We, Kosamattam Finance Limited, is a tenant in Door no : 163, I st Floor, Devaraj Building, Thiru vee kaa Street, Puliyampatti, and one of our branch is functioning at the said address, for the last four years and we were paying the said bill regularly. The last assessment made by you on 15.06.17 shows consumption of 920 units for a bill amount Rs 7968 /-. The same was paid today (29.06.2017) as per the instruction of your local office.

The average consumption for the last four years comes only 263 units. Therefore the present reading seems to be very high and we are sure that we have not consumed 920 units for the said period. Now it is understand that the meter running speed is fast and the local office assured to change the meter within two days.

Kindly look in to the matter urgently and make necessary arrangements to replace the meter and to refund the excess amount collected.

      My usage is erratic, since some times I stay for long time or sometimes i do not use electicity, resulting in variations in my consumption.
      This is treated as short fall taking the peak into consideration.
      Meter not working is reported inspite of me using the power sparingly. TNEB is not giving me the proof that meter was stopped.
      How do I get the proof that meter was stopped.Can I have my usage history on daily basis.
      I can pay for record for last 6 months daily usage pattern & the spoiled meter quality report before & after detecting the fault

      I am in Kundratthur recent days we suffered more issue especially in night time for power shutdown. Today more than 2hr no current. We tried BSNL number and JE number no response.
      What we do don't know. Without reason power is shutdown long time.

        Sc no[protected]. Our TN eb change new meter few days ago. Then our consumption charge is too high. Pls check our previous usage history. I think Maybe our new meter is fault. So pls take action immediately. And reduce our current eb bill amount. I'm using single fan, one CFL lamp, one system. Approximately daily 3 to 3 1/2 hours only using power.

          I paid an electricity bill through online on 20/06/2017, my first transaction is sucessfull tneb debited the amount from my account of rs:920, but again it shows that you want to pay the electric bill, again i paid the electric bill my second transaction is sucessfull. After my second transaction only my bill is generated. So i need my first transaction refund amount.
          Do the needful as soon as possible.

            There is one electrical pole which is very much
            Unsafe while raining season due to its broken condition, few days back there

              Its really annoying very much when i am trying to pay my eb rent every time, this time worse than ever i am trying to make the payment from last 3 days on my desktop, laptop and mobile on various browser like chrome, firefox, safari and ie and felt waste of time to do it online. Login is the major problem its very difficult to login to the dashboard even if i tried correct credential very few time only i can able to view the dashboard! More...

              Respected sir,
              I just wanted to bring to your notice about the following complaint since the builder ramani realtors is illegally using the eb connections in his coconut grove (Singanallur) project.
              - he has not obtained the building completion certificate. And he has not given the occupancy certificate to any of the customers.
              - he is illegally allowing the possession.
              - further he is doing all malpractices like linking the commercial lifts connection to unsold flats eb residential connection. He is using the eb connection of one tower's unsold flats to another tower's flats where he has not got the eb connection at all. He is transferring the connection in an unsafe manner.
              - it seems he is involved in all sought of illegal practices.

              Hence i kindly request you to verify this and take the needed action against this builder.

                The street light in our street entrance in brindhavan 4th cross street, srinivasa nagar, madipakkam, has not been working for more than two months now. The area is already too dark and isolated, with street lights, and now it is very unsafe for us in that area, without these lights.

                Please take appropriate action and bring us light in our area.

                  Our adrenalin pulsed to a fever pitch on the atrocious heartless activities of your field men while laying cables. Telephonic complaints to the competent authorities have yielded nil response and hence this communique.
                  As part o[censored]nderground electrical cable networking at ashtalakshmi nagar, 9th st. Velachery, chennai-42, your men started laying the cable just adjacent tostorm waterdrain waterway that too barely ½ a foot beneath road surface throwingall prescribed norms to wind.
                  The issue at stake is that our life is at peril. Storm water ways inlets chocking are something that which is not uncommon particularly during heavy downpour warranting human intervention with appropriate metallic tools. This manual intervention leaves us with a wide scope of puncturing the closely laid electrical cable and the consequent impact on human life is foreseeable. This should have been anticipated by your learned field officers before issuing the work permit. This is a clear case of intransigence and lackadaisical attitude wherein they failed to apply their mind in their over enthusiasm to facilitate smooth completion of the contractor’s job though flawed, compromising on the safety of your consumers.
                  Cedc under normal circumstances is expected to owe its allegiance to public safety at large for their survival and subsistence is met out from public exchequer. Misplaced loyalty is not only misconduct but tantamount to breach of trust too. This culture and mind set needs to be nipped in the bud for endangering human existence is definitely neither the stated objective nor in your agenda - we strongly believe. Hence we look at you with an eye of faith forwe believe you will not allow us to be orphaned by the merciless hearts whose overwhelming patronage to contractors could as well kill us.
                  Therefore sir, please save us from the heartless few by ordering to relay the cable as per prescribed norms at the earliest before monsoon sets in.

                    Regarding illegal setting up of electrical pole in private property

                    We are having a plot in tirunelveli dist., cheranmahadevi div., karisalpatti panchayat, karisalpatti village. An electric pole and a transformer has been set in the middle of our plot without​ our knowledge.
                    The tneb department did not consult even the local counselor​ or the panchayat president whether the road is there or not in that place. Please remove the pole and transformer immediately....

                    Grievance handling system

                    The consumer grievance redressal system - cgrf in registering the consumers grievance and resolving within 60 days and further appeal to t/n electricity ombudsman who passes final order after 3 months is an outdated system. Refer proceedings of the tangedco no 1 dated 2.02.2016.
                    The new proceedings was incorporated further to the go 99/205 based on the madras high court orders. But still the tangedco has not started adopting. The proceedings...

                    Current connection is disconnected temporarily due to building re construction and to resume the connection the amount paid as per the bill and thousand rupees extra collected without any reason. Now there is no response still to establish the connection even after getting more money. It seems they are looking fr more money. Please take necessary action

                      I am recently purchased a home. I had all the documents deed copy, house tax all the things, I changed to my name. But comes to EB name transfer, I came to know that for name transfer fee will take only Rs.200. but AE charging me as Rs.1700. I visited the office at 11'o clock. He gave a form to get signature from the seller of my home. After I visited office at 12.30pm . There after he simply left the office and EB employees forced me to stay when AE came back to office. Time is now 2.30pm. any suggest me how to do name transfer online for EB?. Any one take necessary action on AE.

                        It's been close to a month since we got proper electricity. Suddenly at mid night the current goes off. You expect us to pay electricity bill and all other taxes, in other words you will beg from us and won't give back anything. Please be reminded that we pay you all, starting from government till the base. Don't fool with us. We aren't fools which would've been proved in our protest. Don't compel us for more. Give proper electricity and beg money from us. We are the makers.

                          Their is no power since 21/june /2017 10.30pm house address:no 88/52 vs mudali street, saidapet, chennai-15). We have complaint multiple times but tneb office doing completely unprofessional work specially the area manager his contact no:[protected]. He is doing complete mental harrasment by not receiving call and continuously extending issue fix time... He not at all taking proper actions.. Till now power was not there.. Considering this as mental harrasment we demand for strict action against particulars.

                            The account number [protected] from rkn depo we given the written complaint to the ae for meter display was not working which come in our notice by meter reading officer, the removed on 15/06/2017 and at that they told tomorrow we will replace it, but now its more then one week daily they the local area office are ignoring the matter, its a small factory and we and our employee suffering from this.

                              Complaint no : 49 filed at 1.15am after trying to reach customer care for 2 hours from 10.15 pm.
                              There was low voltage from 10.15 pm on 21/6/17 till the time of this complaint 4.40 am. (Still not resolved) for the past six hours the voltage is very low in madipakkam new kuberan nagar. Tried calling tneb medipakkam at 22581010 from 10.30 to till now but no one answered the call. I called up 1912 five times between 1.15 to 4.30 and they have told me everytime that it'll be rectified in half an hour but nothing happened.
                              (Still not rectified)

                              This is the way tneb treat a public? Am going to file a complaint in consumer redressal for misguiding me and made me suffer for the entire night without any sleep.
                              I need a clarification from tneb higher official and a public apology to consumers in newspaper immediately and also take severe action against each and every employee of tneb madipakkam.

                              Also tried calling AE. He also didn't pick up the phone. So the employees of TNEB Madipakkam must be punished severely for non performance of their duties.

                                  Se. No.[protected] guduvanchery east existing my flat was effected under tf lm61/vi used for building construction for the period of 3/15 to 7/16. After building construction service changed from tf lm61/vi to tf laia for flat's common domestic service on 27/7/16.
                                  Please check this service assessment history for get more details on some misleading meter reading on construction period. Same meter is continuing for the service assessment till now but recently there has been accd deposit rs.2560 requested for the service in the construction period reading. Pease check this issue and cancel the deposit.
