Towards deposit, i issued a cheque no 879946 for rs1660/- on 7/6/2017 in favour of se south drawn on indian bank peters road, chennai-14. Tneb accepted and issued receipt subsequently i was informed that cheque was unsigned and got dishonoured and charged rs250/- as charges i made on line complaint on 19/6/2017 to waive charges since tneb failed to verify before accepting and presenting cheque for payment and made another complaint on 4/7/2017. The cheque is returned for want of my signature not for insufficient fund and should not be treated as dishonour. Till date my request is not answered

    This is second time I am complaint registering to tneb online. Last one month I have facing very difficult in single phase only coming I past one year. Many time we called and informed but no use. If any one take the necessary steps to take the complaint and rectify on immediately.

    Sorry, my address is venkstrshwara nagar, vanagaram main road, pour, chennai 600116 . single phase only coming that is also low voltage problem. Even tube light also not working. My kids are not sleeping well and mosquito problem fan also not working.

      Myself மூ.கிரிதரன்.
      Im living in guindy, chennai. I have done my examination and got good marks in TNEB direct recruitment posting of field assitant[protected].
      Luckily i got my result and cut off mark from tneb website . But now its crossing more than three months. But none of them took a action for field assistant interview and there is no pending case in H'ble high court. Then y u guys are making this too much of postponed and delay. Im waiting for this job interview more than 3 months. So kindly take action against this delay process.

        2 months back applied for new connection not yet given

        Address: 611101

        Have applied for new commercial connection 2 months, ie on 4.5.2017, back with tneb adiyakamangalam office, under tiruvarur, with all necessary papers including vao letter. Tax receipts etc but regret till now no connection given though they visited site and promised to give connection soon. Your intervention in expediting the connection is highly appreciated

        Low voltage complaint have past 3 years we are complained upto SE (perambalur )level but they are all answering under estimation process. but problem not solved why? what they want & why they are waiting & who response & more over where should we complaint & after howlong period taking to solve the problem . we think no end & nothing, and one is balance to knock the consumer court else we were living on the road.
        our area extra very low voltage as below 120v instead of 230V.

        I am resident of Vadaperumbakkam, anbu valarmati nagar. Chennai - 60. From past one month I am facing a problem of frequent disconnection of power supply on daily basis and frequency is around 10 times day and night . Its very difficult for resident over here at night. Pls look over my problem and take seriously.

          In our EB reading person did n't came for reading and mentioned every home as locked & charged extra amount. More than the reading amount. Please take necessary actions. This is not a first time they are doing like this, It will be great if you could solve this problem, Since lots of middle aged group living in our area, which will be really tough for them to tackle.             I Mr Danesh residing at plot no:25 Annai abirami Nagar, thadaperumpakkam​, ponneri-601204.mobile-[protected]
            Beside to my home there is well damaged electric post in vardha cyclone and current passing lines are lying down in my home facing lot of security issues to my family due to this electric line problem and I have raised a complaint to my local TNEB office but till date no action taken.so I would request to intervene in this matter and do the needful sir and for the proof I have attached a photo in this mail. thanks in advance

              TNEB thousand lights division is very lethargic in responding to consumers especially during nights and weekends. Complaint helpline 28330162 is wantedly switched off. Most technicians are drunk attending calls in night time.
              This area is populated with lodges and mansions. First priority is for lodges by tneb for their bribery. Very Worst and rude respone. Consumer from gaa khan 8th street. Thousand lights, Chennai 6

                I am belongs to poor farmer family and I have inverted my life time income for the bore well as we don’t have enough source of water for our agriculture land.
                To utilize the bore well water we have applied for the Electrical power connection( commercial connection, paying bill) on April 2017 at Uthangarai( Kallavi) location. And requested to respective officers to get the power connection ASAP. as per the procedure all required documents we have sublimated already. as per their expectation to process the Application we have already provided RS 10000( for further processing our application they are asking another RS 20000) Even though my application was not processed. Here by I would like to humbly request our honorable respective department to look in to the matter and resolve the issues and provide justice to help the farmers family’s. Looking for quickest actions and response towards our issues

                  We, Kosamattam Finance Limited, is a tenant in Door no : 163, I st Floor, Devaraj Building, Thiru vee kaa Street, Puliyampatti, and one of our branch is functioning at the said address, for the last four years and we were paying the said bill regularly. The last assessment made by you on 15.06.17 shows consumption of 920 units for a bill amount Rs 7968 /-. The same was paid today (29.06.2017) as per the instruction of your local office.

                  The average consumption for the last four years comes only 263 units. Therefore the present reading seems to be very high and we are sure that we have not consumed 920 units for the said period. Now it is understand that the meter running speed is fast and the local office assured to change the meter within two days.

                  Kindly look in to the matter urgently and make necessary arrangements to replace the meter and to refund the excess amount collected.

                      My usage is erratic, since some times I stay for long time or sometimes i do not use electicity, resulting in variations in my consumption.
                      This is treated as short fall taking the peak into consideration.
                      Meter not working is reported inspite of me using the power sparingly. TNEB is not giving me the proof that meter was stopped.
                      How do I get the proof that meter was stopped.Can I have my usage history on daily basis.
                      I can pay for record for last 6 months daily usage pattern & the spoiled meter quality report before & after detecting the fault

                      I am in Kundratthur recent days we suffered more issue especially in night time for power shutdown. Today more than 2hr no current. We tried BSNL number and JE number no response.
                      What we do don't know. Without reason power is shutdown long time.

                        Sc no[protected]. Our TN eb change new meter few days ago. Then our consumption charge is too high. Pls check our previous usage history. I think Maybe our new meter is fault. So pls take action immediately. And reduce our current eb bill amount. I'm using single fan, one CFL lamp, one system. Approximately daily 3 to 3 1/2 hours only using power.

                          I paid an electricity bill through online on 20/06/2017, my first transaction is sucessfull tneb debited the amount from my account of rs:920, but again it shows that you want to pay the electric bill, again i paid the electric bill my second transaction is sucessfull. After my second transaction only my bill is generated. So i need my first transaction refund amount.
                          Do the needful as soon as possible.

                              Respected sir,
                              I just wanted to bring to your notice about the following complaint since the builder ramani realtors is illegally using the eb connections in his coconut grove (Singanallur) project.
                              - he has not obtained the building completion certificate. And he has not given the occupancy certificate to any of the customers.
                              - he is illegally allowing the possession.
                              - further he is doing all malpractices like linking the commercial lifts connection to unsold flats eb residential connection. He is using the eb connection of one tower's unsold flats to another tower's flats where he has not got the eb connection at all. He is transferring the connection in an unsafe manner.
                              - it seems he is involved in all sought of illegal practices.

                              Hence i kindly request you to verify this and take the needed action against this builder.

                                The street light in our street entrance in brindhavan 4th cross street, srinivasa nagar, madipakkam, has not been working for more than two months now. The area is already too dark and isolated, with street lights, and now it is very unsafe for us in that area, without these lights.

                                  Our adrenalin pulsed to a fever pitch on the atrocious heartless activities of your field men while laying cables. Telephonic complaints to the competent authorities have yielded nil response and hence this communique.
                                  As part o[censored]nderground electrical cable networking at ashtalakshmi nagar, 9th st. Velachery, chennai-42, your men started laying the cable just adjacent tostorm waterdrain waterway that too barely ½ a foot beneath road surface throwingall prescribed norms to wind.
                                  The issue at stake is that our life is at peril. Storm water ways inlets chocking are something that which is not uncommon particularly during heavy downpour warranting human intervention with appropriate metallic tools. This manual intervention leaves us with a wide scope of puncturing the closely laid electrical cable and the consequent impact on human life is foreseeable. This should have been anticipated by your learned field officers before issuing the work permit. This is a clear case of intransigence and lackadaisical attitude wherein they failed to apply their mind in their over enthusiasm to facilitate smooth completion of the contractor’s job though flawed, compromising on the safety of your consumers.
                                  Cedc under normal circumstances is expected to owe its allegiance to public safety at large for their survival and subsistence is met out from public exchequer. Misplaced loyalty is not only misconduct but tantamount to breach of trust too. This culture and mind set needs to be nipped in the bud for endangering human existence is definitely neither the stated objective nor in your agenda - we strongly believe. Hence we look at you with an eye of faith forwe believe you will not allow us to be orphaned by the merciless hearts whose overwhelming patronage to contractors could as well kill us.
                                  Therefore sir, please save us from the heartless few by ordering to relay the cable as per prescribed norms at the earliest before monsoon sets in.
