question about my words i[censored] give complaint to any officer he never pluck my hair ' these are the words used by sundarrajan on his duty time he made unnecessary and mischievous scoldings against my mother she was return home after completing her treatment from past 10 days.                                   This month's electricity bill includes a previous bill (5/17) amount which has already been paid and the system is not accepting this month's payment alone (As there is no any any previous dues) i tried paying online and in eb office, i also tried to solve the issue by meeting the officials which was not solved

                                  Kindly look into it and solve the issue as today (31/1/18) being the last day for paying kindly make necessary arrangements to accept my payments for this month without fine or other charges

                                    We are the residence from subasree nagar, mugalivakkam, chennai. We are not getting three phase current instead we get only two phase. Ter are about 50 homes affected by this, for more than 10 days. We people keep on complaining about this but the eb people do not seem to mind. The eb person in mugalivakkam office is not responsible at all. He argues like இஷ்டம் இருந்த complain பன்னு இல்லன பொய்டே இரு... Im not sure wheater he has the interest to work or not. We fed up complaining and people started to install change-over for their home. Is the tneb is for the people or for the convinence of the eb employes? Why we people should adjust with power fluctuations n install change-over and inverters? We're paying for the electricity 2 months once right?

                                      We are residents of third cross street, chennai, tamilnadu, since 1957.
                                      We are having recurrent problem of high voltage fluctuations since long because the underground cabling has not been replaced for several years.
                                      Since we are among the early residents of the colony since inception we are attached to alwarpet sub station as against the later entrants who are attached to mylapore station who do not have similar problems as we do.
                                      For example since i returned to chennai from mumbai in 2008 i have faced electrical breakdown of automatic phase changers, two three phase electricity meters, running water heater, storage water heater (Both racold), tvs washing machine, thomson color tv, and the latest being godrej fridge and whirlpool ice magic fridge.
                                      We have been jointly representing for recabling but our complaints and requests have fallen on deaf years. For the last three days we are suffering from heavy voltage fluctuation and our complaint on 1912 draws a request to send a written complaint which we have already done.
                                      More than two years ago when the roads and pavements in the colony were being relaid at a cost of around 7.50lacs for the road and & 7.50 lacs for the pavement each, we represented to the corporation with copies to water and electricity supply authorities not to waste funds but to first of all replace the electric cables and underground drinking water supply pipes. This was not heeded to. We are sending our grievance expecting that the electricity suppliers may at least heed it this time.

                                      We are residents of chennai since 1950. For long the electricity board was charging us monthly bills. Later they introduced differential tariffs where we had to pay more if we crossed 100 units per month. Still later they introduced penalty rates for crossing 500 units per month.

                                      When one shri b. Vijayaraghavan (Ias) was chairman, tneb he introduced bi-monthly billing due to shortage of collection workers or some other problem.
                                      However the ceiling limit of 100 units and 500 units were not increased appropriately since the original rule stating per bill was left intact. Hence we
                                      Residents of tamilnadu are suffering due to this injustice perpetrated on us.
                                      It is impossibe for any family to exist on just 100 units for two months. And i have faced a situation where just for exceeding 500 units by less than 10 units i have had to pay heavy penalty amount. Even though the next bill showed 480 units there is so system of rewarding by refunding the penalty charges.
                                      While working in mumbai we had to pay electricity bills monthly. By introducing the system of bi-monthly bills tneb/tangedco is penalising the ordinary consumer which is unfair and unjust.
                                      They should appropriately increase the slab units from 100 to 200 and from 500 to 1000 units per bill. Otherwise a govt concern is profiteering from its hapless consumers. Especially since our complaints due to old cables etc.
                                      Are given the go-by. Alternatively, tneb/tangedco can restore monthly billing.
